Snow's Workbench (Kiki Tanioka)
« on: August 08, 2010, 02:18:35 PM »
Since the beginning of summer 2010, I've been becoming much better at this.
 :derp:
Sooo, here's my stuff.

NEW:

Kiki Tanioka

Music:
REMOVED DUE TO PREJUDICE AGAINST A CERTAIN WEBSITE UPON WHICH FILES WERE HOSTED

Danmakufu:
So, these are in order of age, older cards at the top, newer cards at the bottom.

Kiki Tanioka

George

SnowFunc (A Basic Function Library)

Death Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Shut, Apocalypse Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Broken

Poe ~ Hitodama in the Graveyard

Stage Four Boss - Tori (Note: About this one, the second card is a bit hard for a stage four boss, I?m dumbing it down. Wings are now free to use by anyone and everyone!)

Radiance ~ Undying Light of the Amber River

Nuclear Meltdown

Argh furaffinity
Why did you put things on there?

Anyways, nice scripts, but they lack a certain touch (that I just can't describe with words, but I do know what it is. I'm a ⑨ with words) (THE SPRITES! Make some! It'll be a lot better than ExRumia) to make it just right.

Also, Nuclear Meltdown is impossible, considering the space given to dodge the red/white delay cloud bullets.

AND... A replay of TORI's 3rd spell card. Easiest Stage 4 spell card ever, if you ask me.

Wow, did you made all these music ? this is awesome.
-Death Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Shut : awesome :D but you shouldn?t do that ?haha here suddenly comes a huge wave of fast purple bullets? that?s just cheap.

-Apocalypse Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Broken : FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU fast bullets everywhere, are you mad ?

These are two sample cards from the Normal mode:
normal mode? it?s a bit harsh for a normal mode (unless it?s on lunatic)

Poe ~ Hitodama in the Graveyard : [Poe :smug:] It looks a bit weird, the bullets don?t go alone very nice, you might want to try those rice bullets instead. Or change all the bullets into the same graphics.

Stage Four Boss - Tori  :the third card [maybe when the grey kunais reach the center of the screen , it disappears ? that will save a lot of people from rage - ing] The other spellcards are ok :D
Stage4Card3_replay00.dat (4.41 kB - downloaded 1 times.) : Ohhhhh so that?s what your suppose to do

Radiance ~ Undying Light of the Amber River : FFFFFFFFUUUUUUU, I can?t see anything and I?m dieing for it, it?s a great idea, but you might want to make those yellow bullets not kill you.

Nuclear Meltdown : It doesn?t look impossible though, it?s just really hard ? ? ?

Haha old chaps, comments are in bold! Also, a new song has been uploaded!

Argh furaffinity
Why did you put things on there?
Few reasons, the main reason however is due to free server space. You should eb able to view it, since it doesn't have a Mature tag.

Anyways, nice scripts, but they lack a certain touch (that I just can't describe with words, but I do know what it is. I'm a ⑨ with words) (THE SPRITES! Make some! It'll be a lot better than ExRumia) to make it just right.
I see. Personally I think you are completely right, my cards lack the fun of the real thing. Also, sprites are currently in the works.

Also, Nuclear Meltdown is impossible, considering the space given to dodge the red/white delay cloud bullets.
Hohoho, believe it or not I have captured it at least once! Just really difficult. Not Impossible. That's usually how I grade my difficulty, If I can't capture it at least once, it's a bit too hard.

AND... A replay of TORI's 3rd spell card. Easiest Stage 4 spell card ever, if you ask me.
My my!

furaffinity and any other site that blocks content until you register can go SHOVE IT! (except this one, because it's a forum. and forums are different) nice scripts btw.
The only content Furaffinity Blocks until you register is pornographic material, and unless that?s what you are searching for I don?t see what your hatred is for. This post seems to be a bit pointless, sorry.

Wow, did you made all these music ? this is awesome.
Thank you very much, and yes, I made it all and much more.
-Death Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Shut : awesome :D but you shouldn?t do that ?haha here suddenly comes a huge wave of fast purple bullets? that?s just cheap.
Everyone says that, maybe I should take the sudden wave of bullets out?

-Apocalypse Sign ~ Seventh Lock is Broken : FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU fast bullets everywhere, are you mad ?
normal mode? it?s a bit harsh for a normal mode (unless it?s on lunatic)
In this case, it is indeed for hard mode. There is no easy, so it?s the default setting.

Poe ~ Hitodama in the Graveyard : [Poe :smug: ] It looks a bit weird, the bullets don?t go alone very nice, you might want to try those rice bullets instead. Or change all the bullets into the same graphics.
I was thinking on doing the same thing to tell you the truth.

Stage Four Boss - Tori  :the third card [maybe when the grey kunais reach the center of the screen , it disappears ? that will save a lot of people from rage - ing] The other spellcards are ok :D
Stage4Card3_replay00.dat (4.41 kB - downloaded 1 times.) : Ohhhhh so that?s what your suppose to do
Actually, that?s a good idea, set a spot in the center where bullet death occurs.

Radiance ~ Undying Light of the Amber River : FFFFFFFFUUUUUUU, I can?t see anything and I?m dieing for it, it?s a great idea, but you might want to make those yellow bullets not kill you.
I lol?d. This one is all a trick. Load the card and stay still in the default position. Watch the magic!

Nuclear Meltdown : It doesn?t look impossible though, it?s just really hard ? ? ?
It is just really hard. In the spirit of Okuu, like the requester wanted, I made it extra strong.

I love Incidental Disappearances
Hoi hoi, thank you muchly.

I forgot to mention, three things.

1: Anyone well versed in Event scripts, please contact me. I'm having a bit of trouble with mine.
2: I take script requests, that said I can't always complete a script immediately, but I'll see what I can do.
3: New scripts have been completed, sooo I'm gonna load them up at the top of the page very soon, on Bulletforge as usual of course.

Heheh, It's mostly due to the fact that as a Work in progress for an upcoming game, it doesn't have completed character designs yet.

I'm trying to make this into a group effort, to allow other fans to help design the game and the characters.

Negative Space and the Mimic are AWESOME

You should make Nageki a girl. It's really weird having a male player character all of a sudden, and he acts more like a girl anyway. Just saying. >.>

I wonder if Devourer of History is intense enough? It's rather high-pitched... my st6 theme has the exact same problem :V

Pandora sounds like Pok?mon music. :V

Are you using the ZUN shot replace or not? :/

TORI and Hitodama in the Graveyard feel more like a manic shooter than danmaku. :/

Well, the thing about Nageki, is he is the Extra stage boss of Eternal Twilight, a story that I am quite fond of, that is being made for DNH. I like him as is, quite frankly~ His appearance is here:

I wonder if Devourer of History is intense enough? It's rather high-pitched... my st6 theme has the exact same problem :V
I asked myself the same thing, but it works well in battle~

Pandora sounds like Pok?mon music. :V
I wrote it a bunch of times, the version you hear is the fifth or sixth. It is kinda Pok?mon-esque.

Are you using the ZUN shot replace or not? :/
At this point, I'm really not quite sure. I've been thinking of making my own shot replace, but in the end If that option doesn't work out, I'll just go with the "Supershot" library.

TORI and Hitodama in the Graveyard feel more like a manic shooter than danmaku. :/
Indeed, but really I'm not that great at crafting good patterns~ But, manic shooting is fun too.

Hoi, yeah. It's a long story.

It was something somebody wrote a while ago, called Eternal Twilight, where Marisa became the inadvertant owner of the run down shrine against her will.

It started a few years prior, where Nageki was trapped in the shrine, the original family long since gone, leaving the spirit of the shrine behind, and the guard Tori to make sure it doesn't get defiled.

Uzuchi, hatches a long winded plot to distract people from the obvious incident that her Master was starting, and uses Nageki's shadow to cause a fake incident.

Nageki's Shadow, Godama has the inherent ability to destroy and create memories, and tricks several people into believing something that is untrue under the guidance of Uzuchi.

Godama tricks everyone involved except for Kiki, who has no real bearing on the plot. Ever. He uses this fact to make people believe that Marisa's bloodline traces all the way back to the original owners of the run down shrine, even though it is mostly untrue.

When the incident is resolved and Marisa defeats Nageki, he recognizes her as someone worth governing the shrine, and against her will, it technically becomes hers, even though she has little connection with it at all. Personally, it's just easier to call it the Kirisame Shrine, than the old run down shrine of forgotten gensokyo. Don't you think?

Wow bump.

Okay I've been super busy so I haven't been around really.

I Have three things to say.
One, the scripts I've made are a fair bit more difficult on a computer that runs at a steady 60 FPS.
Mine runs at about 30 during super complicated scripts.
That said, I will need a tester from now on.

Two, Backgrounds are really REALLY difficullt. I may need help with that.

Three, I have to upload a bunch of scripts. Which will be in the first post as soon as they are done.

I'll test~

Backgrounds are somewhat complicated, but it helps if you remember it's drawn the same way as the boss graphic and at the center of the screen. The hard part is making sure the boss's sprite and animations work anyway. I CAN HALPZ (<== figured them out last week) if necessary.

Empty talismans yes, but lots of them nevertheless.

Might I inquire which character you used, and any improvements you can come up with?

I've only ever 1CC'd it once with Marisa A, ever since I haven't been able to make it past Angel's Memory.

Angel's Memory has a few safespots. Good thing, too, 'cuz it's completely impossible otherwise.

It feels a bit repetitive -- the first card and Everlasting Power are pretty much the same, except one has a single triangle of (my! :V ) Dying Devas. Also, all those different colors of amulet in the same card is pretty hideous. Marisa advises against it in "The Grimoire of Marisa," calling such pointlessly rainbow-y cards "bug cards" and claiming they're overcompensating (though one might note the hypocrisy given her "Stardust Reverie" and "Event Horizon").
The fake amulets in the above-discussed card make the game lag like anything. >_>
Illusionary Dominance ripoff is... less than impressive, especially given the virtual safe-spot in the bottom-left corner (that, and its being the only way to survive). Top of the screen is untested.

There seemed to be rather a lot of unseemly errors that could have been fixed in playtesting -- the aforementioned safespot, a couple impossible dodges on "Illusionary Seal" or whatever that was called (the cool one with the circular blue-green wings). Mind you, that one was by far the best of the cards otherwise; it wasn't overstated and had a nice concept. I liked it a great deal, especially the narrow horizontal dodge.

Why is the player script so heavily based on Stuffman's Sakuya A script?

*tries the rest of the script to type a review*
I'm afraid to know what "B Mode" is...
Here have the replay.

Also attached is a replay of the last spell card.
Apparently the top left corner is the safest place on the entire screen for this spell card.
