I redid an earlier drawing from the first page of this thread. I chose this over another one- Flandre- because this had fewer anatomy problems to worry about.

I ran out of things other than Touhou to draw, so I began searching for Sengoku Jidai daimyo to chibify. I realize I haven't done chibi in a long time.

That's a fair bit of improvement in the first picture! And I always found chibis very tricky to draw, myself. Those are nice.

Takeda Shingen is using the Windows 8 logo   :V :V

I know that you improved your art but  in that "Draw this again! meme" I don't see "improvement"  because the styles are different I think, so you can't compare them. The older one is Chibi while the newer one is more realistic. Try to improve Chibi-remi to see how did you improved in Chibi-style :P

Just a quick lazy sketch. I finally got anime eyes down!

Gasp, a comment from pasu?  :*

I meant to draw Otomo Sorin - in celebration of the new Otomo DLC for STW2 - but there aren't any pictures of him except for the ones from Sengoku Basara. So here's some filler instead while I wrap my brain around the problem.

On an unrelated note: ponies. How do they work?

Before anyone gets any funny ideas, I like the art style of the show, so I'm trying to learn it now. It also gives me a great excuse to examine (cartoon) animal anatomy.

Okay!

tbh i thought no one would see that

I'm trying to draw Remilia, and eventually Patchouli, in 19th century European fashion (not ZUN's lolita style); although I realize I should have drawn her in 17th century fashion instead. In Gungnir's place is a matchlock rifle that is COMPLETELY OUTDATED BY THE 1800's.  :fail:

I'll get a colored version up sometime soon, but I don't like the way the colors are turning out.

I somehow found myself on your first page :3c  and saw it

Ahh european fashion, I do love their poofy skirts so. I like the rifle in place of her gungir too.
I would suggest you google up similar dresses, get their colour schemes, change the hue to red(or black, or blue, or white, or whatever you want remi to wear) and then keep playing with the skin colours until they finally match. Also, you could try lightening the opacity of the lineart layer if the colors are too contrasted against the black lineart (though this probably only apply to me <_<;; )

Pasu, your Flandre is done, but there's no color yet. Do tell me if you want the original Flandre instead, because I'm already coloring this one.

Honestly, I don't get why everyone thinks Flandre is Ax Crazy. Why can't she be, say,  Adorkable?

Done coloring! Lots of gradients and playing around with lighting. The matchlock is too detailed, though.

I have a WIP that's threatening to pop my eyes out. I don't have the patience to color all the details, but I'm required to have it fully colored. Bleh.

Random drawing I did the night before I left for vacation, just to see if I could still draw without outlines.

I was bored, and I couldn't come up with anything but a sketch.

I'm not quite sure if putting hair on a Patapon was a good idea, because this Reimu looked like Mokou before I added the sleeves.

Looks like Satori's 3rd eye is cosplaying Reimu, pretty cute in an odd sort of way.

...I never thought of it that way.  :o

Remember how I said I couldn't think of anything to draw? I take that back, but I can only come up with sketchy stuff for now.

It's obviously a WIP. I plan to add more arrows (and probably some cannon rounds) and more tiers to the castle. If I ever get this done, I'll make another drawing from the defender's perspective.

You should make the 2 styles with the same pose, now I am confused :P

And if you don't have anything to draw you can always choose one character and draw it with clothes of another character, cool miko eye BTW

I seem to have gotten the hang of big eyes, namely by making my canvas size large.

oh god why haven't I commented in this thread yet D:

Looking at the Yuyuko sketch, I like how it appears clean and effective. Arm seems a tad short though.

Play around with the program some more, certainly helps.
