Your Magic Power is counted by percentage level. Every time you use a spell possible for you to cast, percents are eaten up and gradually lower.
The lower the magic power level, the more tired you feel. When the level reaches 20% you drop out cold tired. If this level goes down to 5%, you permanently lose one of your nine fluffy tails, resulting ina  permanent loss of 10% Magic Power level capacity.
If the level would drop to 0%- you die, fail as a shikigami. Magic is serious business.
The Magic Power Level can be replenished back by eating, sleeping and resting.

I already described how much effort the Netherworld would be.
As for Kourindou, you know the way as well, though it's not that close. It would require you to fly if you want to reach it today and it'll burn 10% of Magical Power.

I'll leave you to vote and the majority of votes will get their option. In about 6 hours I shall be back, count the votes and the choice shall be made.

>From the gut: If Korindou would be easier to get to/require less magickal usage, go there: We need to pace ourselves, there might be useful things there, and it gives a probable lead on at least one of our problems. If any fairies decide to be annoying on the way, we can interrogate them about Chen as well - it's more likely ones near the Forest of Magic would know than near Higan. Unless Chen has been getting herself into far too much trouble... oh dear...
