The problem with that is clearly explained in this article ("The Mental Iceberg" section in particular). Summary: People who are good at something won't exactly know why, nor will they be able to explain it. It's still an interesting thread idea, but don't expect to get better at the game from reading it. If you can't even think of a single pattern to use though, perhaps you should make the thread more general.

I suggest an artist challenge to create the new bookmark icon.

I made the first from Flandre's pose in Bad Apple!!
The second was an edit of the site's logo's yin-yang orb.
Third and fourth I made by myself.

I know these aren't in .ico format, but I just thought I would see if any are potential candidates first.
I can edit them more if you want.

Edit: I also have 64x64 versions of all of them if you need them for other sort of icons.

The "search for members" function is case-sensitive, with no option to turn it off (that I know of). Very minor complaint, but would it be possible to change it?

It's how the database works.  I can look into making it case insensitive but for now I'm working on general search engine updates.

Other than sorting on the member list and some wonkiness with the Unread Topics/Replies page I don't know what else is outright broken.  My big hurdle right now is dealing with performance issues.

Calendar works fine, just noone uses it at the moment.  We eventually will use it more often but it's not like it's wasting any space.

1) We're on PostgreSQL, not MySQL, so typical performance "tweaks" don't apply.
2) I've already applied the common sense ones, we're basically down to either upgrade the hardware or start seriously customizing the software to our particular load and needs.
3) Reducing post per page and stuff like that won't fix it.  The issue isn't a CPU issue but an I/O issue.  We're thrashing the disk too much.

Yeah I'm looking into things.  Obviously customizing is cheaper than upgrading since cost for my time is essentially zero, but there's only so far we can go with it.
