[Music/Charity '09] Tou-ho-ho Songfest Rules and Entries
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:31:41 AM »
A full write up of both contests/drives can be found here: http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=4124
This thread is strictly for entries; if you have questions please feel free to PM me or post in the above linked thread.

RULES:
You take a typical holiday song, and Touhoufy it.  There are two categories, one for lyrics, and one for singing.  There will be a winner for each category as well as an overall winner.  Winners will decide how the cash pot is split and which charities it goes to, as well as receiving an Idiot Pantheon position.  Best Overall gets to decide 50% of the cash and wins ID, Best Lyrics and Best Singing get 25% and IM respectively.

The charity pot is open to donations, and while you do not have to donate to participate, it is greatly appreciated.  More information can be found here http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=4129.0

ENTRIES:
Entries must be submitted with the following information.

Original song name and lyrics
Link to original recording (if possible)
Persons submitting (for group entries)
New name and lyrics

If your entry is missing ANY of those pieces of information (except the original recording), it will not be judged.

Judging will be done on a song-by-song basis.  Entries can be done as a group or solo.  You can either sing your lyrics or simply post them for review.  Karaoke or A Capella is acceptable.  Ethnic or regional holiday songs are more than welcome so be creative and be unique!  If you do sing it or write it in another language we do expect you though to at least translate your new lyrics for us =P

One song per post please!  Please try to attach your songs to your posts, but if you can't please use something like Mediafire or Dropbox to upload it.  There are no limits to how many entries you may put in, but judging will be done per song so if you write up lyrics and then sing it later that's only 1 entry.  If you win and cannot decide a charity your portion of the pot will be used towards purchasing toys for Toys for Tots donations.

Ah, I appear to be the enthusiastic first entrant. I'll explain a bit after the entry.

[edit] This is a Fightest solo submission.

Original song name and lyrics:

В лесу родилась елочка (V lesu rodilas' elochka; "A little fir tree was born in a forest")

(Fightest's note: Do you need a translation or a transliteration of the above? A short description otherwise: the song speaks of a fir tree that was born and grew up in a forest, where the chill and the blizzard would keep it company. Eventually the tree ends up beautiful and decorated, bringing joy to kids in their warm home. It's a children's song to celebrate the New Year, so I've tried to maintain certain aspects of the flavour, as you'll hopefully see. Note that "hell" refers to Makai, and "Others" is the closest thing I could get to Youkai. Translation follows the original language entry and is self-explanatory.)

New name and lyrics:

В аду родилась девочка (V adu rodilas' devochka; A little girl was born in hell)

Translation

A little girl called Alice was born in hell,
And she was determined to learn magic all by herself.

She was an orphan, however, with no friends or loved ones,
And nobody at all to give her presents.

She would weave mournful, magical words,
And soon the wondrous Others around began to speak of her.

A six-winged goddess lived all by herself in hell,
tired of everything around her.

However, the six-winged one heard the rumours about the little girl,
She took her favourite tome of magical words.

At her own celebration the little girl sat alone,
There was nobody around her, and everything was silent.

Suddenly the six-winged one appears, leading a gathering of song and dance,
And now the little girl celebrates the New Year with friends!

(Fightest's note: end entry. I'll try to sing it at some point, so that's pending, and I'll try to edit it into this post when that's done.)

Aggag, didn't read the rules closely enough.

Original lyrics:

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

Original recording: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55j7rLp8iIY

Spoiler:
...There's more to that song? Screw that! :V

Also, solo entry by Donut.

Alright, here's my little song thrown together in two hours. I couldn't find a way to make parts have the right syllable count, but whatever. This is sung to the tune of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.

Reimu the Red-white Miko

Reimu the red-white miko
had a very rundown shrine.
She never got donations
as she was quick to whine.

All of the other youkai
never gave Reimu money.
Sweeping the empty shrine grounds
gets a little bit lonely.

Then one drunken Summer night
Suika did say:
"Reimu with your grounds so big,
would you host my shindig?"

Then all the youkai loved her.
Parties happened every day.
Reimu the red-white miko
you'll get a donation someday!

I'm tired of dealing with this, so here we go:

Cirno the Circle-9

You know Alice and Suika and Remi and Patchy, Yuyuko and Youmu and Ran and Yukari.  But do you recall...the STRONGEST Youkai of all?

Cirno the circle-9
Was the strongest in Gensokyo
And if you ever saw her
You would say ?Ha, Ha Ha, No.?

All of the other youkai
Used to laugh and shoot her down
They never gave poor Cirno
A chance to make it off the ground

Then one froggy Christmas Eve
Reimu came to say
?Cirno, you've got ice powers right?
Can you freeze these frogs tonight??

Then all the youkai loved her
And they shouted out ?Hooray!
Cirno the circle-9
I...guess you might be okay.?

Welp, I finally put something together for this.

Original: O, Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me.

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
From base to summit, gay and bright,
There's only splendor for the sight.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
Thou bidst us true and faithful be,
And trust in God unchangingly.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!

And now my little incarnation, cleverly dubbed Donation Box.

Donation box, donation box,
Your offerings are so petty.
Donation box, donation box,
Why aren't you fat, like Letty?
The faithful come, with cash in tow,
So why are you still empty so?
Donation box, donation box,
Your offerings are so petty.

Donation box, Donation box,
I think you might need dusting.
Donation box, donation box,
The coins inside are rusting.
All smaller than a fifty yen,
There can't be more than nine or ten.
Donation box, donation box,
I think you might need dusting.

Donation box, donation box,
You're still so fun to rattle.
Donation box, donation box,
When I return from battle.
I'm done with youkai genocide,
To shake you is my only pride,
Donation box, donation box,
You're still so fun to rattle.

Donation box, donation box,
I wish that I could burn you,
Donation box, donation box,
So then I wouldn't yearn you.
I look inside, with hopes help high,
But since you're bare, deep down I die,
Donation box, donation box,
I wish that I could burn you.

MP3 because I had to. I hate my own voice with a passion, and I hate my singing even more, so be glad you're getting this. :V

Slapping this down to make sure I get a claim on it. Hasn't been sung yet but I'll be sure to post it when it's recorded.

Title: Hey, Ho, Nobody Home

Lyrics:
Hey, ho, nobody home
No meat, no drink, nor money have I none
Yet should we be merry
(repeat)

"Original" recording (everything you need to hear is literally in the first 40 seconds)

Kilgamayan, UncertainKitten and Drake (song will be sung as a round, which is why it's so short)

New title: Hey, Ho, Osaisen

New lyrics:

Hey, ho, osaisen
Donations please 'cuz money have I none
You will make me very merry
(repeat)

My little Christmas entry.

Santa got run over by a reindeer

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

She'd been drinking too much egg nog
And we begged her not to go
But she left her medication
So she stumbled out the door
Into the snow.

When they found her Christmas morning
At the scene of the attack
There were hoof prints on her forehead
And incriminating Clause marks on her back.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Grandpa
He's been taking this so well
See him in there watching football
Drinking beer and playing cards
With cousin Mel.

It's not Christmas without Grandma
All the family's dressed in black
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we open up her gifts
Or send them back.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now the goose is on the table
And the pudding made of fig
And a blue and silver candle
That would just have matched
The hair in Grandma's wig.

I've warned all my friends and neighbors
Better watch out for yourselves
They should never give a license
To a man who drives a sleigh
And plays with elves.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Original lyrics in sound

Mokou got run over by Kaguya

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine Christmas Eve
You may say there's no such things as lorries,
But as for me and Mokou we believe.

She'd been drinking with Suika
And we'd begged her not to go,
But she lost her favorite clothing
So she stumbled out the door
Into the snow

When they found her a bit later.
At the scene of the attack.
There were tire tracks on her forehead
And incriminating NEET marks on her back

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Mokou
She's been taking this so well
See her there torching Eientei
Drinking beer and kicking ass
With Kiene

It's not Christmas without Mokou
Torching Eientei till it's black
And we just can't help but wonder
To our festival will she
Be coming back.

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe

Mystia is being stalked
By Yuyuko, The Hungry
And Red-and-White is hoping
For many donations

I've told all my friends and feighbors
Eientei has some new toys
That just ran over Mokou.
Kaguya Likes to drive it
Roaring through bamboo

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe

(I won't sing it)
Little did he know, the shed was near Yuyuko, who was in a role-play of Dune. As a sandworm.

Joint entry by myself and Helepolis.

Reisen the red-eyed rabbit

Reisen the red-eyed rabbit
had a pair of crinkly ears
and if Tewi ever pulled them
she would be brought to tears

All of the other rabbits
used to laugh and call her names
They never let poor Reisen
play in any rabbit games

Then one foggy Lunar eve
Eirin came to say:
Reisen with your eyes so bright
won't you guard the house tonight?

Then all the rabbits loved her
as they usa'd out with glee
Reisen the red-eyed rabbit,
You'll go down to Yukari!

When Santa was a boy orignal recording

Lyrics
When santa claus was a boy
He liked to give other children toys.
Except for kids who werent that nice
He filled their socks with ice.

He liked winter more than spring
He loved to laugh and loved to sing
Christmas carols were his favorite songs
He sang them all year long (fa la la la)

CHORUS:
Santa claus oh santa claus
What a funny boy he was

No one could quite understand
Till Santa was a man

He wasnt all that great in school
But in geography he ruled
He could name every home
from the North Pole to Rome

After school he liked to play
On his papas winter sleigh
He was sure reindeer could fly
If someone would let them try

CHORUS

Always in a jolly mood
Christmas cookies were his favorite food
He liked to give more than receive
Especially on Christmas Eve

He always wore... red suits
He always wore black boots
Even at the summer beach
He kept them within reach
CHORUS
(instrumental last 2 lines (no one..)

He spent his weekends with the elves
Making toys all by themselves
They learned to make such wondrous things
While theyd laugh and sing (ha ha ha la la

Lots of kids thought he was strange
But they liked him just the same
His joyful heart and merry way
Brightened every day Ho Ho Ho Ho
CHORUS CHORUS
Repeat last line: No one could quite understand
Till santa was a man

When Yuyuko Was Alive Downlad

Lyrics
When Yuyuko was alive
She liked to eat other people
Except for the kids who tasted sick
She filled their socks with a...

Always in a jolly mood
Mystia was her favorite food
She liked to eat more than fight
Especially in Imperishable Night

Yuyuko oh Yuyuko
What a hungry girl she was

No one could quite understand
unTill she ate them ALL

She liked winter less than spring
She loved to eat and still more eat
She also liked to eat chicken's feet
She ate them all year long (fa la la la)

She wasnt all that great in school
But in the cafeteria she ruled
She could name every food
from Wriggle and the bird

Yuyuko oh Yuyuko
What a hungry girl she was

No one could quite understand
After they got eaten

After school she liked to eat
She even ate her papa's feet
She was sure shrinemaidens could fly
If someone would let them try

She always had her giant fan
She always shot butterflies and
Even at the summer beach
She kept them within reach

Yuyuko oh yuyuko
What a hungry girl she was
No one could quite understand
Because their brains were digested

She spent weekends with Yukari
fooling around all by themselves
They learned to steal such precious things
While theyd laugh at our suffering while she shot those freakin' huge bullets at us

Lots of kids thought she was strange
But they Got eaten just the same
Her joyful heart that she stabbed
Made her a ghost Ho Ho Ho Ho

Yuyuko oh yuyuko
what a hungry girl she was
No one could quite understand
Because they went down her digestive system

Yuyuko oh Yuyuko
What a hungry girl she was
No one could quite understand
Until she ate Mystia

Till Yuyuko was DEAD

(I didn't bother to reedit the lyrics to match the final song)

With permission from Madness Chaser, my entry is the vocalization of his 'Mokou got run over by Kaguya'

So, here's all the necessary information:

Original Song: "Grandma got run over by a reindeer"

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

She'd been drinking too much egg nog
And we begged her not to go
But she left her medication
So she stumbled out the door
Into the snow.

When they found her Christmas morning
At the scene of the attack
There were hoof prints on her forehead
And incriminating Clause marks on her back.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Grandpa
He's been taking this so well
See him in there watching football
Drinking beer and playing cards
With cousin Mel.

It's not Christmas without Grandma
All the family's dressed in black
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we open up her gifts
Or send them back.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now the goose is on the table
And the pudding made of fig
And a blue and silver candle
That would just have matched
The hair in Grandma's wig.

I've warned all my friends and neighbors
Better watch out for yourselves
They should never give a license
To a man who drives a sleigh
And plays with elves.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Touhou Version: "Mokou got run over by Kaguya" Download

For the recording I used this Karaoke-Version

Text written by Madness Chaser
Note: Cursive text are additions made by me

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine on Christmas Eve
You may say there's no such things as lorries,
But as for me and Mokou we believe.

She'd been drinking with Suika
And we'd begged her not to go,
But she lost her favorite clothing
So she stumbled out the door
Into the snow

When they found her a bit later.
At the scene of the attack.
There were tire tracks on her forehead
And incriminating NEET marks on her back

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine on Christmas Eve

But as for me and Mokou, we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Mokou
She's been taking this so well
See her there torching Eientei
Drinking beer and kicking ass
With Keine-Sensei

It's not Christmas without Mokou
Torching Eientei till it's black
And we just can't help but wonder
To our festival will she
Be coming back.

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine on Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe

Mystia is being stalked
By Yuyuko, The Hungry Ghost
And Red-and-White Shrine Maiden
Is hoping for donations in the cold

I've told all my friends and neighbors
Eientei has some new toys
That just ran over Mokou.
Kaguya Likes to drive it
Roaring through the bamboo

Mokou got run over by Kaguya
Walking home from the shrine on Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Mokou, we believe

Sing it, Mokou

I got run over by Kaguya
Now my body's burning with an angry glow
You can say there's no such thing as lorries
But as for me and Kaguya, we know

(Yes, that's still me singing that part XD)

A miko with her gohei.

On the 2nd day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Two Yin-Yang orbs,

On the 3rd day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 4th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,

Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 8th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Eight onis drinking,
Seven Mokous burning,
Six Yamas judging,
Five Moriya's rings.
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 9th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Nine Tenkos flashing,
Eight onis drinking,
Seven Mokous burning,
Six Yamas judging,
Five Moriya's rings.
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 10th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Ten witches grazing,
Nine Tenkos flashing,
Eight onis drinking,
Seven Mokous burning,
Six Yamas judging,
Five Moriya's rings.
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 11th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Eleven fairies dying,
Ten witches grazing,
Nine Tenkos flashing,
Eight onis drinking,
Seven Mokous burning,
Six Yamas judging,
Five Moriya's rings.
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

On the 12th day of Christmas, Yukari gapped to me:
Twelve bullets flying,
Eleven fairies dying,
Ten witches grazing,
Nine Tenkos flashing,
Eight onis drinking,
Seven Mokous burning,
Six Yamas judging,
Five Moriya's rings.
Four parasols,
Three napping Chens,
Two Yin-Yang orbs,
And a miko with her gohei.

Considering this song was written in the town I'm living I HAVE to take it apart~

Original: Silent Night, Holy Night

Silent Night, Holy Night

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Now, the new lyrics with one totally new verse~

Imperishable Night, Eternal Night

Imperishable night, eternal night
Nightbugs fly, shining bright
Eating the Sparrow the Ghostly Child
Youmu just watching absent of mind
Rest in eternal peace
Rest in eternal peace

Imperishable night, eternal night
The village vanishes out of their sight
Keine points to a building afar
There hides the mastermind Alleluia!
Marisa, the Witch comes
Marisa, the Witch comes

Imperishable night, eternal night
Daughter of Tepes with scarlet light
Bright beams shoot from the bosses face
Loud ticking noises signal the graze
Fighting for the next Dawn
Fighting for the next Dawn

Imperishable night, eternal night
Extra Stage time for the Red/White
Mokou is waiting - has nothing to do
No Kaguya today, so she?s fighting with you
The fire, it burned for all night
The fire, it burned for all night?

Now, with 100% more of my voice
- and some really high notes I can't reach~

Solo entry by myself; just the lyrics, if anyone wants to take a stab at it.

We Three Kings of Orient Are (original recording)

We three kings of Orient are;
Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

Chorus
O star of wonder, star of light,
    Star with royal beauty bright,
    Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.

Born a King on Bethlehem?s plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.

Chorus

Frankincense to offer have I;
Incense owns a Deity nigh;
Prayer and praising, voices raising,
Worshipping God on high.

Chorus

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
Breathes a life of gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
Sealed in the stone cold tomb.

Chorus

Glorious now behold Him arise;
King and God and sacrifice;
Heav'n sings Alleluia,
Alleluia the earth replies.

Chorus

-------

We Three Queens of Danmaku Are

We three queens of danmaku are;
Bearing spells we have fallen far,
Beaten and foiled after our toil,
Stopped by a girl bizarre.

Chorus
    Reimu, stop spamming your Fantasy Seal;
How else can our plans become real?
It is quite tiring when you come firing
    With your Hakurei pow'rs unreal.

Mistress of a mansion of red,
Yet the sun I grew up to dread.
The plot t'was most fun; I'd blot out the sun!
...Reimu ripped that plan to shreds.

Chorus

I rule o'er Hakugyokurou;
A cherry tree in my garden grows.
"Collect spring, and soon, the blossoms will bloom!"
...Thanks to Reimu, not one rose.

Chorus

My Impossible Requests five
None have passed while I've been alive,
'Til the last fight of Imperish'ble Night...
Somehow that Reimu survived.

Chorus

Why must she, the miko who flies,
Strike at us like we're just garden mice?
Still, not huge losses, for 'gainst Extra Bosses,
Reimu will want to think twice.

Chorus

While not what one would consider a "traditional" holiday song, it's the highlight of one of the most iconic Christmas TV specials of all time....

Original: You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

Original Lyrics
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch.

You're a bad banana
With a greasy black peel.

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul.
Mr. Grinch.

I wouldn't touch you, with a
thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.

You're a vile one, Mr. Grinch.
You have termites in your smile.
You have all the tender sweetness
Of a seasick crocodile.
Mr. Grinch.

Given the choice between the two of you
I'd take the seasick crockodile.

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch.
You're a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your soul is full of gunk.
Mr. Grinch.

The three words that best describe you,
are as follows, and I quote: "Stink. Stank. Stunk."

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch.
You're the king of sinful sots.
Your heart's a dead tomato splot
With moldy purple spots,
Mr. Grinch.

Your soul is an apalling dump heap overflowing
with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable
rubbish imaginable,
Mangled up in tangled up knots.

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch.
With a nauseaus super-naus.
You're a crooked jerky jockey
And you drive a crooked horse.
Mr. Grinch.

You're a three decker saurkraut and toadstool
sandwich
With arsenic sauce.

And now for the triangles (un)original....
Touhouification: You're a Mean One, Kanako (link only because the forums hate me and won't let me attach a file)
The clarinet playing is also me :V

You’re a mean one, Kanako
You really are an ass
No remorse for all the tengu
And the kappa you harass
Kanako

You’re a great big jerk who’s completely
deprived of class

You’re a monster, Kanako
Making Gensokyo your goal
Trying to steal away the faith
And the gods’ power as a whole
Kanako

I wouldn’t touch your shrine with a
Thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole

You’re a vile one, Kanako
You act like you own the place
But you’re just an interloper
And your miko’s a disgrace
Kanako

If I had the ability I would blast you
Straight to outer space

You’re a foul one, Kanako
Your fight is such a chore
Your bullets always find their mark
And my bombs you just ignore
Kanako

The two words that best describe you are as follows
And I quote:
“Cheating Whore!”

You’re a rotter, Kanako
Your greed just will not quit
Making Reimu actually do some work is
The worst crime you could commit
Kanako

You decided to trick a stupid crow into chowing down on a flame god,
Giving her crazy nuclear powers and an appetite for destruction,
And you didn’t care just one bit!

You nauseate me, Kanako
Yet you think we should exalt
But that crow making a geyser
Led to the U.F.O. assault
Kanako

In fact everything bad that’s happened since you came is
Somehow your fault!

I'll use this post to ask a question to everyone:

Because it is fun, I have decided that I will sing a second song, namely the one rjd522 posted.
But, seeing as the lyrics make this song more suited to be sung by a girl, I want to ask wether there are any girls who want to claim that song?
If there aren't, then I will claim it for myself and modify this post into the entry for the song once I've recorded it.

Sakana - I was actually thinking of giving it a shot just for the hell of it, as the song I was originally planning is just not in my vocal range and is a bust now, and the other-other song I'm working on I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off either

Also, for some dumb reason I can't attach my submission at all it's not over the file size limit so I got no idea what's wrong :'(

Original: Do You Hear What I Hear? (recording)

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song
High above the tree
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea

Said the shepard boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace wall mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light

The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light

Rewrite: Do You Hear What I Hear? (Yes, I know, so very creative. Titles aren't my strong suit. =P) (recording, also attached)

Said the frog goddess to her shrine maiden
Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, shrine maiden
Do you see what I see?
A ship, a ship
Soaring through the sky
Must be stacked with treasure so high
Must be stacked with treasure so high

Said the shrine maiden to the mouse leader
Do you hear what I hear?
On the treasure ship, mouse leader
Do you hear what I hear?
There's jewels, there's jewels
No matter what you say
I'll beat anyone in my way
I'll beat anyone in my way

Said the mouse leader to the tiger girl
Do you know what I know?
Soon our time will come, tiger girl
Do you know what I know?
The girls, the girls
Humans on their way
They will free our mistress today
They will free our mistress today

Said the tiger girl to all Gensokyo
Listen to what I say
Humans and youkai of Gensokyo
Listen to what I say
The monk, the monk
Sealed up for so long
She has come to right what is wrong
She has come to right what is wrong

The monk, the monk
Sealed up for so long
She has come to right what is wrong

Original: My Favorite Things (recording)
Comments: For those not familiar with the song, it's originally from the musical The Sound of Music, and while not technically a Christmas song it's gained some degree of association with the holiday season due to containing a lot of winter imagery.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into Springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

(Repeat all 1x)

Rewrite: My Least Favorite Cards (recording, also attached)
Comments: Despite the implications of the title/lyrics, the cards were chosen not really for difficulty (though I did try to stick with stages 5/6/EX) or personal dislike (even if you don't consider Easy/Normal and Hard/Lunatic name differences, the only EX I even have unlocked in the first place is IN), but just for at least vaguely proper scansion and rhyme and having fun with names.

Silent Selene and Scarlet Gensokyo
Catadioptric and Philosopher's Stone
Ripples of 495 Years
These are a few of the cards that I fear

Zenki and Goki and Motion and Stillness
Phantasm, Foam, Shadow, and Light and Darkness
Waves and Particles and Black Butterflies
These are a few of the cards I despise

Hourai Elixir and Curse of the Heavens
Possessed by Phoenix and Xu Fu's Dimension
Hourai Barrage up through Morning Mist
And many others, it's quite a long list

When I no-bomb
When I no-vert
When I'm pacifist
I simply remember my least favorite cards
And then I just go "Oh shit"

Misayama Shrine and Virtue of Wind God
Long-Arm and Long-Leg and Houei 4's Red Frog
Star Ritual to Call the Godly Winds
All cards I can't do, much to my chagrin

Ghost Wheels and Dead Ashes, Zombies and Cat's Walk
Id, Super-ego, and Rorschach in Danmaku
Nuclear Fusion and Ten Evil Stars
So many things among my hated cards

Radiant Treasure and Absolute Justice
Blue UFO, Green UFO, Undefined Darkness
Mystic Fragrance of a Makai Butterfly
These are the cards that make me want to cry

When I no-bomb
When I no-vert
When I'm pacifist
I simply remember my least favorite cards
And then I just go "Oh shit"

Original: Sailor Moon Christmas (recording)
You're getting a link for these lyrics because I had them all done up as a nice table in BBCode like for my rewrite below but apparently I deleted the text file, and damned if I'm doing that over.

Rewrite: Gensokyo Christmas Party (recording, also attached though at 192 kbps instead of 320 due to attachment size limits)
Comments: lol this song sounds so miserably dated. Probably did even when it was new. But I had a few lyric ideas and I ran with it, especially since I figured no one else would do this one. But anyway, I decided to keep the general feel of setting up for a Christmas party and mostly being a series of holiday imagery. Touhou character substitutions were done to fit lyrics as I came up with them rather than to match the original characters.

All:Mangetsu wa
Gensoukyou ni terashiteku
Hoshi-tachi ga matataki hajimeta wa
Minna ga matta ibu yo
The full moon
Shines down on Gensokyo
The stars have begun to twinkle
The eve everyone's waited for
Alice:Marisa mitai na
Kawaii ningyou wo ageru
I'll give a cute doll
That looks like Marisa
Yukari:Sukima wo hirakimashou
Minna wo koko ni tsuretekite
Let's open a gap
And bring everyone here
Yuyuko:Yane wo koeru
Saigyou Ayakashi wo
It passes through the roof
The Saigyou Ayakashi
Suika:Mushou no okashi ga atta koro
Jinja no miko ga kuru
Now that there's free snacks
The shrine's maiden is coming
Cirno:Hinyari heya ni
Ippai no AISHIKURU FOORU!
In this cold room
Full of ICICLE FALL!
All:Paatii wa kore kara
Konya wa ten wo ki ni sezu

Minna e merii Kurisumasu
Gensoukyou ni merii Kurisumasu
Pichun pi pi pichun, danmaku ikioiyoku

From here on out, it's party time
And tonight we won't worry about score

Merry Christmas to everyone
Merry Christmas to Gensokyo
Pichun pi pi pichun, danmaku flying vigorously
Our sake not even drop
Yuyuko:Yosuzume ga
Oi oi oi oishisou...
The night sparrow is
Deli-, deli-, deli-, delicious-looking!
Suika:Osake to tabemono wo ippai dashite
Enkai wo nani shiro!
[span class="mina"]We'll put out tons of booze and food
And throw some kind of feast!
Alice:Doko ni iru no
Marisa
Sora ni kieta
Taihen na mono to
Where are you,
Marisa?
You disappeared into the sky
With the precious thing
Yukari:Arisu, Reti yoAlice, there's Letty
Cirno:Hora howaito Kurisumasu
Look, it'll be a white Christmas
All:Paatii wa kore kara
Konya wa ten wo wasurete

Shinshin tsumori

Donna kachi mo kitto harete
Gensou no sekai

Sora ni hoshi ga
Futatabi zokutou shite
Dareka ga "ze" wo hibikase
Tobinukeru
Houki ni wa Marisa
Minna wo masupa
Merii merii Kurismasu!!
From here on out, it's party time
And tonight we'll forget about score

There's a new plan
The ground is covered in bullets
No matter who wins, it'll surely clear
And leave an illusionary world

The stars in the sky
Are spiraling out again
Someone's voice rings out with a "ze"
Above all other sounds
On her broom, it's Marisa
Master Sparking everyone!
Merry, merry Christmas!!

I figured someone might want to sing this...

Jingle Bells Original: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvKRHyPj0j8)
Lyrics:
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

-----------------------------------------

Touhou version: Donations (music already provided in previous link)
lyrics

Dashing through patterns
High up in the sky
I make my living
Killing all youkai
Bow up in my hair
Making youkai bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A slaying song tonight

Oh, Donations, Donations
Please donate to me
Oh, I can't go another year
in squalid poverty
Danmaku, Danmaku
Grazing all the way
Sheesh it is a real big pain
to wait until pay day

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a break
and I soon discovered
I had lost my rake
My tea was gone as well
and at first thought Inaba
But post-danmaku battle
Learnt it was Marisa

Oh, Donations, Donations
Please donate to me
Oh, I can't go another year
in squalid poverty
Danmaku, Danmaku
Grazing all the way
Sheesh it is a real big pain
to wait until pay day

Hakurei, Hakurei
Why am I so poor?
I'd really rather not go selling
luck charms door to door
Donations, donations
your clatter I wish to hear
Oh, what a freaking drag it is
To hear nothing all year

Here's a sung version of rdj522's We Three Kings Queens awesome lyric rewrite, so all the info needed in is his post.  I dropped a few adjective/"little" words here and there and used pronouns for Reimu to fit the rhythm better, but nothing bit enough I think it warrants reposting.

(and now it really shows I have zero singing training oh well :V)

I thought you did great.  :V

Yeah, the song really does flow a bit better with the substitutions/drops you made.

I was going to sing triangle's Kanako song, but so far I just haven't.  Letty and I did create this though:

I saw Alice kissing Marisa

Original:
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
She didn't see me creep
down the stairs to have a peep;
She thought that I was tucked
up in my bedroom fast asleep

Then
I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white;
Oh what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night

Touhou Version:

I saw Alice kissing Marisa,
Underneath the Hourai Doll last night.
That witch is a crook,
so I came to get my book.
It's really kinda hot,
so I'll just watch from the corner.

Chen
I saw Alice f**king Marisa,
with her giant f***nari d**k.
She was drilling that pu**y hard,
with her huge, phallic spell card.
Alice really is a lucky b**ch.
