Off for now, if anybody has any more business with Parsee or has any other action priorities then go ahead and go with them before these:

> Wave and let the princess get back to her sophisticated reading.
> Backtrack all the way to the tunnel where we jumped the guy and take the other, more unpleasant route, looking out for anything suspicious or out of place.

>Stupid bridge youkai, thinking being literate is something special. You're twice the literate she is!
>You backtrack through the tunnel yet again, until you reach the fork near Yamame's chamber. You follow the fork as it meanders northeast and begins to rise then descend down into the bat warrens. The smell is already enough to give you pause.

>You cover your noise with your sleeve and carry on. It helps somewhat.
>The cavern widens , as stalactites start to become present some yards above you The walls are wide and smooth, curving outward and giving a chamber a kind of bubble-like appearance. Looking up, you can see a few bats here and there, squeaking among themselves and a couple flying about The bulk of them must still be outside feeding at the moment. Below, the floor is obscured by the undisturbed remains of generations of bats living together in a single cave for as long as anyone can remember. It is...pungent, to say the least. You really have no idea how they can stand it. on the other side of the bat warren, you can see a small corridor leading further southward. Obvious exists are North and South.

> Float along south. Do it slowly; no need to disturb the bats present.

>You float southward, doing your best to leave the bats and the floor undisturbed. A few of the bats take exception to your presence, flying off with squeaks of protest, but the majority don't seem to be too concerned about you. It is not a pleasant trek, but eventually you leave the bat warren behind you, and the air becomes tolerable again.
>You are in another tunnel, this one pleasingly narrow at the walls; seldom more than a yard and a half across.  The ceiling is about twice that above you, narrow enough that it would be quite easy for you to get stuck there if you tried to get up there.  The stone here is pretty rough, you wouldn't want to fall against it.  The tunnel slowly loops eastward, and soon should be climbing upward. If you recall properly, there should be another chamber, then it links up with the ravine.

> Let's continue on until we get to where we woke up, just in case.

>That's very weird. Could he fly? That'd make this a lot more difficult, if he could. But you're certain he is human... Maybe he fooled you somehow?
>You continue onward. The air grows a bit more humid as the corridor curves and widens into a new chamber. The walls and floor here are very rounded and smooth, with no sharp edges to be seen. Stalactites and stalagmites are everywhere, some reaching nearly to the floor or ceiling, others merging to create natural columns. They make it a little difficult to simply walk through the chamber, you'll have to maneuver around some of the curtains. As well, much of the chamber is covered in a soft carpet of mosses and various lichens of various colors and textures. At a glance, you can see several that are edible or have other uses, but they don't seem to be in season right now. If you're not mistake, you're pretty sure Yamame tends to harvest a lot of these and sell them. Near the edge of the chamber, you can see a small corridor leading  northward toward the ravine, and another tunnel continuing eastward. Obvious exits are North, South, and East.

> East

>You continue eastward through the larger tunnel.
>This tunnel is fairly block and uneven, not quite zig-zagging, but coming close to it as it climbs upward. At one point, you notice a small hole in the ground, a little bigger around than your hand. Glancing into it, it seems to be a small shaft, leading down into the earth further than your eye can see. Ahead, the corridor slightly widens into a small, high-ceiling chamber. You immediately note it is littered with various odds and ends; little clay bowls and crude wooden shelves and chests. As well, you can see a couple of faeries here, one of them eating something from one of the bowls and another messing around with something in a chest. One of them looks up as you entire, and cries, "It's the creeping ganode!"
