Which one isn't the result of a hack? You decide.

Hint:
I play this game on my GBA SP, the cart I used for the ROM have Save/Load States and minimum access to do some sort of GameSpark e.g getting mons from Battle Factory free by using some cheat, that's NOT considered hacking.

I don't understand, nor do I get the point.

Nobody.  That's a shedinja, and it can't be in a luxury ball - therefore, it's hacked.

In other games, Shedinja copies the ball that Nincada was in.
Other games being anything but Generation 4.

Why do you watermark your images anyway? It's neat and all, I just thought only porn sites and government treasuries used watermarks these days.

Her team isn't very balanced. A good electric type and fighting type would decimate that entire team.

Blissey can't learn these moves luckily.

Just hope the enemy Skarmory doesn't have Roar/Whirlwind.

That's how skarmbliss works.
They just set up a load of crap, then switch the opponent fuck out all the time while you get slowraped by Spikes/Stealth Rock combined with Sandstorm or whatever, effectively making you RAGE for wasting 20 minutes on a lost battle(every cool kid does that on Netbattle). And if a charizard or w/e pops up, you switch to Blissey GARCHOMP actually Blissey if there is no physical threat SCREW THAT, I HAVE FIFTY MILLION HP, I CAN TAKE EVERYTHING while I Thunder Wave your ENTIRE GODDAMN TEAM TO PISS YOU OFF because I CAN HEAL FUCKING EVERYONE'S STATUS IN ONE TURN

Or are most of the wifi battles no-switch? All I remember from pokemans is that it was a huge switchfest.

seriously, why even have 500+ pokemans when only 20 of these are used.

....wow, I'm a huge pokefag.

Because there's like 5 different tiers of play with ~50-100 usable pokemon in each (bar ubers, which are effectively "banned tier").

Before I stopped playing I was doing a trick that guarantees a shiny Pokemon to hatch from an egg without the need of action replay. One of my shinies ended up being a Treecko with all of the IV points either 30 or 31 and it's Hidden Power is water. My other shinies got poor IV points.

I had a lot of friends who I played 4th Gen Pokemon with, we all were pretty into it when D/P came out. I had my team with good IVs/EVtrained, good natures, and everything. I think the team I was trying to make was Garchomp, Tyranataur, Porygon-Z, Milotic, and two others I can't think of right now.

Really, every team I have seen has either a Salamence, Tyranitar or an Garchomp.

Of course, I am not counting those noobs who use ubers.

I love how the first 2 gyms and the second rival completely shit on my team.

Gliscor used taunt! You can't set up Nasty Plot on me anymore!
Choice set? Switch to Scizor and you're locked on a single move.

Well Explosion is always going to be my last resort on A pokemon and I never play on Wi-Fi and I doubt i'll ever see A team of 6 Rotoms.

Most likely you'll launch ice beam on Gliscor. Scizor can switch in and threaten you with bullet punch.

It doesn't affect foe Rotom/Dusknoir...
Steelix/Metagross/Hippodown: Even with metagross explosion, it doesn't KO
Anything with protect/sub: Deals with your explosion

Actually, exploding teams don't work at all. The moves are nice, but they're better off on a single pokemon, or if you need to clear a particular pokemon quickly on your opponent's team.

Well then I guess the only reason it worked for me was due to the fact I rarely if ever fought those Pokemon.

Guess i'll go check if I still have my Porgon-Z and other Pokemon in Pearl now.

Quote from: Copypasta
Okay, so my girlfriend was supposed to come over to my house today because I was going to go take her to a movie. She lives about 20 minutes away, and the movie we were supposed to see started at 4:15, which was in about 40 minutes. I figured "cool, I'll just play Pokemon while I wait".

So I'm playing Pokemon, and having a pretty damn good time. Anyway, she finally does show up, except she's crying as she walks into my room. Instead of doing the right thing by comforting her, I half-focus on my game and her. She starts telling me her cat died, and just as she was getting into it, I get into a random encounter in my game.

A shiny pidgey. Holy shit. (For those of you who don't know/care, shiny Pokemon have less than a 1/1,000 chance of appearing; 1/8192 to be exact.). I stare into my screen in amazement, yelling "holy shit, YES", interrupting her mid-story. She sobs more, and she starts to yell "You don't even fucking care! YOU JUST WANT TO PLAY YOUR FUCKING GAME!" I'm still looking at my screen, still focusing on catching my shiny Pidgey, when she walks over, and tosses the game against the wall. I run over and pick up my DS hoping that nothing has changed on screen, and quickly noticed that she broke it. My system and my shiny Pidgey, gone forever.

I start screaming every obscenity I know, and started flailing my arms around. I didn't know she was behind me, and apparently I backhanded her in the face while I was being a dumbass and swinging my fists around. She yells out "FUCK YOU", and runs out of my house in tears.

tl;dr: make it shiny

Someone in GameFAQs made a challenge that is someone beats him, he gives the winner any shiny. He had a team full of shiny ubers with max IV and EV. I was the first one to challenge him and I beat him with my team with only 1 uber. I got lucky at the end, his last 2 were Mewtwo and Arceus(Dragon) and my last 2 were Glaceon and Dialga. His Mewtwo used me first and copied Dialga's Roar of Time but the target is chosen randomly so it attacked Glaceon. It survived with less than 5% health. My Glaceon then uses Ice Beam on Arceus and freezes it and Dialga uses Roar of Time on Mewtwo. Then Mewtwo can't attack because of Roar of Time and I finish it of with Ice Beam and his Arceus is still frozen so I finish him of next turn. He then gave me his shiny Arceus.

No I don't because I rarely if ever get to battle anyone. After I beat the game I just began hacking whatever Pokemon I felt like making. One time I gave A Regigigas an Ability other than Slow Start.

I guess I'll go dig up my Action Replay and play around with it again.

God, I hated Ninjasks ever since it broke my streak in the Battle Tower because I didn't have an attack that can kill it. Ever since then, I have 1 or 2 Pokemon that can kill it when I'm in the Battle Tower.

I love videos like that.

Never ran into a rattata like that, though... Then again, I use the stealth rock strategy, so I don't think it would work on my team since attacks on it would no longer be 1-hit kills (my opener is pretty much there purely to get the rocks out and that's it... It can attack, but it usually doesn't last long once the rocks are out).

When HG and SS come out in Europe I am going to make a sandstorm based team for the lulz made entirely out of rock, ground and steel pokemon.

It will feature my T-tar (which is my signature pokemon along with Cradily) as my attacker.
My Cradily as my staller
a Hippowdon for defense
a Regirock for bulk and awesomeness
But now I am searching for an special attacker and a lead or a special defense one, and you my friends may choose them.

Yeah and I only one a Single Battle so far... (But that one battle was weird because I only won with a single Pokemon)

Guess its time for me to remake my all exploding team for this and try it out.

I love how people challenge your single battle based team to double matches with exploder/general double teams made up for that thinking they are hardcore.

And Water Spout Kyogre can fuck off.

Anyways the Shrinemaiden sandstorm team has been established:

-Regirock
-Skarmory
-Cradily
-hippowdon

Now I think it is a good idea to make some good movesets for these pokemons~

Kyogre as Thunder Wave lead
Kyogre -> rain + Kingdra = awesome
Ninjask pass Speed Boosts + possible Swords Dance to Octillery w/ Suction Cups, beatdown
Ninjask pass Speed Boosts + possible Swords Dance to Kingdra, don't need to spam DDance
Ambipom is plain awesome (Technician+Fake Out, Double Hit, etc)
And Azelf could do like fifty different things. Probably Dual Screen, Stealth Rock and Explode.

Of course the limited letters made it hard to do anything with at all jeez

Not as much waste of a time as someone who actually used his AR Encounter code in Diamond to catch all 500+ Pokemon at the time (yes, multiple forms excluding male/female differences) and place them in numerical order in his PC while also looking for gender and characteristic that he likes for each one of them.

This is how I wasted summer 1 year ago. :V

NO RSE, DP ONLY! AND YOU MUST PLAY DP!

Quote
Technician

When this Pok?mon uses a move that has 60 Base Power or less, damage is increased by 50%. STAB and effectiveness modifiers are not counted when deciding whether the ability activates. If a move has variable base power and would have 60 Base Power or less when used (Avalanche, Hidden Power, Natural Gift, Payback, Pursuit, and Revenge), it is also boosted by 50%.
Title: Re: Pok?mon Trainer Discussion League: Yellow (is a Boy) Version
Post by: Drake on October 29, 2009, 03:33:50 AM
Technician makes any move with a base power 60 or less increase by 50% in power.
Bullet Punch + Scizor + Choice Band = 40(Power)*1.5(STAB)*1.5(Tech) + 130 base Attack*1.5 (Choice) = death

Shuckle can't toxic steel types or those who have Poison Heal. Therefore, that set really sucks. It's better for shuckle to have a more supportive set for disrupting the opponent like encore and knock off.

I just realized, if a Smeargle uses Power Trick and then Belly Drum and then Baton Passes to Shuckle, it gets over 2000 attack. Even higher than what Attack-Deoxys can get. Have Trick Room in effect and Shuckle will always attack first.

That's quite a lot of crap to go through without the aid of a special condition on the opponent considering how fragile Smeargle is. :V

Also, Shuckle's Defenses will be virtually nonexistent, and coupled with its very low HP, priority moves will destroy it in a second.

Scizor used Bullet Punch!

"Finish it off with false swipe!"

That's quite a lot of crap to go through without the aid of a special condition on the opponent considering how fragile Smeargle is. :V

Also, Shuckle's Defenses will be virtually nonexistent, and coupled with its very low HP, priority moves will destroy it in a second.
This is why every Smeargle in existence has Spore. Generally you wouldn't start off with this tactic, so hopefully you get rid of most pokes with priority moves.

Although going through all that trouble to buff Shuckle is pretty stupid if something else will OHKO everything without the Tricks.

Still waiting for a second Leaf Stone.
Will trainers call me even when I'm standing still?
Got everyone else deleted except for that leaf stone girl.

NO
I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR BULBASAUR AND HOW YOU CAN'T CATCH A FUCKING DROWZEE

I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT YOUR SHITTY LV9 HOPPIPS AND HOW YOU ARE IN SYNC WITH EACH OTHER
I WANT A LEAF STONE

Machamp/Rotom used Sleep Talk!

Bringing Spore out on a pokemon with a possible Sleep Talk without having already figured out it's moveset is really stupid.

The thing is they'll switch into your smeargle.

If you switch out, Machamp gets a free dynamicpunch in to confuse your next pokemon, and Rotom uses will-o-wisp.

IMO the best way the use smeargle is a lead endeavor set or after everything that can counter smeargle has been dealt with.

Could someone please explain to me whats so good about Rotom and its other forms?
Title: Re: Pok?mon Trainer Discussion League: Yellow (is a Boy) Version

Rotom is probably the best spin blocker, has extremely defensive typing, ability and stats, and with the extra formes it gives it an extra niche to nail some specific pokemon down. (Leaf storm for swampert, overheat for scizor)

Rotom-H is the best counter for Scizor as it resists bullet punch, and threatens to hit first hard with overheat.

Upon switching Rotom into any unprepared attacker, it'll force the opposing party to switch out, therefore allowing you to scout more of the opponent's team.

Alright I guess i'll try some of them out if I decide to play on Shoddy sometime today.

EDIT: Actually I may make a team out of my name Like Zengar did.

EDIT2: Should I use Registeel, Rypherior or another Rotom form for the other R?

A little question for you guys:
Like we all know paralysing an opponent halves their speed and burning them halves their attack, so what if Nintendo decided to make poisoning an opponent half their defence and/or special defence.
If they did so how do you guys think this would affect the metagame?

That would upset the metagame a great deal. People normally use toxic and toxic spikes enough already.

The only pokes that would be in the game would be steel types.
It was just a question I saw on antoher forum.

YEAH
spent my lunch break beating E4.

I have no freaking idea how can a lv46 Meganium outspeed a lv47 Houndoom(no quick claw), but beating E4 with 3 grass pokes at 44-46 isn't a bad thing. Actually only 2, since Weepinbell sucks. Hard. :V

I'm pretty sure you can sweep the AI if you have sleep powder already. Sleep + Stat boosting items.

I'm avoiding the stat boosting items as they are too cheap IMO.
Still, sleep powder Exeggutor managed to sweep Aerodactyl and Charizard on his own :V

necroposting yay

Anyways, Grass mono completed.
The only problem was Red's Charizard, as I've had to go through 50 revives before he ran out of Wing Attacks and Flamethrowers.

Finished with a lv56 Meganium and a lv55 Exeggutor. Not bad, considering I've played it on a GBA.
Weepinbell was useless, I've left the game on for hours and the second leaf stone never came.
