Mokou Quest - Violence Gensokyo
« on: November 09, 2010, 03:33:14 PM »
>You are Fujiwara no Mokou, and your world is horrible.

>Everything was perfectly normal one day until a huge portal appeared in Gensokyo. But it wasn't one of Yukari's gaps, as there were no eyes, but complete darkness. A surging influence came out of the gate, transforming many Gensokyoans into shadows of their former selves.

>For example, Reimu Hakurei used to care little about her donation box, and was only midly lazy. Becuase of the influence of the gap, she's been transformed into a greedy and lazy (but mostly greedy) jerk. She's now a thief who bullies people for money. Marisa Kirisame became just as greedy as Reimu...but her outstanding greed is inhibited by the acts of her "girlfriend", Alice Margatroid, who is an insane girl who violently enforces her "love" for Marisa...except that she's indecisive if she likes Marisa or not. Everybody thinks Alice likes Marisa anyways. Not that it's pleasant for Marisa at all. But the biggest monster would have to be Yukari Yakumo. She commits several sexually depraved acts a day, like making Ran streak for sick titillation, and rules Gensokyo with an iron...gap. Anybody who opposes her (and anybody she simply doesn't like) is gapped and sent to a place with all eyes and no escapes. A while ago, she had gapped your best friend, Keine, because she was worried that her abilities to change history would be able to prevent the Gensokyo-changing portal from ever opening.

>In response to Yukari's rule, you and Kanako have formed a resistance against her rule, since, stupidly enough, Yukari doesn't use her powers to be omniscient and Big Brother-ish. And you thought she was a Magnificent Bastard. Anyways, several important people have joined the resistance. You never need to worry about not trusting anybody- nobody holds any loyalty to Yukari, ESPECIALLY Ran, except the gullible Chen and some fairies.

>Your goal right now is to have Rikako Asakura re-open the portal while the other members of the resistance stand their ground. Some are very questioning about this. Some wonder that, if they let the portal open, more bad things might happen. Some are questioning Rikako and her status as a "heretic." You reallly don't care, as long as Gensokyo is rid of Yukari.

>You are outside your shack now. What would you like to do?

(Note: This text adventure is not set in any other Touhou fanwork. It is intended to be a Deconstruction.)

(Note 2: Because of how slowly people post in Eiki Quest, I think I can juggle both this and Eiki Quest.)

>Quickly retrieve arms from shack.
>1: You look inside your arms and pull out your shack.
>Your arms happen to be in your shack, while the rest of your body is not. They are attached to your arms, though, so one quick movement and the arms are outside of the shack.

>Think about what everyone in the resistance might be doing and where they might be right now.
>Most of them are probably living their lives right now.

>Set TVTropes on fire.
>You see no reason to do so, and you don't know what TVTropes is, anyways.

>Determine sturdiness of pants and suspenders
>Your pants and suspenders...are you talking about their resistance to heat or how well they hold against damage?

> Examine inventory, skill and quest.
>Inventory
  >Red and White Paper Charms
    >Charms you put on yourself everywhere to give yourself hot resistance.
  >Other articles of clothing
    >Stuff I really don't need or bother to describe.
>Skills
  >Firebending
    >You have the power to control fire.
  >EX-level Danmaku
    >Your danmaku skills are high. It's generally hard for people to beat you without getting hit or using a spellcard at least once.
>Quests
  >Dammit, Yukari
    >Yukari rules Gensokyo with an iron first. You want to oppose her as often as possible without getting gapped.
  >Beyond the Dark Portal
    >Rikako's working on a device that can re-open the portal that caused this in the first place. Can you get the device up and running before Yukari finds out about the resistance or the device?
  >Order in Gensokyo
    >Under Yukari's rule, Gensokyo has fell into chaos. You and the resistance want to keep Gensokyo under control until you can get rid of Yukari.

>Determine extent of fire powers
>You can manipulate fire in every way, from removing it, splitting it, moving it, and creating it.

>After the portal opened, Kaguya hasn't left her house at all. She does nothing but use a strange box-like device all day. She is totally unwilling to fight you, which is why Eirin joined the resistance- so she can find out what could cause Kaguya to start acting like this.

You go south. You are now in a deeper section of the forest. There isn't much to do in the forest right now.

> Also, juggle some fireballs for a bit.
>So you do. You don't think it's such a good idea, but you're bored.

>While walking, think of how to get to Rikako from current location.
>Rikako's lab is in the northwest partof the Human Village. You could go north up the road, then west to get to the Human Village, then north and west again to get to Rikako.

>You walk over and make her eat fire. Literally. She's now got a burned mouth.

>Set her hair on fire.
>You think burning the amulet ribbon off of her head may have some serious consequences, but you do this anyways. The amulet doesn't burn, but the rest of her hair does. She yelps, wraps herself in darkness, and runs the heck away.

>Knock her unconscious and take her teeth.
