They're slow, often don't work very well and can have issues with opening up the image.

Can I make a request that the entry pics have some kind of signature so I don't have to keep going back to the final entries list to re-find which pic belongs to whom when comparing them side by side?
It's only a matter of convenience when deciding my votes, but if it gets taken up, I'd be really helpful.

Imageshack and photobucket give 1998 dial-up flashbacks with how slow they load. I liked tinypic a lot until 2 or 3 months ago when it suddenly crapped out completely and I can't see anything anymore on it, not even my stuff.

Imgur, puush, Minus, etc. are more modern and stable. I'm cool with deviantart, though.

As Haku said, said sites tend to be slow and/or just uncooperative.

A more practical solution might be to have a mirror link - for instance, one could have a pic on both PB and his/her Dropbox.

Also makes it easier when there's players I haven't seen before, since I don't have to guess what they'd like to be called by.

I'm pretty sure the original suggestion was a bit sarcastic, despite the slow site problems that are fully there. Least that's how I interpreted it at first when writing the response post - hence the Mima smiley

95mb/s connection here, and there's a visible loading time, maybe like 5 seconds or something. Even with its resolution it shouldn't take that long.

For me, I've had no problems at all seeing any entries, and personally would be okay with it. But I'm guessing for others the loading is slower, so you might want to make a switch.

Okay, so my life is busy now and I'm retiring from Aliceball. I might show up once every two months and play some pick-up for the love of the game, but I'm getting too old for this. Mostly, I'm going to be like Charles Barkley and show up for the post-game show and voting every week. I'll still post updates in the Use Your Illusion thread - that book will keep on going.

Also like Barkley, I do regret having to retire without having won the Pasu O'Brien Trophy, but I enjoyed the game whether I won or not.
