Title: something really bothers me

When playing Imperishable Night, a lot of the times the text skips over really fast. How can I turn this on and off?

You increase your reading speed. And stop pressing ctrl.

If you're REALLY desperate, you can press alt to freeze the game. Then press alt to unfreeze it. Unless you're really sad and try using it to cheat (which is probably harder to do than playing for real), that's probably that feature's only useful function.

No, I'm reading fast enough, I'm saying conversations start and end in a fraction of a second. I wasn't clicking ctrl all the times it happened, unless it was by accident. (but I cant see how it could be by accident, this has happens to me almost every time)

get a keyboard where the ctrl button isn't stuck cuz you spilled coke on it?

Turbo-text should only happen if you hold down the skip key.

Alternatively, stop watching the replays.

Also, even if the player DID read the text, the game automatically speeds up those parts when watching a replay (at least in PCB, others I don't know), so it goes too fast to be readable.

He's not joking. Sometimes there are texts that scroll without a button press. They generally happen when a boss is entering the screen to position herself. This happens to me in MoF, making the second text box of the first boss make less sense than it should.

^It might be that, but I don't think so since when I first got the game it NEVER happened, it's probably just my ctrl key going bad =/ oh well.
