Oh god. At first i thought this script is broken because every time i would instantly die. Decided to try it again and complain, but seems that first set of lazers are spawned so that i coulnd't even see them. After some attempts i was able to beat the pattern.

...I can't last for more than a few seconds.

I suggest the following: Delay the lasers and blue shiny bullets so that they do not appear until after the opening spell cutin has disappeared. Use a counter variable in the if statement controlling their spawning, and set it so that there is enough time to react to the first wave of instadeath bullets.

The spell has problems, but it is fun.  Getting used to the changing angles of the blue bullets is the hard part.
It's still not a bad idea to give more warning for the red bullets.  Increase their delay, perhaps?
The lasers are kind of the same, there's not enough warning.  This might just be inevitable without sound effects, though.

It doesn't instant-kill you at all anymore, though, so it must be improved from before.  That's really necessary for a card to be playable.

And I'm sure you know this, but your background has transparency issues during the cut-in.

Hatate Player Script:

I don't think firing from the bottom of the screen is a good idea... It just has too many flaws, and depending on the script, it may or may not work. Also, the shots are confusing, and it's hard to find Hatate. On a separate note, the SFX for the bomb are off by a few frames.

I think you're namely putting out the Unfocus shot. Yeah, it's hard to see her... This is only a Preview~ But the Focus should be fine.

Basically, what I mean is that when you have a script where you need to dodge very carefully at the bottom of the screen, the shots coming from the bottom obscure your vision and your hitbox. Also, some gimmicks may make having shots from behind you a liability. Basically, I'm against the idea of having such dark shots coming from directly behind you. Firing backwards is fine; having your own shots coming from behind isn't.

Ah, I'm always happy to see PoFV characters (and bullets) in regular ol' danmaku.

Hmm, well, my first impression:  "Oh my god, the background is white, the bullets are white, the player is white, I can't see anything!"  It looks like in Aya's background you've zoomed in onto a cloud!  Try changing SetGraphicScale(50,50); to SetGraphicScale(2,2); it looks a lot better!  (Although the bullets still kind of blend into the clouds...)

Once Tewi's background comes in, I start to get a head-ache because it's going way too fast.  That might be okay if it speeds up gradually (actually that might be kind of cool,) but when it's all of a sudden it's just too much.  Also, I'm not at all sure if the background cutting part way is intentional or not.  (It also looks bad, though.)  Unfortunately, Tewi's card is also tragically easy.

The backgrounds get a lot better after the first two.  Actually, I commend you for having different backgrounds for everyone.  There are a few mistakes, but it was definitely the way to go.  But anyways, Yuuka's card is the first one I liked, too.  It reminds me of Mitori's first survival spell.  Hmm, actually, with cards that make you spin around like this, it makes the most sense for them to be survival spells.  Unless you're using homing bullets, they take forever to damage.  Then again, if you had Yuuka take a break from time to time, it would give the player a chance to just shoot at her.  It would be cool if the circle of bullets in the center broke up at that time, too.  Anyways, I really enjoyed the flower bullets from PoFV; It's nice to see Yuuka using them again.  (Although there seems to be some problem with the big flower's graphics?)

The rest of the spell are quite fun too.  Reimu's seems impossible at first, but once you learn how to approach it it becomes a fair challenge.  Komachi's spell is all about listening for the audio cues, and, well, I haven't gotten far in Shiki's spell, yet.  Overall it's a good script.

There are... a lot of issues with the script.

Aya: Can't see anything
Tewi: Background is problematic
Yuuka: OK
Reimu: ...OK
Komachi: ...? Died on first try
Eiki: She died when I collided with her hitbox.

Yuuka: OK

Aya: Changed
Tewi: Slowed it down
Komachi: Well just listen for the "woohf"
Eiki: It's a Last Word... (I still need to increase the Points earned XD)

Tewi: The gaps were there on purpose. It's suppose to be paths, being the spell is called "Lost in the Bamboo Forest" I also slowed it down.

Version 2 up!

PoFV boss rush suggestions:
Aya: Darken the bullets? Because the player shots are white.
Yuuka: Maybe put the flower circle closer to Yuuka for more space to dodge?
Reimu: Maybe make the ying-yang orbs smaller if you can? I don't know.
Komachi: Darken the pink bullets. And make the gold ones curve less?
*And thank you for not spelling Yuuka like Yuka :D

Yuuka is the only possibility... But that's just for it being difficult.

The Hatate player is pretty cool~
Patchouli:
Solar Reflectors: The concept is nice, but I feel that the card would be more interesting if the yellow bullets weren't random, but actually had a pattern. Maybe making them slower would be a good thing too. Also, hugging the bottom gives you a lot of free graze.
The anti-safespotting attack (aimed bullets when the player goes above Patchouli) shows that you've caught a potential huge safespot (which is good), but I'd prefer having Patchouli fire yellow bullets up as well as down.
Neap and Spring Tides: Looks good and is fun to dodge, but maybe having the "safe area" (that the lasers don't reach) would make it better. I don't think it's easy to pull off correctly, though.

Patchouli Script reactions/opinions:
First spellcard: You kill me for going above Patchouli? How evil
But seriously, the card feels hard at first but by camping the absolute bottom it becomes almost too easy as well as giving the player hypergrazescores.

Second spellcard: Do I get bonus points for capturing the spellcard by circling around Patchouli the whole time? :V
Can be ignored though because the spellcard is easier to do the normal way. Also, what is the point of the lazers? Eyecandy? Camping the spot below Patchouli would probably be the safest approach even without the lazers being there.

Patchouli boss fight:
Intro- The life bar loads twice?
S1- Could be more creative. And those bullets aimed at the player at the top of the screen could be faster.
S2- ow my eyes. It was good though!
And the timer lasts too long.
It could use more spells and non-spells.
Other than that, it was great! :D
Title: Re: Phantom Song's Scripts of Danmaku

Patchouli script:

Spell 1: Very nice concept, but the bullets are a tad too fast. Also, going above Patchouli makes the script uglier because that wall of bullets doesn't looks os good graphically. Also, by going above and alternating to below, it's possible to BS the script.

Spell 2: Really nice to look at, really easy to dodge. I like it.

And yeah, that first lifebar is sort of out of place.

Kana Anaberal Boss Battle

NS1: Nothing special here. Nice though. [7/10]

Sp1: OK. The bullets are pretty fast and I bombed before I got the gimmick. Don't know what to do here. [10/20]

NS2: OK, but a little too dense for Easy Mode [7/10]

Sp2: Very repetitive. More like a non spell than a spell, in my opinion. [10/20]

NS3: Pretty much just misdirection. Pretty simple. [7/10]

Sp3:
Phase 1: Meh. Just dodge a bottle bit. The walls don't move. [6/10]
Phase 2: Meh. Even easier. [5/10]
Phase 3: The bullets surround you with almost no warning. The fact that she suddenly jumps out at you doesn't help either. [3/10]

Overall, 55/100. Don't think badly about me, but there wasn't much to this script.

- You get bonus points from me for using a pc98 character :3.
- Nonspells were good, but I'm wondering how random her second nonspell is...
- First spell is boring, unless I am missing something here with the bubble bullet.
- Second spell was good. Not that hard, but pretty and still some fun to dodge.
- Third spell, looks good, but unfortunately the random white dots seems to take up all the danger in the first two phases and the last phase is kind of BS.
I'm wondering, is there some gimmick to the first spell, or is it just horisontal streaming?

I was thinking of some kind of special gimmick, instead of just forcing the player to stream horizontally.

It servers double purpose to be a hitbox for Kana because you get far away from her, and to prevent circling .
