This might be an odd question, but.. do we need to talk to him?
We need to stop his ritual before it finishes, possibly before he can shunt us out again too. I'm not going to stop you, but if talking doesn't go well, I advocate a boot to the head.

That's about where I'm leaning, but I'm guessing Kilga has a plan of some sort.

BACK OUT OF BED

I have no particular conversation plan.

ts;wtrm

[00:20:03] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> So what does Nue do now?
[00:20:30] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> We're at Rinnosuke. We've TOUCHED him. I don't think he has anything capable of stopping us from just ramming the trident down his throat until he chokes.
[00:20:46] <DracoOmega> I wonder at that, though it does seem possible
[00:20:55] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> And yet he's just sitting there, doing nothing to defend himself.
[00:21:07] <DracoOmega> As you've pointed out, taking the cards is probably a bad idea, unless this countercurse will surpress a retriggering (and I wouldn't count on it)
[00:21:21] <DracoOmega> But that may have ironically made you triggering it earlier a good thing!
[00:21:30] <DracoOmega> Because it would be a hell of a lot worse for it to happen here
[00:21:31] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> For all the aggravation he's put us through, I find myself having a hard time outright attacking him.
[00:21:40] <DracoOmega> I don't
[00:21:54] <DracoOmega> I'd love to throw one of those curses right back on him somehow
[00:22:05] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> Then you beat him up. I can't bring myself to do it. <_<
[00:22:17] <Reisen-Udongein-Inaba> Not with him doing nothing in self-defense and Byakuren sitting upstairs.

tl;dr if someone else wants to beat him up go right ahead. I just don't really want to do it myself, because I don't think I could play the part properly.

I advocate hitting him right away and grabbing the spellcards. We can talk once we have our things back (and since they were taken from us without permission, taking them back may not even trigger the curse, depending on how said curse works).

>Throw a rock or something towards the stairs to see if the paradox thing affects objects exiting the area as well as entering it. Handy to know if we need to make a run for it.
>Punch him in the face and grab our spellcards.

Might come down to that, but I don't feel we know enough yet. Remember, his logic is that the transaction was between him and Tewi, and Tewi was the true owner of the spellcards. "Stealing" them will certainly trigger the curse. I'll admit I'm not sure what to do here. However, if we DO take the spellcards, we'll need to knock him unconscious. I think possibly knocking him unconscious (meaning use danmaku) and dragging him out of his ritual site will do a lot more good.

>Do we think we could drag an unconscious Rinnosuke through the tunnel?

Knocking him out is kind of the point of punching him in the face.

And you think that would be enough to knock him out? You'd have to be pretty precision to do that. And taking the cards would make us useless.
