Well, okay.  If you feel the site could be improved by a new feature or addon (see this list here; please note that only mods for SMF 2.0 RC1 work on here at this time until we get RC2 up and running), be sure to let us know.  It would help your case immensely to explain the benefits of your desired mod.  If you are persuasive enough, the administrators and moderation team of MotK will discuss the potential ups and downs of the feature.

Don't be discouraged if we don't respond in this thread or don't approve your addon, though (even if you ARE really persuasive).  We would usually have a good reason for not doing so.

Just to give forewarning.  Even if we approve your modification, it is unlikely to get implemented until RC2 is live UNLESS the mod provides a major benefit.

This is merely so we can get an idea of what you guys would like while I work furiously on making RC2 not suck function the way we want it to.

Feature request/possible bug: a "Mark as all messages as read" link/button on the main index.  The other SMF forums I'm registered with have one, but it doesn't seem to be accessible with this theme.  I was able to achieve the same thing by copying the the MARK READ link in a subforum and replacing "sa=board;board=3.0" with "sa=all", so it seems that the functionality is already there but isn't exposed.

You can click 'Show unread posts' and then 'Mark all read' to reach the same effect. That's how I do it.

Oh hey...it's in the logout link.  So I guess I could use a regex to extract it.  And the "Mark all read" link is the exact same thing that I did with the copy/paste/substitute.

Polls are very much disabled for a reason.  They were abused in a prior incarnation of the forums, and they're likely gone for good.

Polls are universally disabled because like Edible said they've just been used for retarded things in the past.  I tried to make them mod-only but SMF's permission system is completely out of whack and didn't work at all so I just said screw it and disabled it.  I might do a daily poll thing for the front page but it's really a gimmick more than anything.

7hs is still around, and so is Lev, but I guess I'm the only one actively working on the site. 
Up until about a year ago I was just doing technical work/behind the scenes stuff but now I'm trying to at least be active in the community

I was thinking, many people belong to more than one special group, but only one tag is visible above the avatar(for obvious reasons, a stack of tags would be stupid and messy), and so the most we can identify of a person's groups is two, considering the username color, like Matsuri is right now. Pink name for Acolyte and blue Global Mod tag.

What if all the custom titles showed in the profile page, and not just one? Then again, this isn't a very important thing, and I doubt it's possible, but

Staff decision.  While CPMC is "open" to anyone, we would prefer it if Google and Co. didn't crawl it.  Plus we're not interested in participation in a "social" forum from people who aren't willing to register.

You can lurk just as well with a registered account, and registering is hilariously easy here.

Is there any way to bring back collapsable [*code*] blocks? Posting large code blocks is making things hard to navigate and adding absurd amounts of vertical space, plus you hardly ever need to see so much code on the screen at one time.
