You know what fucking sucks?

When you're the only one trying to kill Monoculus.
I usually go around backstabbing engineers with unwrangled sentries and anyone else I see shooting at teammates.

Or I'm whoring all the gifts as scout, one or the other.
Cheating? I cannot even wrap my head around the point of it. Wouldn't you know you had cheated? How on Earth could you maintain crisp certainty of your superiority to all others? And if you're unable to do that, what's the point of anything?

No worries, it took me a year to even pick up one, and even then I have no idea how I managed to get it.

If we wanted to cheat the system, we can always just gather up enough of us on the MotK server to get the gifts to spawn, then password-protect it so we can get all the gifts that we can handle.

I'd say it'd be okay but that means Gpop, omgkitties, and I will have to announce password here, send in bulk PM, or use multi-user/group chat with password. Moreover we should set a time for this to occur.

I'd be down with that. (I already made a suggestion over TS about that yesterday :V) I've gotten one present from Mann Manor now, which was the Engineer Mask. 8 more to go!
I figured out how to play midi in games with a different device on Win7 ^^

If we're talking about the Holloween gifts here, not sure if we can easily cheat it.
Taken from the wiki,
Quote
Ten player connections to the server are required (meaning players who are on a team, in spectator, or actively joining the server) for the gift to drop; additionally, servers must be registered with TF2 Quickplay on Steam, to prevent cheating or farming to gain items. The total player count only includes actual Steam clients, not bots or the replay user.

The important part being that you need to be registered for Quickplay and Quickplay servers can not be password protected.

That's not true.  It must be registered with Steam, it does not have to be eligible for quick play (you can even use "tf_server_identity_disable_quickplay 1" to disable quick play for a registered server). See the KB article.

And yes, I've done the private server thing and got gifts/Monoculus spawns.  Stopped doing it because being a ninja on pubs was more "profitable" as far as getting gifts goes.

In Mann Manor, HHH appeared and we got the last control point, where he was, anyway. :V

Been in so many games that everyone kept killing each other as if Monoculus didn't exist, then rages once they got killed by it.
The server I'm usually at was quite good at targeting Monoculus, even going as far a farming him at one time.  Though they don't go to there that map much anymore.

Also-

I've named my Strange Backburner, "Mokou's Cigarette Lighter".

I have a Strange Eyelander and a Strange Half-Zatoichi for trade, will trade either for another Strange I don't already have.

So last night when looking for servers to join I noticed that there were actually 2 people randomly lurking our server.

So I decided to join and see what's up just to see them fool around.

Naturally, I decided to fool around with them too by slapping them around silly.

Then I decided to fool around with some of the functions.

Sadly, the blind function was a bit broken. I blinded one of them for a bit, but it seems that you can't unblind them later. So it seems to be buggy in this sense :(

Deal!

I also have an ordinary, but not usable in crafting Eyelander, Axtinguisher, and Equalizer for trade as well.

The blind function works for a set duration (usage: blind <player> <value>) or until they are killed, whichever comes first.
I was playing with admin controls and cvar adjustment as well overnight (with BSoD and Shady), much to their chagrin. :V

We can't set server password though.

EDIT: On another note, YER with standard watch is freaking brilliant...kept stabbing opponents and forced half of them to go Pyro. I'm normally a DR user, though, but it's a bit harder to use that when there's no disguising function to better fool things around. :V

What I love more about YEW is that I can not only fool medics into thinking I'm still the same guy, but also when going into engineer nests, if they're too busy building, I can easily stab them first then sap sentries, it makes it easier to kill dumb engineers :V

You should already be able to do that unless there are multiple sentries.

I've given up on the stab'n'sap technique on my computer. It's like it knows when I'm about to do it and times a half-second lockup or framerate chop perfectly between the stab and the sap, and I tend to get ripped apart.

This sounds like my computer. When I'm about to do something is when it decides "Oh hey, you're doing something? Let me help!"

FFFFFFFFFFF

Also, I had the stupidest engineers ever on Mann Manor's map. They were bunched around the main entrance to the final control point, 2 of them, and I was disguised. I sapped both sentries and both dispensers, spun around and kept doing it because they were fixing them, and kept that up for quite a while till one decided to actually hit me. :V Least I got one sentry to blow up though.
Took them that long to figure it out. :derp:

So I played a bit of Eyeaduct.

Most of the time people seem to be more interested in shooting each other than killing Monoculus. Highlight of the session was finally getting to kill the thing, entering the island, running up to the book, waiting for the cage to open... and getting killed right before it becomes touchable so I see the guy who killed me entering it in the killcam.

Whee.  :derp:

Yeah, getting an Eyeaduct server that actually cares about killing Monoculus is pretty tough. I don't understand why people don't just go play koth on a normal server if they're not going to bother with the event.

On a completely unrelated note, this is why I don't like playing Medic anymore.

Fuck guys let's add this to for our server:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMDzVxfo564

I would love it if this guy added CP to this.
Quote
CP_ClockTown

5 points- roof across the clock tower, plaza at 6:34, plaza opposite that one, and underground balloon room

Once those 4 are capped, the clock slides up revealing the staircase that leads to the final point above the tower.

Day/Night cycle is sped up to make the map last 10 minutes

If the defending team successfully defends, the moon falls and everything explodes

If the attacking team succeeds, Song of Time is played and everything is good, attacking team can kill defending.

FUND IT

Though it'd be more fitting if the first 4 points are on each clock town areas (north, south, east, and west side).

Last night was quite entertaining. I hopped into a server that Strafe and Shady were on and ended up on top of the leaderboard with the two of them. I can't begin to describe how awful the teams were, but it was actually kinda fun rampaging around on fiery murder sprees. I added ~70 kills to my Axe through the course of that one match alone.  :V

...You know the other team is bad when a lone Pyro can take out a team's entire backline, then move on to two Heavy/Medic pairs and bring them down too.
