Probably only for crafting. The damage vulnerabilities it causes tends to counteract the use of Goomba stomping with Mantreads. If they weren't so severe - as in, don't bother using it in an actual game for added mobility, but instead for practicing your rocket jumps in an empty server - then maybe it'd be worthwhile in combination with the Market Gardener and Mantreads.

It's a nice troll weapon, though, if you like griefing your teammates.

Kritzkrieg + Rocket Jumper = Maximum trolling

Forza, if you want the jumper, you'll have to add me to your friends list and not the other way around because of account restrictions.

So:
Forza - Rocket Jumper, Dueling Game (the duels are guaranteed to you, badges are worthless to me)
Mouse - Rocket Jumper
Exuro - 9 Worthless Crates (keep them, I could care less)

The two of you who want the jumper, either one of you want to sweeten your offers on it? I might be tempted to favor one over the other... >:D
If not, I'll just flip a coin, best out of 3 'cause I suck at flipping coins.
Forza is heads, Mouse is tails.

I have an Original. It's technically no different from the stock launcher, but for the most part, the stock is the most versatile anyway.

If there are any weapons you still need that I have duplicates of, I'd be willing to hand one over for it. I just don't know what ones I have extras of at the moment.

Not true.  The rockets shoot straight down the crosshair instead of to the right of it (or the left you've flipped the viewmodels).  Some people like this because that's how they are used to rockets behaving in other games.

That also provides an advantage compared to the default launcher when you need to shoot around a corner to the left of you in exchange to not being as good at shooting around things to your right, and when you're rocket jumping.  You usually want to jump to your "left" since the rocket comes out the right (default launcher) and is further away you get more horizontal momentum and less height.  That's important for not taking fall damage.  With The Original both left and right is neutral so the behavior is more consistent for less experienced rocket jumpers.

Other than that they are the same.

No, that would be the Machina when you get a penetration kill.

The Original sounds awesome all the time.

The Machina still sounds much better than all of the rifles, though the Bazaar Bargain is pretty close.

You get a similar ear-piercing screech if you manage to hit multiple targets with the entire spray from a Force-a-Nature, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways still lookin for a Sticky Jumper :O
There are many shenanigans to be had with it.

Is it me, or is the Machina's cons kinda redundant? Most servers has killcam on to reveal your location anyway.

I've never played any of the Doom or Quake games before, so I'm very interested in how the different perspective of the Original will affect my gameplay. For other launchers, I'm looking for either a Direct Hit or a Black Box. I realize that asking for a Liberty Launcher is a bit too much for just a Rocket Jumper, so I'll go through the crafting route to get it because yeah. (Speaking of the Direct Hit, I've seen some people running around with DHs with a +50% ammo bonus. What's up with that?) The Cow Mangler is cool and all, but it didn't take very long for me to find out that it wasn't my type of launcher. Its only real pro is the extra shot in the mag, and its drawbacks are too severe to be worth using it: reduced damage to everything, unable to be crit-boosted, a charged shot that is only marginally better than the standard round, and slow firing and reload times.

Realistic version:

"YE GADS ME BONNIE WAS JUS' SPLATTERED"

*looks at trace*

ACH THERE YE ARE *a million grenades descend upon the sniper* I'M DRUNK

You forgot the part where half of the team completely forgets about the offense/defense and switches to Sniper to try and get him back even though he only killed one guy.

Man. All these F2P kids are making me think I'm a pro Pyro now.
I have, however, completely mastered the art of Detonator jumping, and it's a lot of fun to see people react to it;
2Fort, top of the bridge - "WTF stop shooting rockets at that Pyro he's using it to rocket jump to the top of the bridge!" Followed by me lighting up the snipers and dancing around constantly so they can't do shit
Gravel Pit, the tunnels that lead to BLU spawn - "Goddamn hacking Pyro! Pyros can't get up here! Votekick, votekick!"
Badwater Basin, the big room near the Final Terminus... hoping up over the railing and jumping through the door that leads to their spawn - "Oh shit I gotta stop playing Sniper if these Pyros are getting all the way up next to me without me noticing"
Additionally, launching across the chasm between those two buildings overlooking the tracks is a lot of fun, too. It's easy to go one way - from Defending towards Offense team, but going from Offense to Defense requires a Scout, Soldier, or Demo aided jump to make it across. I think. Haven't seen anyone else do it.

Trust me, I feel the same way too, and I was part of the F2P bandwagon.

Degreaser + shotgun + axtinguisher is amazing setup. I kill heavies with it no fucking problem. People yell at me for killing them way too fast.

I don't know. People think that you must suck as much as they do. That's one of the reasons they shout "HACKS" anyway.

I feel badass when I get accused of hacking though. :V

It's even better when I'm on the 2Fort-Saraya server that I have favorited; that's an established server, hosted by a long-running clan, and even they get surprised when they see me on top of the bridge. Several of them have tried to make it over, themselves, but they're not using the Gas Jockey set. That 10% movespeed bonus is critical to getting up there, unless you're airblasting a rocket at the ground and launching yourself up. I bounce across and meet the Scouts that are up there harassing our Snipers and they're like WTF JUST HAPPENED WHY IS THERE A PYRO BURNING ME

But no I also mean just the sheer mobility that comes with being a Detonator Pyro - and on top of that, I've gotten pretty good at nailing people with it twice/when they've been ignited already. Since I'm using the Degreaser, that overwrites the weaker afterburn. It's gratifying to have a long range fight with a Heavy+Medic pair and knock out the Medic without the Heavy even realizing what just happened, though again I'm sure that's because of F2P kids not realizing they can throw their Sandvich on their Medics. A mini-crit from a Detonator is enough to wipe out any over-healing the Heavy has, too.
The only thing that I *really* have trouble with is either coming around the corner and bumping directly into a Heavy with his Tomislav spun up, and getting mowed down, or another Pyro wielding the Backburner. My latency issues making it hard for me to keep a flame trained on such a mobile target combined with the 10% bonus damage their flame deals usually results in me dying. Feels bad, man. I always taunt them by saying 'Damn, curse the Frontburner!' as a sort of anger-filled jab at them W+M1 the Backburner.

Anyways, enough about me. Has anyone been tempted to rename a Medi-gun to 'Strange Medi-gun' and using a description tag to mimic the '0 kills' line on it? Just to screw with people's heads?

I only got a name tag with me right now, so I can't do that.

I remember making a mistake though with the name tags. I renamed my (crafted) Degreaser "Sukima Generator", but I miss clicked and renamed my other, dropped one instead. I'm not currently using Sukima Generator. I want to pick up another name tag and rename my crafted one the "Sukima Generator" and discard my other Degreaser.

I don't know. I like it better when I use weapons that have "Crafted by Yukarin" on the description.

I happen to have a description tag. I was tempted to use it on my Backburner, and say 'Works well as a Frontburner, too' but I never use the Backburner anyways so no

Also I don't use the Medi-gun nearly as often as I should, opting instead for the Quick Fix (who's Ubercharge is just as effective so long as you're not trying to bum-rush the entire enemy team, and it charges much faster and heals the Medic as well) so perhaps we could find something to trade for the Description Tag? I'm especially interested in a Sticky Jumper, but there's probably other things I'd be interested in, too.

Speaking of weapons, though, all the weapons on the last page of my backpack are up for grabs. Still have some Uber update ones lurking in there.
