Some of you may have heard about my recent Let's Fail Touhou fail videos.
They're compilations of many of the derps and funny deaths that happened to a variety of people (mainly MoTK members).
Post any replays here that you consider to be worthy of being in the next compilation and I'll add them on to my next installment. If you prefer, you may also send a PM with the replay.
Once I have around 30 or so fails, I'll make another video. Try to make sure that the submissions are entertaining to watch, like many of the fails in volume 1. If your not sure if it's good enough, then post it anyway. Odds are that someone will find it funny.

There was another time when I ran into Kaguya from the bottom of the screen. It wasn't to collect point items, mind you - it was during the beginning of a card. I thought I was holding down.
Maybe I should have saved replays of my failures. Oh well, I'll do that from now on.

(To be honest, it's been a while since I uploaded them so I don't remember where I died aside from the ones in Stage 6)

The Patchouli fight in this Hard mode run (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=20109) has quite a few failures, including deaths to both sets of non-directional lasers. My inability to regain full power in Sakuya's last non-spell or capture Scarlet Meister might be entertaining as well :V
Also from EoSD is this failed Extra run (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=20108). There are many bombs and deaths, naturally, but most notable are Kagome, Kagome, Counter Clock, and QED. I get QED'd as Flandre is exploding.
EDIT: I prefer going by "Ridley 64" if you decide to use any of these.

Yeah. I think it's better to use our common nicknames in annotations (cause youtube handles look weird). And feel free to mention my channel in description ;)

I think you should probably just rename this to Let's Fail Touhou Submissions Thread since you don't want to have to make a new one for every volume. You could probably just make a note of when you release a new video so people know when the new one is open for submissions.
Also, might I suggest linking people's youtube accounts (if applicable) in video descriptions so others can see their successful content.

You do know topic titles can be changed by the creator.

I am as well, but I was just making sure that people were ok by this. I'm under the impression that a good number of people here are more recognizable by their current name than their nickname.

Well this is how I word everything I say in real life. I don't like having two different sets of vocabulary because I'm so used to sounding condescending from sixth grade that I don't really give a shit about wording (I.E. I don't care if I offend people after I've said something but I will try to be nice about things).

The death to VoWG at the end before the bullets begin to move is what I'm referring to. This was done at 90fps, so you may want boost the framerate to record it like that if you end up including it, though that's not strictly needed I guess. Feel free to include anything else that seems derpy from that run.

Derpiest part IMO would have to be the start boss Youmu's third. (Rather amusingly, it was also the best full run I had before achieving the 1cc. over two months later. :V)

Okay... proof that I've got a few screws loose today. I've been feeling it and now I've got tangible proof. The main attraction in this one is me getting myself killed 5 times while trying to pacify Kogasa. Well, that's 5 times on the first two attacks while trying to 'safespot' them. I don't know if a person royally fucking up a safespot is the kind of stuff you want for your video though. If not, then there's a 3 miss pacifism of the final spell in it too. That's also really bad because of the nature of the deaths.

In a so far flawless scoring run, I ram Cirno in attempt to PoC after capturing Perfect Freeze. There are and will be no bullets on the screen for a good second or two. I would've restarted but I remembered this topic so I intentionally gameovered immediately after.

Murasa fight. I handle everything in the battle pretty well and capture everything up to the third card which kills me. Death by anchor, not by bullet. It's almost as if I was doing my best to catch the anchor.

My last scoring attempt at EoSD normal was horrible >_< Replay (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=20261) I've got hilariously trapped myself at Koakuma, wich like never happened before! First death on stage 5 doesnt count as derp, cause it was intentional (and so is one at the start of stage 6). But then i forgot when i supposed to bomb for score and wasted 3 bombs in a row and got trapped by wallfairies :]

Pretty sure I had some hilarious fail somewhere in here. This was my latest submission (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=20266) for the scoring challenge this week. I know I derped quite hard at midboss sakuya in stage 5 trying to graze the nonspell. Can't remember what else I did since i raged at MMX beating me by 500k and spent the next 2 hours trying to beat him and failed miserably (none of those replays are saved but probably would have been great for this).

Just to let people know, there is no problem with submitting a replay done at 90 FPS. I have the vpatches for the games so it would be easy to change the FPS. As for whether they would be as funny, you guys may be surprised. I just recorded a 90 FPS replay and it was no less funny at that speed.
Also, an update: I have been busy so I've gotten behind on recording. However, I should have more than enough for a new video so expect that soon. As for who made it in, you'll just have to watch the video to find out. In the meantime, continue submitting, since there will always be room in the next volume.

Just to let people know, there is no problem with submitting a replay done at 90 FPS. I have the vpatches for the games so it would be easy to change the FPS. As for whether they would be as funny, you guys may be surprised. I just recorded a 90 FPS replay and it was no less funny at that speed.

Well it took me long enough, but I've finally completed another volume (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqxBa4MlcZk)! Thank you all for your submissions! The video is now fully annotated so you can see which who made it in by watching or simply by checking the description.
To those who's replays did not appear in the video, fear not! There were so many submissions that there wasn't enough room in one video for all of them (not to mention I haven't even watched them all yet). If you didn't see your fail in this volume, there's a good chance that it will be in the next one. Fortunately, now that the summer is here, I should have a lot more free time to make these. As a result, the next ones shouldn't take as long to make.

The stage had a death on the midboss but otherwise the stage went okay. The fuck-up is found at the boss. It's a stage 4 run of SA. Apparently i think that failproof strategy when two bullets are coming straight at you, slowly from above, is to try and move through them instead of around them as I should've done. It's pretty silly.

Well I suck at these games, when I get a big accomplishment it's due to either lots of practice, effective bombing, or a lot of luck.
Not trying to get my own video. It'd be too boring (Especially for me) because I have seen my own failures before and sometimes laughed at them. I think once I did a midboss ram on purpose but then quit because it wasn't worth it. Plus a lot of the games I play are the same/exclude a lot (I.E. I rarely ever bring up PCB, SA, GFW, TD, or MoF and I constantly bring up UFO because I now love that game to death after death after death).
Point is I'm not trying to get my own video. I just felt that Ozzy should have a good supply of ammo so I give everything, even the kitchen sink.
Edit: Counting my own replies to this thread and it is, excluding ones without replays, and I have ten posts, one with a huge stack of replays.

Yeah, but I don't know what people consider funny so instead of giving them the complicated, picky soup they want that could be missing a good variety of ingredients to make it great, I give them the full buffet and see what they like best. You see it as unwanted ballast, I see it as "All failure is laughable" because part of me is still elitist.
But I will try to sift my gold out of what's just "the game's fault".

I just sorta stand there and watch that lone blue bullet continue on its collision course for my face. Watch carefully and you can almost pinpoint the exact moment where my brain just switches off! Even at the time when I used to be much shittier at these games I thought this was incredibly derpy.
It's still amusing to me to think that THIS run which started off so incredibly poorly went on to be my first Normal 1cc of any Touhou game ever.

Since you're making a new one, I'll offer another replay of mine. It's not the greatest, but my playing isn't variegated enough to give many opportunities for funny deaths. In any event, I just tried another no-bomb no-focus run of EoSD, and stage 4 has a fairly freakish death right before Patchy. I died at the same instant as one of the fairies, so the bullets became items and clustered around the point where I died. That's really the only good one, though you can use whatever you want from that run if you're so inclined. I leisurely back up into some bullets on Sakuya's second nonspell, for instance, because they blend with that background, but I don't think the stupidity of the maneuver is apparent since that attack just looks confusing anyway.

Could just be rainbow UFOs in a few spots (which gets more changing UFOs) and a couple blues in Stage 6 (because of so many point items)

I was referring to the Blue UFOs in Stage 6, not the rainbow UFOs. If you look in my Hard 1cc, you see I use them a lot and would make me a hypocrite if I noted otherwise.

Simple case here.
One can do three things with solid blues: waste them, use them in a large blue or put them in a rainbow.
Wasting blues is not beneficial.
Rainbows are impossible in this case.
Making a large blue does a couple of things:
1. A bunch of points. Points can not harm you.

Erm, the reason why I summoned Blues during stage 6 in some of my runs would've been to get an extra colour-changing UFO.
I'd mainly use it to summon an extra Green UFO (or Red depending on the situation) if I wasn't going to get enough colour-changing UFOs from the space-invader fairies.
The reason I'd summon blues in any other stage (mainly only stage 5 and possibly, but rarely, stage 4) would be because they're no other UFOs on the screen at the time, to make a colour-changing UFO after it's destroyed, and also to clear screen (ie. doom-fairies, but usually I just pick up any UFO I can find if they wonder near me, otherwise I pray.)
That's probably why my score fluctuates wildly from 200mil to 300mil in runs which reach LFS. However, I really don't actually care much about my score right now because I just want to get this damn run out of the way :derp:

I die to both of Alice's last cards, I die twice to Lily White, I die stupidly to Merlin's first nonspells, spending stupid amounts of time. I think on one of Youmu's spells in Stage 5, I die somewhat stupidly. A lot of deaths in here are either sidestepping into bullets or not dodging at all. I think something stupid happens after I gain a life during Yuyuko.

996m PCB normal run, 100m lower than my high. Technically a better run if you don't count stage 6. Now where do I start here. Died on Youmu mid spell, died on second non, bombed on the butterflies+bubbles spell, died to homing lasers, died and bombed to the spell before reflowering, died twice to reflowering...Yeah, I think I lost a good 200m at least. Goddamn that sucked... Let's not even mention my Lunasa opener death or my death on Youmu's first. Or not having a border for the spam in stage 5 and having to use 2 bombs to collect the items. Or dying to the red bullet fairies before the death fairy in stage 4. Yeah, let's not go there.

Greetings people. I've shelved this thread for long enough. It's time to go back to work on this, though I have a massive backlog of replays to go through. I'll try to pull replays old and new. Part of the reason I stopped a while back was that a great deal of my computer's hard drive was unexpectedly lost, including some of the recordings I had already made.

So a couple days ago, I decided to mix things up a bit, relax, play some easy mode. I'd played Easy mode only a couple of times before, and had never played through IN as ghost team before.
During this run, I figured that the run would start to fall apart around the back half of stage 4 like it usually does, but I actually manage what I believe is my best stage 4 performance to date!
...And then I proceed to die three times in a row to Tewi. (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=27006) (And that's not counting the fairy death immediately prior.)
That's not the craziest part though: I end up walking away with the 1CC! (Sure, it's an easymodo FinalA max-lives 1CC, but still... my first 1CC of anything, on any difficulty, ever!)

To be weird, I decided to practice Stage 4 of Ten Desires with Reimu on Hard.
The amount of stupid deaths is amazing. Once to Seiga's midboss spell, once to Tongling Yoshika, and twice to the nonspell after that, which I generally am good at doing. Then I capture Seiga's last spell without even attempting to play it well. What the hell?
