well If you say ZUN like I'm gonna assume you want to just do midi orchestra stuff. But no, its actually the farthest thing from irrelevant.

The type of music you want to make will determine what tools are best for you. If all you want to do is things like ZUN just get cubase or logic. Those will do the job.... but I would suggest refining and making it clear as to what exactly you will be doing with your sound. It is impossible to improve with out a solid image.
