So ZUN has updated (http://kourindou.exblog.jp/10849567/) the site with this shot. It'd help to know what he says.
Though for some reason this looks somewhat familiar. Just me?

looking at UFO's HUD, these themes are visible: clouds, dodecahedron, lotus, red cross; I can't try to guess who the new character is, without having any idea of what artifacts are she wielding.
Following the pattern of MoF and SA, the character is probably a final stage boss..

the runes over her head could possibly well just be alien-style scribbles like stuff you see in fields etc, which would fit the UFO theme

Should've known; the way those signs appear at that angle makes me think of a scroll for some reason.

Realize that the thing resembling an arm with the glyphs is far too short and high up to be from the left side.
Actually, it's too disfigured to be an arm at all.

Yeah it's probably Ichirin's sister or whatever, now that I think of it, that's the most obvious choice there is at the moment.

The first thing that came to mind is that the game's spine might match SA's and thus look good sitting next to it on the shelf.
As for the cover, the girl's outline is pretty unremarkable, especially when compared to Utsuho's on SA's cover, but it does sort of look like she's wearing a Yumemi-style cape. Meh..
I also think that the dark blue cloud in the upper-left looks like a UFO.

Unless Yumemi got a big outfit change (which wouldn't be unlikely considering how both Alice and Yuka's outfits changed), that's not Yumemi; both the cape and the skirt are too short for her. Also, there's so many reasons that logically can't be Yumemi if that's the final boss I don't even know where to begin. Still, I wouldn't say no~

All I see is some of...strange curly hair of a side and strange straight hair on the other side and a strange thing in the left hand that create strange symbols that ends in a strange right hand.

And I think she has something in her other hand too, maby a sheild.

That was my first thought. Actually reminds me more of the Ancients script (http://www.gateworld.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=21&pos=524) than the Stargate glyphs.
