It's completely fair to expect people to have their stuff ready. You were told when to expect something, it's no fault of yours that they couldn't keep their word. But it's the internet, any expected sense of commitment and responsibility needs to be prepared for disappointment because the vast majority simply don't care enough to honour their words.

I know. My text is part honest, part sarcasm and part confused. I am currently drifting between honest and confused, while that was vaguely sarcastic.

Anyway, my rambling is pretty much irrelevant and it's going on for far too long. I eagerly await being grinded into a pulp by a withering barrage of typical mafia jargon.

It's not you, it's having nothing to do.

Also impatience.

Also newbness.

But mostly having nothing to do. Most of my posts are prime examples of having nothing to do.

Ahh, the Antsy, creeping feeling one has in the time between signing up and receiving their role~
I generally don't expect to get my role as soon as they're written. I expect to get them just before the game starts.

Heh, yeah, it's my first time and I am sort of anxious.
Especially since now is the time that can be classified as "just before the game is supposed to start". Excitement!

4 games after this one until it's Prinny Mafia time. I wonder how burned out people will be by then? Even though Prinnies are absolutely amazing and cute...

In that case I propose a break after Serela's game to unburn out.

and if not, I can just add delays and stuff to the start of mine to force it anyway

The more important question is: Why has it taken us this long to begin talking about gay werewolves?

We can just skip you for someone who's ready!

It amazes me that I don't recall anyone mentioning this postgame and suddenly everyone is now, forever later.

IHNN, with how the current game is going, I'll probably try to do a small break (like a week, not something much) before my game anyway. It'll give me a little more time to poke up flavor and make sure the setup is actually balanced. (I only finished it like, n1 of PX's game. Hooray procrastination. ...so yeah it's probably best for everyone if I do that.)

With how the current game is going, I may just effect something I had in mind for the end of the year much sooner. If it happens, nobody will ever need to care about their setups being ready or not.

I actually kind of actively don't want to have my game go after this anyway, regardless of whatever's Pesco thing is. A lot of people probably don't particularly want to play more role madness after this either. My setup can go, like, sometime later >_> Assuming it's not entirely removed from the list of possibility ala whatever this thing happening is.

The adjustment is to reflect mafia's status in RPG. It's been clear for a long time that text adventures take up more of the front page, generate the most activity and is the biggest attraction in terms of people making new games and participating in them. Mafia's preferential treatment has been for old time's sake, which is now far outlived. The policy change is simply that forum staff will no longer directly support mafia games.

- Mafia threads are treated the same as any other thread in RPG and will not be stickied. Every game thread earns its place on the front page through being active.
- Godmother will not be given to people running a mafia game. Thread moderation has always been granted to the thread's creator in RPG, you haven't lost anything here.
- The game hosting queue remains or is ignored at your own choice. It would be preferable if all hosting and signups were kept to one thread. I won't stop you from making separate threads for each game's signups, but they will be deleted when RPG goes through a general cleanup.
- Banlists and consequences for unlikeable players will be up to each person running the game to take care of on their own. Moderation is only going to step in if it's a matter on forum rules level. Game internal events are dealt with by the game's rules.
- The anon accounts will be disabled for security reasons.

Mafia can still be played. You guys will just be looking after everything yourself.

So basically nothing is really changing unless we want it to. Okie then.

YAR HAR HAR THIS BE A HOSTILE TAKEOVER. Even if huh what cut me with a game suggestion. Serela the Scurvy has indeed suggested he is too scared to run his setup, and we can take vanilla breaks at our leisure. Pesco has implied he will not be bothering to update things so if we want to use the que (which I think we should just to make things simpler, and concurrent games would probably not go well unless they're small), someone will have to volunteer to have the coveted first post spot for the next thread. I suggest we nominate myself because I am awesome talk over who wants to do the effortwork on that.

I suggest that for further volunteers for mafia mods we simply ask that they have the game designed before they ask for a spot to run. If we did that I think games would be a wee bit more balanced. I'm sure I can tie Kitten4u in my basement for help with setup pokings.

/in and I promise I will spend less of this game sleeping, but you can always quicklynch me Day 1 if you want.
