Thank you for patience. Reitaisai 8 has been officially scheduled on the weekend of 8th May 2011. ( http://www.reitaisai.com/ . Therefore the thread should return to the community for discussion and such. Seeing the old thread had 994 posts, it would be unwise to reopen that one as it will hit 1000.

Please continue within this 2nd thread. Below here the opening post from thread I. Credits to AyeAyeLemurSM (HakureiSM) for original topic starter.

I don't get half because I don't know how to moon and GTranslate makes it confusing, but he ~~mentions~~ is releasing a trial during Reitaisai. ~~Maybe~~.

I would believe not, Since I would believe ZUN would have family to check on after the incident, no? He must'va barely had time to really change anything, so I'm just going to assume he only had at the most 48 hours time to change anything about the game, and thats not really a lot of time.
But still, its great to see that its not going to be postponed until the 11th or something, I've been hearing rumors it would.

Is it confirmed that ZUN will actually attend this rescheduled one?
What if he decides not to attend for whatever reason(like checking on his family like already mentioned)?

I'm positive that he will be going. After all, isnt reitaisai everything about touhou? It would only make sense the creator would go. Then again, I dont know if he ever went to any, so...

Well glad to know that even the JP touhou community remains strong after the entire incidents. And so the festival goes on.

I expect a lot of money made here will go towards the Japan reconstruction though.

The demo was originally going to come out in the middle of midterms...now it's going to come out in the middle of finals.

A few. The earliest PCB demo supposedly had a bunch of spell cards not seen in the final version or even the next beta, but this version cannot seem to be found anywhere on the net.

The next beta also showed a completely different set of art for each person and a different cherry point system. Other than that, there were only minor differences such as cleaning up hitboxes in MoF or changing Yugi's first spell card to be less impossible.

Good to see Reitaisai will still go on. I'm surprised it's coming up this soon, though. Then again, if it was postponed until summer, there wouldn't be much point, since Comiket would be at about the same time. Maybe ZUN might make a couple of adjustments, but if I were him, I'd like to see how people feel about it before committing to any major changes (even though in the end, he'll just do what he wants, as always).

The bumped-back release date means that we'll need to demo the regular stuff at the Anime Boston Touhou panel and won't be able to discuss Ten Desires much at all. There goes some 20 minutes of new material. Bummer!

I am very glad that Reitaisai has been rescheduled, and I have also heard that most, (if not all), of the funds will be going to the Red Cross for relief efforts for the tsunami/earthquake victims.
