Shit.

I have to choose between taking Two-Hand to make the first part easy, or Zeninage to make the second part easy.

I'd go for more long-term consistency-you can restart for bad luck early on but if you get unlucky late in the fight you have no choice but to roll with it.
...
I'm assuming you have a 2-handed Samurai already.

I'm done, at least for run 1. Will send the pics to Gilgabot later. Not sure if I'll do some more.

Everyone ended at level 40. I guess that's what having a 150 power Brave Blade does to your levels. I also kind of went through the final dungeon 3 times, 2 going through and 1 backtrack. Omega and Shinryu were defeated. Shinryu wasn't as easy as I would have liked because I didn't want to wait for an enemy to mini one of my characters for the doubled evasion(99% with Genji Shield) then go through the entire void area with the status on. Also didn't help that you have to Reflect Berserk onto Shinryu from the !Release, so I only had 2 characters with Hermes Sandals equipped and 2 with the Reflect Ring.

Edit: Never mind, just sent them.

Also, it only took 9 Crystal Dragons to get the Dragon Lance.

Liquid Flame down at levels 3334.

Stuffman: The second stage is much more difficult than the first, so I recommend doing what you can to prepare for that the most.

MISSION COMPRETE. Took me about five tries.

Overall a surprisingly decent team, it was convenient that I got Knight followed by two more jobs that can two-hand. I was able to mash my way through most of the game, with a few hiccups associated with an all-physical team. Samurai really saved my bacon though, not sure what I would've done without katana crits and Zeninage.

Finished at level 45, clocked in at 21:53. I did a significant amount of grinding to deal with Exdeath.

Nothing this team can do about Shinryu and Omega, so that completes my run.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand Exdeath down. That was actually really simple with Chemists and Dragon Power spam on Bartz. He could deal like 6000 damage a turn between his dual Twin Lances. Chemists are so broken, haha. ^^;

...Whoever suggested that Berserking Omniscient is a good idea needs to explain the ~2000 damage dealt to Bartz and Krile from physical attacks. >_>;
EDIT: Oh wait, I can just Reflect Rings on everyone and make him murder himself. Good thing I have the four from before. ^^;

Nice. If you're playing the GBA version you can go for Omega. Meteor can damage him, even if it's not reliable.

I'm not sure who did, but since the players list says you have Mystic Knight, you could just use Spellblade Silence on him.

My victory has been cleared so i can start a new run. Would either be Random or 750 this time. Don't know if I'd do Natural again, but I'm surprised how good the team I got for no 750 was considering the natural crystal thing.

Team 750 Natural, and the first job is Blue Mage.

I've soloed the game using only this job before. Now please let me get Chemist so I can beat Omega and Shinryu again.

Edit:

Blue Mage, Summoner, Geomancer, Dancer

So, just how screwed am I when it comes to Omega? Even getting Bard wouldn't have been a guarantee due to Natural. I was really hoping for Chemist so I could do Dragon Kiss to protect against Maelstrom, the Haste mix, and boost my blue mage's level so that it would be equal to Omega's so I could do good damage with Goblin Punch. But Gilgabot did not know what I wanted.

Shinryu's still doable(Wonder Rod for Berserk, plus I think it'd be possible even if I couldn't have Berserked him)

White Mage means you can take out Shinryu with Berserk and Image.  !Lance as a secondary command to drain MP is helpful.
Mystic Knight means you can damage Omega.
Beastmaster and Dragoon will either equip Spellblade or White Magic depending on Omega or Shinryu, you should be able to take both out though Omega will be trickier.

I have the same team but with Ranger instead of Beastmaster so I get the added advantage of X-Fight  :V

Beastmaster's !Calm works on Omega; if you have three users using it with the right timing, you can prevent Omega from attacking at all. If the last user uses Thundaga Sword, Omega should be quite beatable.

that only works in the GBA version. But if you're playing it, feel free to abuse it. Omega has extremely stupid evade and counters.

oof that was one of the trickiest fights yet for Team Random Damage Slash Newborn Kittens.  Like I'd just reset if Vacuum Wave took one of my squishies out before I could finish Blinking everyone or I only had one person I could control after a badly timed Zombie Breath, etc etc.  Blink + Reflect is the only way I beat him, without either of those spells I don't think this battle would be possible at normal levels with my party, and even then I was scrambling to make sure I could keep those two statuses up and reapply as soon as they faded otherwise welp, you see what happened to Krile over there if there's a gap in coverage....

Hmm I guess I better start charging that chicken knife, I've been slacking on being a wuss in random battles haha.

That was the fight that literally took me 18 minutes for that team under natural settings @_@

I should really do some grinding of the chicken knife myself so I can start streaming again shame on me @_@

My Team 750 is going to finish with higher levels than the no 750 did. I'm currently at level 36, have only done 1 of the tablets. I have done Phoenix Tower though and farmed 3 hermes Sandals and got enough Reflect Rings to sell for a 4th.

I have the Chicken Knife + 50% chance of Swords Dance, which is so good. And the knife isn't even maxed yet. Even still, I would have rather had Chemist than the Dancer, just to make Omega easier. I still think I can beat him though since I'm pretty sure both my Summoner and Dancer could damage it. But Summoner would likely be support since I'd need to keep Carbuncle up and the Blue Mage would be total support. I would have to worry about Maelstrom since I can't null it due to not having Chemist.

Plus, I'm not sure what level I'd need to survive some of the Omega attacks with Shell on.  Specifically the flamethrower and Atomic Ray(assuming I don't have Carbuncle on). I'm thinking I'll want to aim for around 2000-2500 HP, but I'll also need to farm up Elixirs to be able to restore lots of MP.

Well...I fought Odin for the first time ever.
Ended with 0 seconds left...in a win  :V

Also picked up 4 Hermes Sandals/Haste Shoes/RUnning Shoes/whatever and 4 Coral Rings to prepare for, well, everything upcoming in the game.

Mystic Knight with X-Fight/Sshot destroys Omniscient, and I had no encounters running up the entire physical side of Fork Tower.

I definitely need more levels and Elixirs for Omega with this team. Just lost a fight that was somewhere between 1-2 hours of Omega because I completely screwed things up and lost control. It doesn't help that my team couldn't consistently survived Atomic Ray with Shell and if I accidentally reflected one, that's a lot of healing for the boss. I'm not sure how many cycles of his pattern I survived, but it's very survivable if you don't trigger the counters until he has used Search.

At least I can quicksave for Crystal Dragons then use the Wonder Rod as an item for Reset if I get the Dragon Lance. Natural Blue Mage, Summoner, Geomancer, and Dancer is not a good team for this. I should probably try to get the Rune Bell for Faris so that maybe she can do a little damage to Omega and provoke some of his counters. The Tinkerbell doesn't seem to do damage, but the MP crits should.

Chicken Knife Sword Dance when it procs was a bit over 3,000. Boosted Ramuh was around 1,000. I was only attacking Omega after I reflected one of his Searches so that he would target himself with the counters so that I wouldn't have to worry about the Encircles and Rocket Punches, and the Mustard Bombs would hurt it some.

Edit: I should also probably grab a Silence immunity equip for my Summoner. Having to lose a chance to attack for a cycle because Lenna got silenced isn't cool.

Wow, between MapleStory and keeping up with my own game, I forgot about this thread completely. ^^;;

Anyways, up to ExDeath's Castle II. The only troublesome part so far was Atomos (bastard wouldn't stop casting Comet!) and the Crystal Guardians...The latter I kinda cheesed thanks to the Coral Rings and Zeninage. :V I may need to spam the hell out of that skill when I fight Shinryu (it's doable!) and Neo ExDeath. Gil Turtle and Omega can put on Forever Alone faces for all I care.  :colbert:

Re: FFV Four Job Fiesta 2013

did some leveling. Checked Omega's AI script and realized I was remembering it wrong and that it was 3 guaranteed Wave Cannons per pattern cycle and not 2. So I then knew when to time the Carbnucles so that I never reflected an Atomic Ray back at him. Silence immunity for Lenna also helped. That and Bartz could provoke counters with reflected Mind Blast, Lenna with Summons, Krile with Sword Dance, and Faris with Rune Bell hits, so everyone was contributing to the damage, even Omega because he uses the counters on himself whenever you reflect a Search. Then killed him after 25 minutes because I wasn't reflecting any Atomic Rays at him for more healing than I was doing in damage.

Edit:

Killed 3 of Neo Exdeath's parts before the 30 second countdown from Doom killed the one that's vulnerable to Doom or Magic Lamp Odin. The fight ended with the doom counter on the last part.

Omega kill
Shinryu kill
Neo Exdeath

and so the adventures of Team "What's AoE" come to an end, with all 3 main foes slain.
[attach=4][attach=3]
[attach=2][attach=1]
Not bad ending levels I'd say, 5 levels lower than my first playthrough, and I first tried Neo Exdeath (and Shinryu, but with a White Mage and control of 3 people, minimum it's a joke fight)
