Title: Deathsmiles Scoreboard Thread
Post by: Chaotic Phoenixma on July 08, 2010, 05:10:00 PM
More spots will be added as necessary. All valid scores will be accepted. Screenshots are nice, but aren't required if you are on the leaderboards and I can check it. Someone can edit this post to make it neater. I'm just getting it set up.

Rules:

Default Settings

One Credit Only

For runs reaching the final stage, include whether you did Extra, and in MBL modes, include which Extras.

For runs that make it to the 4-2(not MBL) or 5-2(MBL) bosses, specify which boss you ended on. White text for Jitterbug, Yellow text for Tyrannosatan, and Red text for Bloody Jitterbug, just like the game shows it on the leaderboards.

For All runs, also specify whether you did Ex, and in MBL and MBL 1.1 which ones were cleared.

Score Formatting:

Just got an improvement on 1.1. It wasn't that much of one though as my counters going into the final stage were screwed. I might have cleared if I hadn't derped so much on the first set of stages and the canyon.

I entered the final stage with no resources whatsoever so even a collison would end it. Managed to get to Jitterbug's final. Oh, and I picked level 3 on every stage.

Enigma- 2,028,728,121- 4-2 Boss(Ex)- Windia- Version 1.1

What's the point of using the targeting shots? I've been avoiding using it since it drains your counter. :<

Certain enemies give more items when its used. But the problem with it is that it's mapped to the same button as powerup with the exception of the 1.1 modes. In 1.1, there's various ways to way increase the counter depending on character. For Windia in 1.1, lock shot increases the counter, so it's useful there to charge up to 1,000 on a boss for the next stage.

I'm not familiar with all the enemies where it's better to use lock shot on outside of the forest stage.

Ah, so it's sort of like how it's more lucrative to use your unfocused shot on popcorn enemies, while it's more lucrative to use your focused shot on larger ones?

Sapz - 103,886,039 - 4-2 Boss (no EX) - Rosa - 360/Arcade.

Not bad for a day one score, I think. :P Letting crowns burst into skulls in power-up mode helped a lot. I don't use the targetting shot at all, though. :V

I wanna get a 1CC first :X
My current high is somewhere in the 230m range, in Xbox 360 MBL.

Time to update some more. Also, two new scores.

Enigma- 936,569,474- 5-1(Ex Ice Palace)- Sakura-MBL Arcade/360

Enigma- 2,511,298,854- 4-2 Boss(Ex)- Windia- Version 1.1

Edit:

Enigma- 60,230,233,264- 5-2 Boss(Ex ice palace/Canyon)- Sakura-MBL 1.1

Got to Jitterbug with 3 lives. managed to blow it. Accidentally bombed as well, but once I saw what Ex * 2 does to his final, I knew I was fucked.

Just managed to 1cc Version 1.1. Deathsmiles Virtuoso didn't unlock though I picked level 3 for every stage and did Extra.

Enigma- 3,641,078,357- All(Ex)- Windia- Version 1.1

Sapz - 110,164,403 - ALL (no EX) - Rosa - 360/Arcade

Sapz - 1,574,386,507 - 4-1 (EX) - Rosa - 1.1

Only a small improvement for the Arcade score, but this was done with an absolute ton of mistakes using the new and improved route Matsuri told me about, and on top of that I didn't activate death mode. I should be able to add another ten or twenty million on top of this pretty soon once I clean up the run. :3

Man, I really need to get MBL 1.1, it sounds like a ton of fun. How is it?

EDIT: Sapz - 119,310,899 - 4-1 (no EX) - Rosa - 360/Arcade.

Man, I screwed up the Castle stage so bad. :V Had almost 97m after the first six stages. Maybe I should go for EX instead, though I don't know if that'd be easier or harder. Harder Castle, sure, but that's more of an afterthought for if I survive EX at all. :derp:

I would easily trade an unused Japanese 1400 point code I have that i got for Futari Black Label in case it was only downloadable on Japanese accounts for a US point card code. I've had the code since last year but never ended up using it.

Lots and lots of items. Not very shiny though, but lots and lots of items.

Edit: Never mind, apparantly you're in the UK. That doesn't help.

Yeah, oh well. :x I should be able to get one within a week tops, though.

Updated. Also

Enigma- 87,900,453,586- 4-2 Boss(Ice Palace, Canyon)- Windia- MBL 1.1

All 6 of those deaths were so damn stupid for the most part.

We need more MBL 1.1 scores. The mode's a lot of fun.

Improved my MBL 1.1 score. This could have been the highest US score for MBL 1.1, but I had to go and die way too much on the first 6 stages which are way too easy. I would have owned that 130,585,484,992 Sakura score if I hadn't screwed up that much, maybe even beat the TLB, or if not that, then at least got to it.

Enigma- 127,799,960,530- 5-2 Boss(Ice Palace, Canyon)- Windia- MBL 1.1

Finally got a score I'm happy about in some mode so might as well post it here:

Erppo - 136,648,086 - All (no Ex) - Rosa - Arcade/360

I don't think I can improve on that very much without learning some recharge tricks or how to survive death mode.

Updated. Also

Enigma- 150,940,694,145- 5-2 Boss(Ice Palace, Canyon)- Windia- MBL 1.1

Just got done with this particular run. It's the top score for US MBL 1.1.

Too bad I derped up and died on Ice Palace 3 times and died on Canyon twice. Also went against that go for NDNB on Wroon thing and bombed it anyway. Screwed up and got hit so I didn't go my usual intended route. And then I derp jitterbug's first phase so I didn't get the points I could have from it.

Wow, that's really nice score. In case you're interested, that would be place 21 in the Japanese board which is really quite impressive.

I've been working at the MBL modes myself. Not anything worth posting here yet, but maybe in a couple of days.

EDIT: And here's something for MBL. Did really well until the castle where I got too nervous and managed to die 4 times without even getting to the boss. Anyway, I just barely broke one billion, so I guess it's worth posting:

Erppo - 1,007,605,860 - 5-1(Ice Palace) - Sakura - MBL

EDIT2: After many tries I still haven't been able to beat this score, even though I feel I should be able to do it. I'll just post it here and hope that posting it will make me break it on my next attempt:

Erppo - 94,373,280,442 - 5-2 Boss(Ice Palace) - Windia - MBL 1.1
