Maybe we could convince him that the invasion wouldn't be glorious if we get him to talk to some of his citizens (assuming they're not on board), although we would need to actually meet some of them first.

I had an idea involving phone polls, but Kisume wouldn't know what those words even mean. She would be very familiar with the dichotomy between the philosophies and pastimes of the powerful, and those of the populace.

Well, unlike past games, in this case said project is being done with the explicit stated purpose of impressing people.
