>"I've already visited Reimu. Parsee, and the other person who helped me out in the institute are taking shelter there for the moment. And I promised Nitori I'd pick her up to protect her from the Foundation people."
>"I'm actually kind of worried about Orin, too. I was with her only a short time ago, and then she didn't answer her cell phone, after the fight with Kanako and Suwako."
> "One thing is bugging me though. Sanae and Kanako both told me over and over various things basicly saying that I am in the wrong and am being selfish. When I think about it... I wonder if putting everything back to how it was would make Satori suffer... I don't want to make her suffer, and yet she would likely tell me to "do what I think is right." But even knowing that, I'm hesitant about it all. I'm guessing at what she would say, but I have no idea if she would rather live this life over her life in the real Gensokyo."
>"Yes, I know. Still, after all this, I think I'd like to hear it from her own mouth. I think I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't at least try."
>"So, will you need to be with someone in person to awaken them, or can you do it from a distance?"
>"Patchouli, you mean?"
>"Ok, maybe you can go wake her up, and get that painting. I'll try to reach Satori."
>"Do you have a cell phone so that we can keep in touch if anything happens?"
>Give her Yamame's cell phone number
> "It sounds like a good plan to me, does it sound good to you?"
>"Yeah, I understand the need for speed and keeping a low profile and all. But yes, this is one of the couple things I really think needs to be done, if I'm not going to be doubting myself forever about how this played out."
>"I'll get in touch with Satori, and you go deal with Patchouli. Keep me updated, and if you look like you're about to get into a confrontation with anyone, let me know immediately. I may not have much left in me, but I'll do what I can, ok?"
>"Thanks. But I don't have time to rest either. I need to go fetch Satori."
>Head to the balcony.
>"Good luck to you. To both of us."
>Fly off towards your home, and give Satori a phone call on the way.
>"Satori? It's me."
>"They're not still there, are they?"
>"Look, I can only imagine how worried you must be. I'm still ok, for the time-being. And the story on the news is only half-true. You know I'm not a criminal like that. There's a lot of stuff going on, and I need to see you in person. Do you think they're watching the house?"
>Are we in any shape to carry Satori for any distance?
>Or does she actually have a car, or something?
>"Just hang tight. I'll be there soon, and I'll do my best to explain everything."
>"Oh, and have you heard from Orin in the last little while?"
>How close are we to home, now?
>"Hmmm... ok. Well, I'll be there soon. I'll get everything straightened out, don't worry."
>Say goodbye and try calling Orin again.
>"Oh, thank god. I thought something had happened to you. Thanks for thinking of that, too."
>"A lot's happened since we talked last. Both of the Moriya gods fought me to try and keep me from changing things back, but I managed to defeat them, barely. I'm not sure how long they'll be out, though, and I'm not in any shape for a second round if they recover faster than I do, so I'm trying to move quickly."
>"I took the object that they used to change the world, and found someone who can use it to fix things, but there's some people I need to talk to about that, first."
>Yamame's is close to our house, right? Would it be possible to swing by there on the way?
>"Yes. It means we can fix all of this. But... some of the things Kanako and Suwako said bother me. They said that I was being selfish. That I only wanted to change the world for myself, and that I'd be making other people suffer for my sake. And... I want to talk to some of the people who they say I'd be harming by setting things back. I don't think they're right, but I want to hear it from their own mouth, or I may always worry that I screwed up in a major way, tonight."
> "I'm glad your ok sis. I was actually scared when you didn't pick up before. Stay safe."
>"Just hang tight. I might be by your place shortly."
>Head towards Yamame's
> If we are still on the line tell Orin "Knock Knock."
> Are we in the back-yard or the front? Either way, give a knock on the door.
>Go on inside
>"No, probably not. But Kanako and Suwako are worse, at least. I'll be ok. I didn't know I had it in me to beat two gods at once. And I... don't think I've ever been so worried about losing, before, either. I don't want them to just take my memories away again. And they'd make sure I never found them again, this time."
>"Anyway, Orin. I think I can restore your memories and power, now. I assume you want this?"
>"You should have seen it. The police are all over the place, now. I wonder what they think happened? I left Kanako and Suwako passed out on a roof. ...I wonder if someone found them? Well, no time to worry about that now."
>Do we think the tylenol would help? Does that even work on youkai (although we probably don't know the answer to that)
>"Ok, I'll try."
>Call Keine
>"They do? Did you just try calling her? Or, for that matter, awaken her and THEN call her? You said it would be good for there to be someone there with her when she does, but if you can't get in, couldn't you explain it over the phone afterwards?"
>"Although, that aside, I'm with Orin, now, on my way to Satori's. Would you be able to awaken her? She says she's ready."
>"Hey, sis. Welcome back! How do you feel?"
>Hug her.
>Consider the (im?)possibility of combining both worlds.
> "Traffic Accident? That is just bad sis." Laugh a bit, and hug her.
> "Just to make sure, I take it you remember everything now?"
>"A whole hell of a lot of things happened today, Yamame. I could do the same thing for you, but we don't know where your spider spirit is. And we don't have a lot of time right now."
>"And yeah, I know what you mean about making sense of having lived two lives. I like to think I'm the better for it, though."
> "Keine is dealing with getting Sakuya's memory restored right now."
> "Meanwhile, we need to get Satori and Nitori safe before something bad happens to them."
> "Ok, we got the Subterranean Sun and Hell's Traffic Accident back up and running! Glad to have you back Sis, Orin. Sis, honestly, I actually have one issue with putting back to normal, Mom, Satori. Kanako and Sanae both said that doing this would also make some people, like Satori, suffer. I don't want to force that on her, I want to know what she would want and what she thinks about all this. The only way I can actually do this, is to re-awaken her. You know the cat that followed you and the crow for me, those were our Youkai selves, here is the kicker, Satori's is within a freaking picture at the museum."
>"Sorry, Yamame. This has just been too crazy to keep everyone in the loop. Actually, some people are in a bad state at the moment precisely because they were IN the loop. But all that should be fixed, too."
>"Well, I want to wake up Satori. Everyone that I've fought with today has accused me of being selfish when I wanted to change the world back. They said that I'm ignoring the people who can finally be happy here. Koishi said that Satori was one of the main reasons she did this. She.... called me a traitor, Orin... So I want to know. I want to know what Satori really thinks. I don't want to be a hypocrite."
>"Satori's youkai spirit is in a painting in the art musuem. We need to get it to her, somehow, but I'm not sure how. Apparently the whole place is under security lockdown, and I'm not sure how to get around that."
>You mean Patchouli, of course, but it's not like she could tell them apart anyways.
>"Hmmm.... even if you could slip in there as a cat, do you think you could slip the painting out?"
>"Or... maybe you could just slip into Patchouli's? Tell her what's up? Do you even know her, by the way?"
>derpUnyu.
> "You can still blend into society without being noticed, right? Maybe you can get Satori over here for starters?
> "Meanwhile, I could go over and help Nitori; she's in a tougher situation with the whole foundation on her ass business."
>"Well, then maybe you can head over that way and see if you can help Keine out, then, while I go get Satori."
>Is Keine still on the phone? If so, mention this plan.
>"Thanks. Good luck to you, too!"
>"Sorry to leave you on your lonesome, Yamame, but I need to be going, too. Thanks for not freaking out too much over all this, buddy."
>Head out, and call Keine again
> Once Parsee remembers her relationship with Yuugi, stuff is gonna get weird.
> Hope that shit doesn't hit the fan relationship wise.
>Hope that Keine is just occupied, and not in actual trouble
>Continue towards home, keeping an eye out for any police that may be nearby. Or even possible unmarked police cars near the house
>"Uh, hi there. I hope I'm not too scary looking right now. It's... good to see you again."
>Go up and give her a hug, as long as she doesn't seem too shocked to accept it at the moment
> "Hey Mom, Satori. I'm really sorry to have worried you."
>Sit down
>Take a deep breath
>"Ok, I'll try to cover the bases as quickly as I can. I'm sure this is all kinda overwhelming. I'm not human. And neither is Orin. And you're not supposed to be, either. At least, that's not how you were born. We all lived another life, in another place, and most of us don't remember. But I remember now. And so does Orin. Someone made this Gensokyo, changed us, gave us new lives and made us forget our old ones. When I went looking for evidence of what was wrong about this world... that's when the issue with the research institute happened. They were holding part of my old self there. And now I have it back."
> "The wings? Go for it."
> Move closer to Satori.
>Do so
>"Yes, well, there's some other complications to this..."
>"You see, the people who made this world and sealed all our memories did so because they believed that it would make people happier. I fought two literal gods because they wanted to seal my memories away again. But that was an entire life that I lived. That we all lived, together. But... they said that I was being selfish. That what they'd done was for other people's good, and that I would be hurting others for my own sake, and... I don't want to do that. Koishi was also involved it making this happen. She... called me a traitor."
> "I intend to fix what was changed. But their are a few issues here and their... Some people may actually be happier here then they were back in the real Gensokyo. I know two people very well who might be happier here then back home, as do you..."
> "Do you think it would be right, to fix everything, even if it meant making some people have to suffer again?
> "I met up with Koishi, and she is teamed up with the people who changed the Gensokyo we used to live in, into this island. She thought I was doing all this, trying to put things back to normal, for myself only, without really considering how some people would end up suffering, and called me a traitor for that."
>"She was one of the people who helped make this Gensokyo we're in. I think she had a lot to do with sealing people's memories in the first place. She said... she made this Gensokyo so that you and her could be normal people. That you were suffering in your old life, and that this was done for your two's sake. And that I'd just be hurting you if I tried to change things back...."
>"Well, you see, I accused them of not having the right to take people's lives away without asking them, even if they thought the new life was better. But... I feel like I'd be a hypocrite if I just changed things back without seeing if they were right. All of them talked about what you got out of all this, Satori. I'd like to be able to ask you what you honestly think."
>"We can get your memories back. Restore you to your old self. Would you be willing to let us do that?"
> Wait, Satori names her cats after Symphony of the Night weapons?
>"Yes, I know you have. And yes, I know how bizarre this all sounds. I'm not sure I would have believed it if I hadn't lived it. And it's not like your memories are entirely wrong. You can think of this almost as a second life. But you still lived a long one before this. Orin can vouch for this, too."
>"Is there anything I can do to help? Other than give you a little time?"
>"We all still lived together in our old life, you know: you, Orin, and me. But anyway, you see, I've met someone now who can restore people's memories on an individual basis. I want to be able to ask you, when you can remember both lives you've lived, whether this world really is the one you feel happier in."
>"I want reassurance, from someone who I trusted the most in my both of my lives, that I'm doing the right thing. That is, mom, you."
>"Today I've encountered and fought those who was behind this whole changing the world incident. They thought that I'm doing this for my own, that I'm selfish. Their main argument was that I am putting certain people to suffer in their old life again if I restore the world."
>"You'll understand what I mean when you get back your old memories, because you're one of the 'certain people' they mentioned."
>"So, I'm asking if you are willing to restore your memories and tell me what to do..."
>"Ok. Now, I just need to check if the others have made any progress at getting this done, now."
>Call Keine
>"Ok, so she can't walk out, but could she bring someone in? I'm with Satori at the moment. Oh, and is Orin with you, now?"
>"She flew off to try being of help with getting access to that painting. I... kinda forgot to give her your number before she left. I tried calling you then, but there was no answer."
>Give Keine Orin's cell phone number
>"What do you think would be best? I could probably bring Satori your way, if needed. Although the painting is a smaller thing to transport."
>About how long has it been since the fight with Kanako and Suwako, now?
>"Ok, how about we all meet up at Reimu's then? That's pretty private, and that's where Parsee is, now. Do you know where her shrine is?"
>"Ok, good enough. Call me if you get lost trying to find the place, and I'll see you shortly, I hope."
>Hang up
>"So, are you ok with a little trip across town, now?"
>"They're not."
>Smile at her
>"How would you like to go flying?"
>We are fairly confident in our ability to carry her safely, right?
>Assuming so: "Don't worry. The wings aren't just for show."
>"To the shrine in the forest. There are people there waiting for me, and some others should be meeting up with us there, soon, including Orin."
>Go outside, than take her carefully in our arms, and take off for the shrine
>"Ok, sure. Her name's Parsee, and she's an architecture student at the university. Orin introduced us. They were classmates at one point, apparently. She can be a bit brusk on the outside, but I think she's kinda sweet on the inside. More than she likes to let on. She's been really helpful, and there for me since all this craziness started happening a few day ago. I owe her a lot."
>"Well, she has interesting fashion sense, really striking green eyes. She's passionate about government transparency, and something of an idealist in her way. We've been through so much together these past couple days, and she's never tried to back out of any of it. I don't know that I would have been able to do it without her. It's funny how quickly you can grow close to someone when you go through this kind of stuff together."
> "I hope nothing happened while I was out."
> Rest a bit, then knock on the door.
> "You could say that."
> Walk in with Satori.
> "Anything happen while I was out?"
>"Her name's Satori. In the current Gensokyo, she's my mother. In the original Gensokyo, she's my mistress and I'm her pet, but don't take it the wrong way, she treats me and her other pets like her family. I'm planning to restore her memories as well, she's a person I sincerely believe we can trust."
> "She was the one who took me and Orin in when we were little."
>"Satori. You can think of her as my mother. And yes, there's a reason I brought her here. A lot's happened since I set out, and we may be putting an end to all this, soon."
>"Satori, this is Ace. She's another of the people that's been helping out with all this."
>"What do you mean, 'not a little bit safe'? Any examples?"
>"Well, security is one thing. But that doesn't mean you kill your own employees for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or for just KNOWING the wrong person."
>"Now, we wait for my sister, and someone else important I met to get back here. And then I'm going to fix all this."
>Wait a little while. If we don't hear anything after a bit, call Keine.
> "Well for now we should probably stay put, although we'll probably have to move sometime to avoid the police. Right now I'm trying to get a friend to awaken a couple more people."
>Go and cautiously open the door
>"Great job, Orin! And yes, there's a good explanation for this, too, Satori. We haven't both just decided to become career criminals in our spare time."
>"Where's Keine, anyway?"
>Take the painting and hand it to Satori
>"Here, hold this for a moment, would you?"
>"Are you ok? How do you feel?"
>"Do you remember anything?"
>"Oh, I guess Keine already did her thing, then?">Don't need to say this, Keine didn't do anything. It was just the painting.
>"Oh, I guess Keine already did her thing, then?"
>"Anyway, you know what I want to ask you. If you need to take some time to figure out your own thoughts, please do."
>Don't need to say this, Keine didn't do anything. It was just the painting.
>"Suwako and Kanako also felt that this world was freeing you from old suffering. I wanted to make sure... You know that I wouldn't want to hurt you."
>"Does... does that mean that you'd rather live this life?"
>"Yeah. There's good and bad things about both of these lives. It would have been easier to fight Kanako and Suwako if I could be convinced that they were entirely wrong. I disagree with them acting without anyone's consent, but... this world isn't a horrible place, either, and I'm sure they honestly meant what they said."
>"So, you're ok with going back? You wouldn't rather things stay like this?"
>"If there was a way to bring the world back, and leave you a normal person, too.... would you want that?"
>"Well, if you're prepared to accept it. I just want to be able to do this without so much doubt that I'm doing the right thing, you know?"
>"I'll do the best I can. That's all I've been trying to since this started."
>Wait for Keine
>"Well, she got the job done, anyway. How'd Patchy take it, by the way?"
>"You know, I have to admit that it's strangely comforting to have at least SOMEONE not have a moral dilemma over this."
>"And yes, I think you could say so."
>"So, what do you need to do, before you start?"
>"I was actually going to ask if I could have a moment with her, first, anyway, to be honest. Just give me a minute."
>Go back into the house, and lean down next to Parsee and gently wake her up
>Give her a little kiss on the cheek
>Softly: "Hey, sleepyhead. Sorry to have to wake you up. God knows I want to hit the sack myself, now, but this is important."
>"We're going to fix it. We're going to set everything right, now. Everything they tried to take away from us."
>"You've meant a lot to me through all this madness. I don't think I'd be where I am now if it wasn't for you. So I want you to be able to remember."
>"No, I know. But that's not what I'm talking about. If we were just going to go on like this, I'm sure you wouldn't forget. But the world is like it is because history was changed. And now I've found someone who can change it back. It'll take special effort so that any of us remember any of this. I'll need you with me when it happens."
>"Yes, now. I fought two gods until they were unconscious so they couldn't stop me from doing this. I don't know if we have much more time before they recover, and I'm in no shape for a second round."
>"Haha. Don't worry, I'll give you the whole story in gratuitous detail later."
>Is Ace or anyone else still in the room?
>"Anyway, just come with me for a moment."
>Walk outside
> Head outside with Parsee. Its time we got to doing this.
>"Actually, could we have just a moment's privacy? Ace was still in there. I won't be long, I promise."
>"Parsee, these have been a hell of a few days, and you've really been there for me. I just want to make sure to say again how much I appreciate all that you've done. And you. When we fix history, a lot of things are going to change. Some of them I'm happy about, and some of them I'm sad. There's a lot of things I could regret, but one of the things I find myself feeling the most sad about is the possibility that when we go back, we won't be able to be together like we are now. So, I want to make sure that I can do this at least one more time."
>Kiss her. Make it count
>"Wait, what?"
>"Oh, haha. For a second, I thought you'd already gotten your memories back. It's hard to remember what I have and haven't told people, tonight..."
>"And about not making you wait? That's a promise! Now, let's go see Keine and end this."
>Go back to Keine
>Do as she says, and make sure Parsee does, too
>"Well, that's.... not exactly what I was expecting. I just figured you'd do whatever it is you do and that would be it. But I guess we had to come along with you, so that we could remember it happening?"
>"And... I assume we probably shouldn't touch anything here?"
>Take Parsee's hand
>"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing."
>"About how long do you think it'll take you to do what you need to, Keine?"
>"Well, good luck. To all of us."
>Look up. Do we see anything that we have any idea how to interpret?
>Otherwise, wait patiently
>Are we alone in the room?
>Does our room look more or less like how we left it, the last we remember being here?
>And we still look correct, correct?
>Assuming all of these things are true, head north
>Maybe we won it here, now, too? In some other contest that never took place before?
>Change into something more presentable
>Head north
>Knock on Satori's door
>If we just went north, why is there no exit south?
>Open the door, and poke our head in with a "Hello?"
>Does anything look unusual in the room?
>If not, head off to the next room
>Head east
>Go west
> Quests.
> Inventory.
>Go to the sitting room
> If we still have the pocket watch we should give it back to Sakuya
>"Hey, there. How're you doing?"
>Look at the portraits on the wall. Everything look ordinary?
>Could Satori normally read our mind, or did that not work on animal youkai?
>"Yeah, just feeling a little... edgy, that's all. Everything business as usual around here?"
> "Yeah, I just had a...really weird dream. It was about the outside world, I think, and we were all there, but things were all wrong, and Koishi hated me, and...it was just really weird."
> If all is well, head outside.
> Don't just head outside and leave Satori sitting there, though. Let's make sure she's finished talking to us.
>"Mostly? In what way isn't it?"
>"And, uh... how much do you remember about this dream?"
>"Yeah, it was a nice dream, wasn't it?"
>"No. I don't. But in a way, I suppose it kind of is, now."
>"Random question: where'd I get that General Tor figure in my room from?"
>"Ah, ok. Do you know where Orin is?"
>"Ok, sure. I think I'm going to go out for a walk."
>Head out of the palace
>Head towards the bridge, keeping an eye out for anything unusual or out of place on our way. Or anyone we recognize.
> Really hope things work out between us, Parsee and Yuugi.
>I guess it's like everyone is just waking up, then?
>Continue onward to the bridge
>This must be the first time the Oni haven't been drunk in... well, ever.
>Head towards the house
> Open reaching the house, knock on the door.
> This is Parsee's house right?
>"Parsee? It's Okuu. You ok?"
>Open the door if it's unlocked
>Otherwise, signal for her to unlock the door
>Enter the house
> Enter!
> "Hey Parsee, how are you? Didn't I tell you I'd come visit you :P"
>Take a seat
>"Old times?"
>"Yeah. I did. Should give a little context to my last words, there."
>"The others seem to feel like it was all some strange dream. Satori remembers a little, but only vaguely. Does it just seem like a few moments ago to you, too?"
>"It's quite a thing, isn't it? Having lived two lives?"
>Try tentatively holding her hand, unless she seems uncomfortable with it
>"I don't know what to say. I want to be selfish here. I really do. But, you know...."
>"No. I couldn't, either. I wonder if anyone else has ever been in this kind of situation before? I mean, who can say 'I fell in love with your girlfriend in another life' and really honestly mean it?"
>"Well, she better not want my head tonight, because I'm in no shape to defend it. And I know better than to take her lightly."
>"I... don't know. I want to be with you. I wish it didn't have to be so complicated."
>Are we still feeling exhausted from all of the night's activities, or did the history changing fix that in some way?
>"This has probably been the toughest night of my life. And now it's over, and I'm home. And I'm sure I'm only making both our lives more complicated here, but... I'm not sure I can help myself right now."
>Lean over to kiss her.
>Smile back at her
>"Absolutely!"
>Head back to the Palace of the Earth Spirits
>"Hey, you can freeload off me all you want. It's only fair."
> "Honestly, a little bit after regaining my true self, I remembered that you were really close with Yuugi here and I expected one of her more powerful cards to my face, like Knock Out."
>Don't spoil the mood by bringing Yuugi up again right now. She's a problem for later. We can selfishly pretend to forget about her for the moment.
> "Hey Orin, what's up? Koishi home? Or did something happen?"
> "For now and for now only, if anyone asks, we are friends. That is unless your more then willing to tell the truth to everyone."
> Go follow Orin
> Wonder if Orin had some memory left of the other world
> Follow Orin in.
> "Let's see what ahppened this time."
> "For now and for now only, if anyone asks, we are friends. That is unless your more then willing to tell the truth to everyone."
(I don't know, that kinda sounds like a threat, how bout this)
> "How about we keep whats between us a secret for now, until we're ready to tell Yuugi about us, I mean, she deserves to be the first to know about us"

It's nice participating in something till the end, even if I didn't contribute a lot, I'll try to participate more for the next Z-Machine AdventureI feel the same. :P Most of the time the more obvious actions are posted and I don't really have anything to add, and I also have no idea what to do in battle scenes.
Yay Happy End.
Thanks Purvis Hobotech for yet another awesome Z-Machine Adventure!
>Who was blackmailing Akyu anyways?

> Who was the EX-boss? And what would beating her would have done?

1. While fighting a mecha would have been cool, letting her get to the jet would have been against common sense, also we didn't like her that much at that moment
2. Darn that would have made things so much easier

I actually wish we could go through that fight now V_V

>What were Yumemi and that guard whispering about among themselves the first time we went to the institute?
> Was there a time limit?
>Would it have been possible to meet Keine around the university, earlier? And would that have triggered a similar recognition from Stargazer?
>What would have happened if we'd botched things and just plain lost to Kanako and Suwako?
>So essentially, she might have been another ally, but we still would have had to retrieve our stuff from the institute before she could do anything fancy?
>Wait... if Stargazer wasn't joined to us when we awakened, would Keine actually have been affected at all by us getting our fusion gear back, in this scenario?
> If we proved Kanako and Suwako wrong, would they have been more willing to fix things? Or would one of them be hesitent to fight? if so, who?
> How did you determine how much we would have to hit them to KO them? Did you give them HP and a power for our attacks or something like that?
> Would the EX Boss have been as strong or stronger then Kanako+Suwako or would it have been weaker?
> Why would beating JetSanae convince Kanako and Suwako to knock it off? Wouldn't they be even MORE pissed at us?
>What would have happened if we'd botched things and just plain lost to Kanako and Suwako?
Late from the ending party due to day long travel home.
As always, it was an excellent adventure, though I felt that the last battle and ending was lacking. Now that I know about the Ex Boss, I see why. :V
