So, I've picked up a new fad. Problem is that I am simply no good at it. Whatever.

Chessmaster is kinda nice. I should get XI at some point.

For actually playing chess online, someone pointed out chess.com, which is horribly practical. However, there is also ChessJam. ChessJam is runs on Adobe AIR, which you will need to get. I am willing to use either, but [only the gods know why] I seem to like ChessJam a little better sometimes.

Also Archon, while not quite chess, might be better whoops
