Sup everyone ^_^ I extend a large MotK invite to our Hamachi game room for SWR and PoFV. If you have Hamachi downloaded and want to play some games with fellow MotK members head over to some of these rooms. My name is Xokijor at hamachi. The name i use for generally anythin i do online gaming wise is Xokijor.
For SWR specific players the rooms are:
(Host: Kojiro) SteelofScarlet. The pass is myonmyon
(Host: Gnomazo) Gnomazo SWR. The pass is 123
For PoFV specific players the rooms are:
(Host: Kojiro) MoundoftheNameless. The pass is spiderlily
(Host: Gnomazo) Touhou 09. The pass is 123
For Soku specific players the rooms are:
(Host: Kojiro) GiantCatfish the pass is china
(Host: Kojiro) IcicleFallEasy the pass is cirno
(Host: Hanzo) Komeiji MK-II the pass is Tuna
(Host: Sercan) Cirno09 the pass is 1234
If a room is full try another one...If all rooms are full then make a new one yourself and post it here and I'll add it to the list on this OP.
Or hosts of other rooms can evict people who haven't been active or something i dunno.
Of course you can be in any room and play any game while there. The rooms are just your preferred choice for what game you want to play. But you won't be able to chat with your partner on hamachi unless your in the same room.
For PoFV we'll use the IP's from hamachi and the adonis program which you can get here (http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Phantasmagoria_of_Flower_View:_Netplay). If you have the english patch then you'll get an english adonis along with an english beta test patch for the game found here (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=582.0)^_^
Only join if you actually intend to play okay? haha don't want a bunch of people who aren't gonna even play and bother everyone.
Also use this thread for any discussions you have to say about the game in general.
If you don't know how to connect via komachi....hamachi send a message there and we'll help you out.

Just a note to everyone.
In case anyone isn't aware, even if your not part of one of the rooms as long as you exchange IPs and the port you can still connect and play. Heck if you wanted to you don't have to join ANY network rooms at all. All you would need is the IP and have hamachi active
And people in the SWR room can play PoFV and vice versa. however you wont' be able to TALK to anyone unless your in the same room with them haha.

Just ask this out of curiosity:
How many people in the room use joysticks/gamepads for playing SWR?
For me , I use a Logitech Precision Gamepad for all Touhou games including SWR.

I use a Dragon PS2 to PC converter that i bought on ebay for all my computer games like Touhou, Melty Blood and other Doujins.
Its a USB on one end that you put into the computer and has 2 PS2 controller insert ports and bam it reads. No installation or anything. Its a Plug and Play device ^_^ Really handy I bought 2 of em. For anyone in general who wants one just search ebay for em if you got PS2 controllers.

So yeah that's what i use for everything. haha.
I used to buy generic PS2 looking controllers there had a USB at the end of them for like 10 bucks but they constantly broke on me -_-...it was then that i realized how OFTEN fighting games used the Down arrow XD hahha. that button broke on me when i was playing Melty Blood and tha't a fast game so i hammered those cheap controllers...poor things.

Well I noticed that in SWR I receive some input lag on my laptop. On the other games I have no lag whatsoever.
So I was getting owned hard against Cyclone when I could've easily blocked >.<

haha well that sucks. I had some lag input at first with cyclone and tohsaka but it seems fine now. ^_^ I never really had any problems with hamachi but it seems that people don't like it based on what the SWR wiki said. Sad. its so easy to use though haha

It's mostly because in Hamachi it's more likely to lag in-game then direct connection.

Good games guys ^_^ In total we have 12 people playing and we're having a blast. At least i am haha. Everyone i fought was really hard to beat in some way with some character. Cyclone's Yuyuko is hard to approach. Gpop dam dood your Suika is a bitch and a half man haha XD. Who was i? komachi. I had no chance at all XD ahhaha. Nemo your Patchy is very calculating and hard to shoot danmaku against since....its Patchy the best danmakuer in the game haha Dear God.
I was REALLY excited to play against you Gpop since our Reimu's were so similar. I have 2 styles of playing her: Lunatic Miko (the way you and i Both seem to play her) and Lazy Miko. (didn't play that style at all) Next time we play i'ma try that out instead ahha. Oh, I TOTALLY forgot how to play Remilia when the match started XD haha. i was shaky from the start. But i KNEW if i Guard Crushed your spirit i'd win XD at the tail end of that match that's what i thought and did and swarmed you with bats haha. was incredible XD. I loled a lot when i was Yukari. XD i think you didn't like her at all haha. My Yukari is ment ot harass/intimidate with certain moves and confuse....i guess it worked ^_^
To everyone we have all of ya are really good and i look forward to winning and losing against you guys We'll have a blast haha. Someday over the summer maybe we'll have a little tourny amongst ourselves for the heck of it? haha. laterz.
My mains are: *in order* Reimu, Yukari, Remilia and Sakuya.
I'm trying to add Suika to that mix too but still workin on it.
My worst are Iku, Alice, and MAYBE Youmu...the first 2 for sure tho.

Also, Suika is fun to control for me. I can spam her projectiles a lot and get hits. But I'm happy that I managed to pull off that grab like all other matches I had against other players. (nemo was lucky this time)

Well, it's not I can't use melee attacks, Patchy is NEVER famous for melee attacks...
Whatever, If I want to beat Gpop I need to pick up my Tenshi.

Two IDs: Rin Satsuki for the Skill type, spamming danmaku
Darth Spark for the SITH type, spamming spell cards (ALL of the character's decks consist of 18 Spell cards + 2 Card Recover)

Well if anyone has adonis we'll use the room for both SWR and PoFV now ^_^ Nemo and I played a few rounds of PoFV and it works great. There was hardly ANY lag whatsoever. there was a little bit but it was very stable throughout the games we played ^_^ so enjoy all the games mates! As usual i'll be hanging on hamachi myself if i'm on my computer so i'll be available most of the time for a game. hehe

Well, For people playing PoFV and use quick characters such like Cirno or Aya, this is my advice:
Pick up a slower character. This is important.

A 2nd room should work just fine. We have hamachi set up for osu! people and have two separate rooms for it and it works just fine. I dunno how the other program works though.

well adonis works exactly like SWR's in game connector. someone can host, connect to the host, or watch.
really simple stuff (IP and port) then when it connects it starts the game up for you.

Well you use the IP from Hamachi and you open a port(we prefer port 10800 or 07500 but mostly the first one) and adonis will open the game up itself and we'll be at the difficulty screen. its that simple ^_^
there are a few kinks that'll hinder us like
1: For Vista users the adonis readme says.

You'll probably have to run the th09.exe in compatibility mode ( Windows 98 / Windows Me)
Right click th09.exe > properties > Compatibility tab > and pick from there.
I'm running vista and every time adonis connected for me and nemo it crashed. pfft THAT was why and that fixed it
2: Not being able to select anything.
SUPER IMPORTANT!
Run game and go to options > key config and change CONTROL TYPE to FULL - SIDE 1P
When i played with Heresy he couldn't select a character. pfft THAT was why and that fixed that too.
3: Just make sure your firewalls aren't blocking hamachi/adonis/th09e.exe and all hahaha (and make sure your updated your game as well)
Just be sure those 3 are out the way and if you got hamachi and connect to the room everything is smooooooooth sailing

I was a bit rusty too. I played PoFV last time 3 months ago... I often got a hit very early by a random bullet. Good thing that it wasnt a sudden-death match.
I'm still not sure how I survived your Komachi coin spam, mostly luck I guess. That stuff was really nasty ;D

yeah i really can't stand komachi's coin spam.
i'm glad kojiro doesn't post replays of me. the way i flew straight into his sakuya's cross-screen knife throws were humiliating. i'm blind to them.
i still can't decide between focusing on marisa or youmu. i really like youmu's 1 charge attacks, but her charging time is too long, and her focus area is >: |. marisa however is too damn fast in pofv

lol why do i have to practice when YOUR the one who hasn't played in half a year? I did just fine man. I won nearly all my matches. haha I'm confident in my abilities as they are. maybe your watching the wrong screen or something haha. but i'm doin just fine.

anyway if your a member of one room then you don't HAVE to join the other one if you want. As ong as your in hamachi period you can link with anyone to play any game. But unless your looking for someone in the other room and to let others know you're willing to play is another thing. They can't see you if your in one room and not in the other. Especially the players who are in only one room.
Just letting everyone know so that the same people don't take up all the space in the second room since the max is 16 per room

And yeah i'm not gonna post any replays if you guys aren't confident in your abilities yet or anything. That's no good. Besides i dont' know how to post vids on Youtube anyway haha. I do fine if i'm in fullscreen. Otherwise it gets hard to see the snowballs (tiny bullets) and dodge haha. So if i'm playhing a game with anyone and you wanna talk about hte match right after the game don't hesitate to leave the game and send a message about it. I don't mind at all.

Right, I'd totally join, but it seems adonis does not like WINE very much. Plus PoFV keeps freezing on me when it loads Stage 2. I've got some tinkering to do.

Found it out and played some games with Kojiro. And YEAH! It's just working great.

they were bound to be full a little after i started the threads afterall. but then i started making more rooms. it was originally just a SWR room but since the english patch of PoFV i made 2 rooms for both.

I thought of that too...but i dunno if everyone has IRC. I didn't have it until a little while ago myself. I'm still pretty new at the thing so if someone makes a room on there I'll post it up on this thread's first post and people can migrate there if they so choose.

Sorry if there aren't many games there though. Not everyone wants to play all the time ya know? Cyclone is normally on but not really there hehe. Nemo has really bad connections where she is at the moment. I miss bein able to play with her lately to be honest. I'd imagine that a lot of people have hamachi start up automatically when they turn on their computers ya know? But not really wanting to play at the moment. I mean if i get on hamachi then i'm willing to play so that's a little helpful if anyone wants it. so just ask others and don't be shy about it. just leave a message and see if they reply back interested in a game or not. Not much else can be done there i suppose.

Well, getting an IRC client is pretty easy. I use Hydra IRC (http://www.hydrairc.com/), although there are probably better clients out there.
But I definitely would second having some sort of meeting room.

hi, i doubt i should be asking for help in this topic but im new to the forums and to hamachi, could someone explain how it works/play with me a bit so i can get used to it?
only problem left is latency. I played someone from brazil and man, my keys took a fraction of a second to register. not cool
>.< im from brazil and im really worried about the lag, but in the past someone said to me that hamachi didnt have any lag? if its unplayable i'll be sad for the rest of my life because i wont be able to play against other people (none of my friends play touhou)

it's not unplayable, though such a high latency (perhaps averaging 200ms or more, taking GGPO as reference, compared to 50ms when playing with nearby opponents) degrades the playing experience for both sides.. (fortunately for you, in a sense, I'm the person he played with/against, nice to meet you :p)

lol :D nice to meet you too. 200 ms in SWR shouldnt matter TOO much, but in pofv it must be the end :/ its my favorite game by far, i had some input lag in the other touhous until recently and it was terrible to play.

What's the required Ping to be able to play without a lot of lags? I think I get absolutely GIGANTIC Ping with everybody, like in the 1500-2000 ms range, but that's probably because my sister is eating all the network's ressources at the moment.

Double post i guess but its been a while since last anything happened here.
Well I updated the rooms as they are now. And I wanted to say that I'm home for Thanksgiving break. Till sunday. If anyone wants a game let me know ^_^
I'm gonna be working on school work still though. I've a few reports due soon so I won't be able to play for too long...but at least while i'm at home i can play at all! can't play online at school since the game is blocked haha.

But I'm getting better, and I've even discovered a combo for Remi that most probably wouldn't think to use, much less notice.

We couldn't get Gpop's to connect nor connect to him.
We all have the same version. 1.10 English. we all expanded our games so we have 20 characters total. And none of our firewalls are blocking hamachi nor the 123e.exe ....i've no idea why it won't work man ._.

One friend always wants to spectate, but she can't.
But she's unable to play 12.3 for a little while right now.
She was really good too........an absolute beast with Komachi and Tenshi.
When she used them, nobody could win. :smug:
Me and Ol' Mikey here were tied for second best in our little hamachi room.

been trying to get pOFV Netplay to work though, with no luck.
It freezes right on the difficulty select part.

Actually, I've had the same problem with PoFV. Although for me I think it's my firewall. Should go figure out how to disable it for that particular game.
Also, Ran was beastly, it's too bad she can't get 12.3 to work anymore.
Once you can though, we should do a couple matches, we had plenty of fun out there, since we didn't have to struggle against each other in order not to fail horribly.

So far there's only Ol' Mikey and myself, I hope that more come though.
I can't wait for Ran(an offsite associate, even though she's got an account here too.) to be able to play 12.3 again, she's pretty damn good.
And there's someone else who's probably not a member here yet, but me, Mikey, and Ran have been training her for an upcoming tournament in her area.
She's progressed quite far in the ridiculously short time that she's started, she started training only just yesterday.

Btw, how do you set Hamachi to allow direct tunneling? right now, everyone including local contacts are relayed tunneling.
