IN stage 4 "gimmick" I am fully expecting.
But screw Reimu/Marisa for being the stage four bosses, they've had two shots at it already. (Marisa three times.)
This time, I want Sanae (Uncanny) and Youmu (Powerful) as the stage four bosses.

Youmu for sure would work with the spirit them. I guess with Sanae, it's a matter of who's the better miko? Would work either way, but I'd rather see ZUN come up something a little different than something predictable.

if Mima ever for some weird reason gets to appear as a "reformed" former evil spirit/soul/deity/Marisa's mom, I can see her using PoDD's hyper mode against the player :p

I'll hope for unlockable characters (though then it would be a bit too much shot types -- 2 per character, at least, from the screenshots), which means more endings and -- of course -- more shot types and characters (more unlockable stuff from Spell Practice, too). Problem is that youkai aren't usually playable characters when it comes to solving incidents (exceptions being IN and PoFV.. and maybe some assistance in SA and UFO).. not that this means that spellcard rules can't be used by youkai as playables, though.

I wonder how will ZUN make 10D become distinct from the other games (one gimmick for example being Eirin and Kaguya, and the Prismriver sisters participating in combination spellcards).

What kinds of characters do you think we can expect this time around?  Seeing how this game is spirit-themed, it's almost guaranteed that there will be a new ghost similar to Yuyuko.  Assuming that Mima does return, I'd imagine that she has a new human witch assistant like Marisa.

Stage 1: Wriggle Nightbug.
Stage 2: Mystia Lorelei.
Stage 3: Kamishirasawa Keine.
Stage 4U: Hakurei Reimu.
Stage 4P: Kirisame Marisa.
Stage 5 (midboss): Tewi Inaba.
Stage 5: Reisen Udongein Inaba.
Stage 6A: Yagokoro Eirin.
Stage 6B: Houraisan Kaguya.
Stage Ex: Fudziwara no Mokou.

Ignoring Ex-Keine because she's the same person as the third stage boss, Imperishable Night had 10 boss characters.
From this, I expect Ten Desires to also have ten boss characters, perhaps one to each represent one of the Ten Realms.
This isn't a strongly based expectation though, as I haven't put enough thought into it to bother counting the number of characters in the other games, but since Ten Desires seems to be most like IN, the others don't seem to matter as much. :V

The only things that have to do with the game are that he plans on selling the demo disc at Reitaisai (May 8th) and giving all profits to charity. However, it will be made available to download, likely before the disc goes on sale.

This, i dont see how people can quote untranslated stuff, talk about it without specifying what it's about, and act like everybody can understand it. If i quote something french, you can be sure ill translate it roughly.

The ONLY parts that are relevant to the thread are what Nereid and I already said. ZUN will put the demo online at some point in the next month or so but will still sell discs, donating all profits to charity.
