But when we switched over to VSH things got hilarious, mass engineers, Hale literally flying, those damn taunts. Overall, this was great and i can't wait for it to happen again.
'SCREW GRAVITY!' *engie camp in Granary keeps shooting away*

I completely forgot about that time. I'm happy now because that means get to play an actual match for more than 2 minutes at a time because the game felt like there was too much violence. Assuming we do something other than TF2 ware.
Hahaha.

I suggested TF2Ware since that is one of my favourite mods for TF2 (VSH being the other). Of course if you all want more vanilla play we can do that too. Hell, if more VSH is clamoured for, that works!

Also, please let me know if I haven't added you yet.
You're already on my Friends list, so we're good there.

By the way, did anybody record the playing this time? (The regular games in particular? :V )
Ah, the regular games...Iryan was wiping the floor in them, while I kept feeding yuyukos Caber explosions :V. Good matches even though performance wasn't as expected.

Hope everyone had fun on the normal maps and on the VSH server, looking forward to doing this again in the future.
As I said earlier I'll likely do an encore run with others who either couldn't make it or just want more. I'm going for this since my desktop is still stuck installing Windows (need some way to kill the time), MC server has problems, and my laptop hates MC with a passion while TF2 runs 30+FPS most of the time on 720p.

Also, have a look at some of the sprays.
Ehe, and mine (Rampaging Sakuya on upper-right) was also animated for even greater effect :V

Well I dunno if anyone got replays since the server EP chose didn't allow replays, which is why I tried looking for those that time.

But yeah, VSH is always fun <3 Had to leave early though since dad needed to use the comp for something x.x

Whoops! I'll take that into account on the next server I choose, provided there is one that has the Replay option.

EDIT: 25 minutes left until next one :V

I've got a couple of servers on my favorites list that allow replays but I can't guarantee if they'll be empty, and they're all vanilla TF2 maps - some CP, some PL.

Cheating? I cannot even wrap my head around the point of it. Wouldn't you know you had cheated? How on Earth could you maintain crisp certainty of your superiority to all others? And if you're unable to do that, what's the point of anything?

Fun vanilla games though. Gamecubic is fucking awesome.

I'd never played TF2ware up until then. Have to say that it's pretty fun... then the fact that I actually won as Hale in VSH was pretty surprising.

Also, the reason why I didn't get as many kills last time was because I was too busy fucking around with the Spy. Fun to backstab MotK'ers BV

I dunno, if we had our own server it'd be nice to do this more weekly, like every Saturday or weekend

I'm sure we could in theory have our own. As proven by Stuffman/Strafe and the MotK Minecraft server, we don't need to host a server on TSO's systems to be considered official. A dedicated host will do! :D

However, there are leagues of empty servers available, and someone has to know how to manage needed plugins such as HLStatsX, SourceOp, TF2Items, and any plugins for any custom gamemodes we may have (I'd suggest having VSH, TF2Ware, and Randomizer Arena preloaded). And then there's server management overall to deal with...it proved cumbersome at times for DDRMANIAC007, Stuffman, and Strafe on their Minecraft servers (support ticket denials, host implosions, plugin conflicts, etc.).

Alternatively we could do this more often, like every 2-3 weeks instead of every month.

True, which is why I don't really feel like actually hosting one myself, but having one anyways would be nice x.x

But yeah, it'd be nice to do it a little more frequently. It's always fun to play with the entire group.

I actually was thinking about getting a VPS to play around with, maybe I will take a swing at setting up a server. No prior experience before, though, so no promises.

Well if you're willing to get us a private server (with a pass and all so we don't get bombarded with random players), then that'd be awesome, we'd highly appreciate your efforts. Seriously.

Hehe, neat.

I'd consider this too but my only experience with it is being a moderator on the MC server for a week. Don't mind learning commands though.

And password system won't work, since anyone can read this thread. Whitelist is IMO best (as we have done on the MC server since Stuffman and Strafe took over).

Of course...but we're still publicly advertising the server in a way.

One thing I must make clear though is that the server IP does NOT get advertised outside the TF thread. Major griefer problems occurred after DDR (server admin) did so for a server event.

I wish I had a Machina and a Widowmaker. The latter I'm not too concerned about with the metal requirements, since I'm planning on going Gunslinging and it only usually kills idiot scouts on offensive/defensive to get any real crits for the F-Justice.

A well-placed Mini-sentry will oftentimes snatch kills from your teammates when they're fighting others - seeing as how the turrets have no firing lag and are attacking with perfect accuracy and frequency, whereas anyone but a Pyro or a Heavy at point-blank range has gaps between their firing.

...Which makes Mini-sentries so effective. Position one on a point, and if it is a good position, nobody can reach it.

I actually find mini-sentries WAY more effective in the front line rather than level 3 sentries. Level 3 sentries are more suited for defense, while Mini-sentries, due to their mobility and ease of deployment, are far more useful in front line offense and defense.
