The translation only works with the updated expansion.

Thanks, I actually just found out about Lingering Summer Heat. Gonna go search for it now.
Edit: 2.06 went through (to 100% anyway, didn't seem to be any errors) but it still crashes.

Make sure that you had the original japanese .pak's in place when you were updating. If you try updating on the English ones it wont work.

Blah, still crashes. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I saw any mention of Lingering Summer Heat in my original download.

The game seems to be consistently crashing when I try to talk to Akyu at this point (just beat Iku). Don't know if it's a problem with the translation or only my computer, but yeah I guess I should say something about it. Everything's updated, by the way.

[edit] Ah yeah, and Marisa's elemental growth tree has "Fire/WaterEarth/Elec damage +15%" two times in it, at 5 and 10 skill points.

Hello, this is something minor, but when you talk with Akyuu after unlocking all the recipes(pre-post game), this gets repeated:
"It is news that would even make the Gensokyo Chronicles writer widen her eyes in shock."

Fire Boost(火強化)
Water Boost(水強化)
Earth Boost(地強化)
Elec Boost(雷強化)
These field effect descriptions are wrong. They should reduce damage of the opposite element.
In addition, Elec Boost says something about FIR.

One of the Stage 19 boss fight hint is translated wrong.
It should be something along the line of 'Variety status should work on her'.

I also get invisible equipment stats sometimes (usually in the first minutes after opening the game), but changing maps usually fixes that.

I'm unable to get past the very first intro when Reimu and the others team up without crashing. Any advice?

I am running the game in Windows 95 compatibility by the way.

The only other advice I can give you is skip that dialogue by pressing the skip button, whatever it is.
The way I encounter crashes is once after the dialogue completes, it crashes, then if I reload the game and replay it, that same dialogue won't crash.

I've gone through the dialogue a few times with the same result.

Yes, if you go to button config, there are a whole bunch of buttons. One of them is "S" and one of them is "P", I think P means pause and
S lets you skip dialogues.

"Somehow, this seems like new scoop" is a translation I basically came up with in 5 seconds, but somebody can verify/proofread it.

I've been a lurker here for a hella long time... but i only recently started looking into this game. I'm afraid I'm no use as far as the translation effort goes, but i noticed the "latest version" links are broken... Not really sure who to ask for assistance with this, but i was wondering a) is it just me having the problem with mediafire? and b) am i the only one having trouble getting the 2.01-2.06 patches to work?

I was really looking forward to finally getting to play this game (without stumbling blindly through kanji for days on end) but now I'm not sure how likely that will be. If it helps, i'm almost certain i DL'd the "recent version" of the game and img earlier today in my patching efforts... so if the link IS broken, it only happened just recently. (I've since lost those DL's... prolly deleted when I cleaned my desktop of all the broken files...)

Happiness edit: after attempting to boot the 2.01 patch multiple times I gave up and decided to refresh this page. what lovely words did i find, but a 2.00-2.06 patch at the top of the page!!!! ( I knew there was one, but it also wasn't working for me... somehow the DL y'all posted was less defunct than the official one on the homepage.)

So I'm at 2.06 now, but I still can't access the "most recent versions" in the OP. any advice?

Hai, umm o_o...

I'm having a problem with my Sappheiros, i want to play but it seems prone to crashing alot ... i did use skip to go past the beginning cut scenes after it crashed me once, but i cant seem to save... i go to the hakurei shrine save circle, and then restart game to see if it saved and it crashes on me. I'm using windows 7 and used applocale to open it. i also have english patch installed with the 2.06 :x help please?

The game autosaves when you leave dungeons/areas, etc. Is the game not saving properly?

Edit: on the note of crashing during dialogue, do [we] know what's causing it?

actually, it usually crashes after i get byakuren and save and restart... not sure why ... >< i gotta wait again to get the message again...

Also just tried, i started it again and skiped through opening, but, it still didnt save the file so when i start again it goes through all the cut scenes and stuff :/

well i went to SDM, beat meiling, went out back to shrine and restarted the game via F12, and then it just gives me the [______] has stoped working pop up and closes the game

any idea what's up with the DL link for the game and img .paks in the OP? I personally can't access the Mediafire pages anymore. they worked fine yesterday, but in the evening they totally ballzed up.

Well, first are you running this in Japanese locale and are you using Windows 95 compatibility?
I am not quite sure why your files are not saving, because the game normally autosaves whenever you close the menu or exit from a dungeon.
Did you somehow cause the file TSD000.sav or whatever it is called to be READ-ONLY?
