Ah my mistake for not being specific enough. I meant as Byakuren I couldn't just give one of my allies a spell card if they're across the map. They have to be in the same area for me to hand them one.Ah no that is possible. You can give a generated spell card to any character across the map. (was same in old version)
◇ Regular attacks need dice roll, spell cards have 100% rate. Examples: 1d3 (33%) > 3 = fail. 1d4 (25%) > 4 = fail. 1d6 > 6 = fail. So, 1d3 means there is a 33% chance to... what? "1d3 > 3 = fail" means there can be no fails: whatever random number you get cannot be greater than 3. Do you mean it fails when a 3 is rolled? That'd make it a 33% chance to fail, compliant with the stated percentage. But then what chance does my Palanquin smash have to proc? 95%? That doesn't seem right either. And don't get me started on the critical hits. Presumable they don't always proc - there'd be no point to crits then - but if the x states by how much the base damage is multiplied, how exactly is it determined that I landed a crit at all? Same as above?
◇ Other success rates are usually the "middle". Example: Minamitsu's Shining Palanquin smash. 1d20 to K.O > 10 becomes "success" unless stated otherwise.
◇ Critical hit, if available, is decided by xd6 where x = doubles/triples/etc. Critical increases base power, not final damage.
Just to double check, can I unsummon Unzan and move in the same turn?
From what I can understand, the ">" is meant to be an arrow and not the "greater than" sign so you're right about the 33% chance to fail.
Palanquin smash's 1d20 seems to mean that only a 10 will get the insta-kill to normal enemies.
And I think the crit chance is based on what move you do and if it has the chance or not, like how Kogasa's "spin-to-win" has a 3d6 crit chance.
I still don't know about the crit damage though ???
Of course, if I'm wrong about this stuff just correct me. :derp:
Was re-readingFixed.out of boredomand realized Kogasa and Nazrin's HP stats were flipped on the Overview table.
Immediate, compulsory and possibly inaccurate nitpickery:Fixed.
-Nue has a 75% percentage next to her in the spreadsheet, which I believe should be 100%.
-Above all else: that is not how you spell my name. Grumble grumble. *swings cane*
Somewhat less obnoxiously, I need some clarification on the hit chance/success rate business. To quote the relevant sections:So, 1d3 means there is a 33% chance to... Presumable they don't always proc - there'd be no point to crits then - but if the x states by how much the base damage is multiplied, how exactly is it determined that I landed a crit at all? Same as above?
I might be a bit dense. Halp.
From what I can understand, the ">" is meant to be an arrow and not the "greater than" sign so you're right about the 33% chance to fail. Here is how I handled it in SDM version:
Palanquin smash's 1d20 seems to mean that only a 10 will get the insta-kill to normal enemies.
And I think the crit chance is based on what move you do and if it has the chance or not, like how Kogasa's "spin-to-win" has a 3d6 crit chance.

Just to double check, can I unsummon Unzan and move in the same turn?Unfortunately you cannot. A minor action comes before major action.
Does Unidentified use all the effects?- Nue's supreme ability you need to pick 1 of the 3.
What does range mean, can I attack enemies that are not in the same room as me?
[09:08:34] <Helepolis> dice 2d6
[09:08:37] <Keine-tan> 3 and 1
[09:08:41] <Helepolis> dice 1d6
[09:08:43] <Keine-tan> 4Clarification on that by the way, how long do the enemies pulled in by Murasa stay focused on her?Good question: Only the specific turn and they will purely focus her. Enemy cannot move/run away or use abilities. So they will just attack Minamitsu.Till death do us part?
Ah, that makes sense now.
Also just realized Kyouko's OHAIYOUGOZAIMASU's team potential seeing as it knocks ALL enemies to the front gate. Then we could just use some AoE skills and not have worry about the statues for a turn or two. Also great to get the pressure off if we were being overrun by enemies at the end of a day.
Speaking of pressure removers, Murasa also seems to have great tanking abilities with getting the enemies to focus on her. Especially good if I just keep healing Murasa.
Clarification on that by the way, how long do the enemies pulled in by Murasa stay focused on her?Till death do us part?
If we get some sutra scrolls then Tsurubami and I will generate more faith which means I can distribute more sooner.Good question. Yes, you can. Other enemies will also attack it as charmed enemies are traitors in their eyes!
Also enemystandsauras???
Another question, can we still attack charmed enemies?

A sudden explosion and the entire temple shook.

Ichirin > "UNZAN!"
Shou > "We're being attacked!? Must be those Taoist bastards again!"
Nazrin > "Calm down master, we don't know even what happened"
Byakuren > "Hmm, this isn't an assault from them. Something else is going on"
Nue > "So? Who cares, can we go home now?"
Kogasa > "Kyouko-chan I am scared"
Kyouko > "Don't be scared! Don't be scared!"
Byakuren > "For the time being, let us proceed with caution. I have a bad feeling about this. "
> It is now Day 1 turn 1 (reported as Day 1-1)
> Map and overview is updatedHmm. Red arrows, blue arrow. Okeydoke.
Assuming both signify some kind of enemy influx, I'd probably want to move over to the entrance.Takes care of the gate arrow. The garden left arrow will either go there as well or walk over to the back, which'd be inconvenient, but there'd be plenty of time for someone to go over there. That leaves the kitchen to receive immediate attention. (contingent, of course, upon my shaky interpretation of the arrows)
Or it could be from all directions, as Hele just posted. Then we just need to cover the three avenues for now. Me + Kogasa (who looks like a reasonable brawler) should be able to cover the entrance just fine.
Sutra purchases should probably be done by anyone who stays in the main room for now, so they have some time to hand them over to Byakuren. Which begs the question: can major actions be substituted for minor ones, e.g. buying a scroll and immediately giving it?
For now I'll go ahead and ##Move Entrance. I'll be here for at least another hour, and I'll be able to adjust until the very end of the turn. At long last, my timezone lines up with the game! Glorious.
What about me? I seem to have moderate defense, but pretty high strength (brooms hit hard). So I might make a good brawler? Idk, I'll leave it up to you guys.Yeah, your base stats seem pretty solid. But so are mine (I'd wager I'll be nigh indestructible at the start of the game), and I'm thinking we best spread the stats around as long as we don't know where the enemies are coming from.
Also, it might be easier for Byakuren to just buy the scrolls directly.
Yeah, your base stats seem pretty solid. But so are mine (I'd wager I'll be nigh indestructible at the start of the game), and I'm thinking we best spread the stats around as long as we don't know where the enemies are coming from.
As Kogasa has slightly worse base stats, I'd say she gains the preference to go along with me, so you can shore up another moderately-statted character.
Can a purchase action buy multiple items at once? I don't -think- so, which is why I'd say to have multiple people buy a scroll. If Byakuren buys one every turn, we'd lose out on some faith. (Of course, if you can buy multiple, we shouldn't bother with the whole song-and-dance)
I actually might need backup if I lose the pagoda so we can get money. If that's the plan, I'll still move to the Kitchen, but I shouldn't go alone, my DEF is crap without the pagoda. So I'll resubmit my move as follows:
##Move Kitchen
##SC Lose Pagoda
I'm sadly going to probably get dragged into doing stuff tonight, but I'll keep tabs to make sure if I need to do anything else. Also, if I'm losing the pagoda, make sure you pick it up so we can get that bonus money, FlamingRok. :V

...Oh wow I'm blind as a bat. Huuuuurrrrrrrrrrrr.
I think I might go out and use Vajra of Buddhism, then to soften up the enemies (whilst literally taking no damage because my six defense can easily tank everything), then Kyouko can come out and help wipe the rest out.
##Move Back Left
##SC Vajra of Buddhism
And if you want me to buy another scroll I can do so before I use the SpellCard.
Erotic Nue → Nue becomes charming and deadly. Select 3 targets, Nue cannot be attacked by those targets and next turn automatically does a critical blow to seduced enemies. [Power 4 + 3d6 crit]So plainly, the enemies shouldn't be attacking Nue, but nothing's said about attacking other characters! Indeed, that was the entire point of PX's attack: to get Kogasa attacked and thus trigger her AoE. This is a pretty significant deviation.
As I said on my post on the last page, should I use my Guerrilla Typhoon? I definitely have the resources needed for it.NO YOU DON'T; YOU NEED MORE VESPENE GAS
Should I go down and support the guys fighting the boss, or stay up here and finish these baddies off?
##Take it easy
Are we able to use medkits on ourselves, since we're our own allies?I'm also wondering this for my "Caring" SpellCard.
I guess I'll just hold this position for now, since I can't unsummon Unzan and move south in the same turn.

Are we able to use medkits on ourselves, since we're our own allies?
I'm also wondering this for my "Caring" SpellCard.Yes to both.
Hmmm...Yes, same counts for Yin Yang Ball. While Unzan is out, you may move with these items because the items make you move. Basically when Unzan is out, your ##Move command is blocked/greyed out.
Hey Hele, can I use a Broom to move around the stage while I have Unzan out, or would I have to retract him first?

:3 It'd bring everyone (including Bames) to the front gates and get them damaged by Nue if I switch the order around.
I could also try to instead of ride on, use Superhuman Byakuren on Bames while he's still here to try and confuse him and hopefully getting him to kill himself next turn.

So we have 2 bosses to kill....
@Helemodis: Does Flash's "25% on elite/boss" apply to only the chance of blinding the enemy, or does it apply to the attack's chances of landing at all?The Flash for Nazrin I completely messed up because I changed the descriptions from dice roll to % and fucked up the method. Gaaaaaaaah why is everything going wrong. I blame SirChaotick.
@Helemodis: Can Radiant Pagoda self-target, and are its legal targets limited to whatever area Naz is in?
I blame SirChaotick.
More importantly why is Miko in our temple?
Helepolis, now I'm in back left and shou's in garden left, teh map's broken again :PNinja fix
Oh wait, apparently I have the pagoda? I thought I idled last turn to override that command. You didn't see anything
Are we going to pause the game and look for a Shou replacement?
I am going to rethink also tonight increase my update accuracy. I am quite unhappy with myself because my slip ups causes too much confusion.Permission to quietly snigger? (I'm being an ass at this point, apologies)
Are we going to pause the game and look for a Shou replacement?Didn't validon said if not being able to post then Shou-chan is out? Or did I mistaken that. Or do you want to pause for security and find a replacement now? Let me know if there is a majority for pausing, then I'll pause and we will look for replacement. I'll check in the morning.

I don't think that'll work. Miss Sassy Elite over there silences our Spell Cards and Supremes if she's near us.
Man these guys have some pretty good auras. If they kept whatever plan they had, we might've been in big trouble.
Can you confirm/deny, Helepolis? I'm pretty sure it'd work were this an actual videogame, but a human moderator may well choose to veto such workarounds.Nue's UFO flight makes her immune to dmg and effects and yes during her flight, she won't be affected by the aura until she come crashing down.
That skill doesn't affect elites/bosses :VI'm aware it doesn't affect elites, but it's not like there were any other targets I could pull to my zone. Unless it also works on an enemy in my own zone. In that case, one point of damage not redirected, I suppose.
Also, you can just go last :/
I only used Kintama in the event one or more of the enemy came up my way. A defensive measure since I didn't have Unzan out.I think on average it's not worth it knowing only one enemy's going to get to you this round, but you would've been in some trouble if the leader walked up there and used a skill or something. I can see the merit in it.
Wait, I have 3 sutra scrolls, so why do I only have a +2 bonus? It should be +4 (1 + number of scrolls).
EDIT: ...Wait, if I move out of the silenced area, will I be set to use a spell then? Given my ultimate is global, it doesn't matter where I cast it, so I can still cast it, I just need to get the hell out of dodge first.Global attacks / skills can be cast from anywhere (like Byakuren's Ride on!) as long as the skill describes the global effect.
EDIT: Helecopter I'm pretty sure I should have 0 spell cards since I blew three of them two turns ago :VCorrection, you actually have 1 left. Jeweled Pagoda allows you to use one normal and one pagoda at the cost of 1 SC. Byakuren also gave you one. Unless I made a calculation mistake.

Wtf I said to attack then move◇ Each turn every player may submit maximum of one minor and one major action. A minor action will always take place first unless stated otherwise. Or a player may chose to fully idle or partially. (like skip the minor action)
A minor action will always take place first unless stated otherwise.
Mini, I can't use all that faith! My spellcards use HP in phantom mode. I can't spend it all!
Alright, first order of business is to shrek that Yoshika. She has 6 defense, my AoE has 15 power, I have 10 strength, she has 18 health.
I can't use attacks because I'm immobilized (apparently immobilization doesn't stop movement?), but spells are distinct, as Miniking stated. So I'd prefer to drown everything again. This will certainly deal the greatest amount of damage, especially when coupled with ohayoulamadingdong. This is once more my preferred course of action. Two qualms, however.
One: Ichirin cannot move from the spot, meaning she would have to take a 1/4 risk to get pulverized on the spot. Which I would feel especially bad about, as she hasn't got the chance to do anything much.
Two: This will congregate all fans and stars together, and while drowning will knock out a large amount of them, their buffs will still be maximized. Which means I'll take a significant amount of reflection damage, though I should be able to survive.
However, if Shou blows her gasket before I do, the amount of fans will be significantly reduced by the time they get to me, and our combined efforts will level pretty much everything. I -think- that's worth the risk. I do want confirmation, though. From a purely tactical viewpoint, I think Ichirin's an acceptable loss, but I'd feel reeeaaaally shitty about it.
Ichirin, in any case, do not grapple anything this turn. Don't need crowd control when you can just DROWN EVERYTHING AHAHA
No action until feedback this time.
Also, about Equality. Does "Other effects will continue" mean things like Nue's crash or attacks already in progress will still go on or what. Kinda confused about what's stopped and what's not.Correct. If Nue was already flying, she will crash. Debuffs/buff or supreme abilities which take turns still continue. See it as ##Attack, #supreme ability ##SC are all disabled for both enemy and allies. Spellcard/faith if used is refunded that turn. Byakuren's Equality will go first always. Though after that it will take the order given.
If I swap identities with Byakuren, can I use equality on the same turn she does?1) Good question. Tbh I haven't thought of that scenario yet. That would be indeed a major conflict when trying to summon 2 equalities. If such is the case then I will be fair to treat the order of skills by "True Byakuren" first then by the swapped identify. So Byakuren will go first with her equality.
If I swap with Murasa right now, do I also get to use phantom mode?
If I swap with Shou do I get a pagoda as well?
Oh right, if I become Byakuren do I also get faith/spellcards to give away? :VOnly faith.
Mod Clarification Request: Are Reimu, Marisa, and Miko used immediately upon purchase, or can they be purchased and then stored for later use?Stored for later use
Based on this, I think Nue should be in ♥Namusan-♪ mood if she uses Swap Identity when I go into ♥Namusan-♪ mood.
2) Yes, since Minamitsu is in phantom mode currently, you will be in phantom mode too. When it ends, you will also revert to normal Minamitsu

@Mod: What game actions can Byakuren's player take while Byakuren is in her current state?Byakuren's player can only commit ##Order / give SC / faith and Now, Namusan! command. Any other command is overruled because Namusan Mood.
Surprise is pretty useless right now, can you use more damaging spellcards? :Vdone
Despite the fact that I was, ultimately, superfluous, I quite enjoyed this game. I look forward to a sequel.Aside from the flaws I made with some OP supreme abilities or way too easy to spam them, I was expecting you as Ichirin to bash / destroy the elite / bosses with high DEF and HP. I mean, you're designed to destroy such targets. But instead you were sleeping in the bedrooms :ohdear: :ohdear: :ohdear: :ohdear:
AoE > Game. Especially with a move that essentially pushed all the enemies to a predetermined spot where we gathered up to pummel themYea I think the Ohayougozaimasu is bit too strong. Maybe I should've allowed something like: "Target 1 area global, that area is knocked to front gate". Don't know, difficult to think of anything now. Back when I was designing it, it sounded like a good skill :V too good.
