12 excluding the referee spots I assume. Then they should simply enlarge the map to support 5v5 play. Current map is slightly too small for 5+v5+ games (and the mechanism is lacking).

That reminds me of good old times where we did 4v4 on 949 map. Man that was one huge crowdfest.

Proven once more that there is no logic to making DotS an "enjoyable" and "playable" game.

Wait, what? right, both are physical now and can crit?

When the new patch comes around, yeah her D and F skills will do scaling physical damage. Anchor would be really suitable for her since she can tank damage. More suitable than Heaven's Peach. Who'd have thought... heh

Well, Anchor is pretty expensive to rush as it will gimp your Chiko. Though Titanic oar isn't that bad to built next to her Scythe.

Though you still need to effort A LOT in STR items since they went gay on her formula. 2s+formula. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . why =.=

I hit Infinity at far range. With Gungnir. While he was invis. Epic win.

A 5v5 map can be played 6v6 style as well I guess? But seeing WC3 standard has 10 player slots at max? Or do they have more?

There's 12 player slots in WC3.

Not sure who's actually still interested in such a thing, but I'm so close to being completed now...

http://imageshack.us/g/402/27993307.jpg/

Just left with a couple more heros, and some user interface phrases, though I'll be busy over the weekend. Oh well.

What's not seen in those pictures though are some improvements made to some of the triggers, e.g. re-writing triggers to use timers instead of the buggy TriggerSleepAction command and preloading of skills...

Looks good, also having a up-to-date english map would look good for new people. I guess having to look through the wiki and all the moon runes can be overwhelming.

Yeah and you can have an easier time memorizing things, and you don't have to play "guess the item recipe looking at the item prices" (i'm looking at you 3d escapade)

ApharmdB, looks interesting. I've got some suggestions about your map patch. Can you e-mail me (since I can't PM you)?

do not understand, the patch is a new map in English and this is a program that converts the language?

And because no new versions out?, Do not understand what exactly happens in the official forum

uhhh i dont think its a patch, i think he just edited the map and all its values to be in english. after he finishes this he can just use macros to refill in all the values on newer maps that come out and just need to modify whats new.

What Rawr said. It's an unofficial translation after all. All I did was edit the strings and triggers really, so this isn't a patch but a separate file/map altogether. The upshot of this is that, barring drastic changes such as complete wipe/remakes of heros, translating future versions shouldn't take more than a couple of hours; most of the time is spent compiling and testing the thing anyway. The map's now on both bots - use !load dotseng967 to load them.

3 heros remain untranslated - Mugetsu, Parsee (harhar) and Ex-Rumia. Because of how the translation was done, there may be a couple of things that I missed out, and the formatting of the text probably looks ugly for some skills with terribly lengthy descriptions (like Yukari, whose ult is a blatant attempt to break the border surrounding tooltips in WC3 :V). Maybe I'll get around to fixing it in the next version...

Optimized Chinese DotS v0.967g map - http://www.mediafire.com/?8aa8us2034qm6xv
Basically the map was run through a widgetizer specially made for optimizing chinese maps. Takes about 3s to drop the map's usual 30s loading time to roughly 9s for me. Pretty impressive considering the usual widgetizer tool takes a couple of minutes on my comp to process the map (and then it throws me errors). This map now replaces the usual DotS map on both bots.

English DotS v0.967 map - http://www.mediafire.com/?if7tmc7vqt6nrpk
This one is flagged Eng7 FinalX and has had some optimization done to it so it loads faster than before. I did something boneheaded for the Eng5 version which removed all the descriptions of status effects, so use this one instead. Heh. Running the chinese widgetizing tool with default settings on this map truncates skill descriptions, so this won't load as fast as the optimized chinese map, but still quite a bit faster than the non-optimized one (timed it at about 20s for me). Both versions now load equally fast  :V

If anyone notices any anomalies when playing on either map, post it here or prod me on IRC and I'll look into it. :)
