Title: Generic "my computer isn't running some games at 60fps" topic.
Post by: Chuckolator on April 06, 2012, 05:22:32 AM
PC98 runs fine even in fullscreen. I don't have to do anything special.

EoSD, PCB, PoFV, StB run fine in windowed mode and 1/2 frameskip. I can live with this.

IN and MoF lag to ~40 with a lot of bullets onscreen, with windowed and 1/3 frameskip. Annoying, but doable.

SA and onward though?the loading animation runs fine for about half a second, then it immediately drops to an abysmal 3-5 fps, no matter what I do. This is what I'd like to fix.

Judging from the way it generally goes from normal to slow as you go up the games, I'm thinking it's just a bad computer. I don't know anything about system specs, but I did was said in this (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,12288.0.html) topic and I get:

Operating System
MS Windows XP Home 32-bit SP3
CPU
   AMD Athlon XP
   Barton 0.13um Technology
RAM
   1.00 GB DDR @ 166MHz (3-5-3-7)
Motherboard
ASUSTek Computer INC. Kelut (Socket A)   50 ?C
Graphics
   G90fb-2 (1024x768@60Hz)
   VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP
Hard Drives
   156GB Seagate ST3160215A (PATA)   27 ?C
Optical Drives
   HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NP20
   ASUS CD-S480/AH
Audio
Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller

Would I be correct in my assumption?

Completely. Computer specs are just really bad.

As I thought, thanks.
