Oh, please. CCS' only triumphs over Sailor Moon came because they had better technology available at the time. Sailor Moon is definitely old-school-- and yet they don't rely on newfangled technology the way CCS did.
'sides, there's some things you just can't improve on. Sailor Moon was groundbreaking with one of the first popular lesbian couples, Haruka and Michiru. Sakura and Tomoyo's relationship, in comparison, doesn't even come close to being as warm and loving as theirs.
And the amount of care Takeuchi put into her cast of characters is nothing short of fantastic. Great supporting cast, interesting and dynamic characters, and some actual character development. Sakura doesn't even come close.

Oh please, CCS was full of forbidden love relationships, and SakuraxTomoyo is just one of them, albeit one of the best ones. And there was plenty of character development, too! You clearly never watched past the Clow arc. And don't give me any of this technology bullshit either, it's completely irrelevant.

Yeah, for eight-year-olds. Sailor Moon, on the other hand, was for people who wanted characters with depth and character to look up to. If I were to show either CCS or SM in public, which should I pick? The anime where everyone dressed in OHSOKAWAII *_* outfits, or the anime where shit got done and people sacrificed themselves for love and justice?
