Oh sweet, I'll finally get to play Current Code! Now the question is, should I be using my
Fighting Commander Pro, or my
HRAP.I think I'll be better off with a pad. I'm used to using pad and sucked every time I've touched a stick. I just need a good pad.
Sticks take a looot of getting used to, especially if you're a lifelong pad user like me. I'm still experimenting with my HRAP- I've already tried an octogonal gate, wanting a similar feel to Nintendo's newer (that is, N64 and onward) control sticks; QC's come out pretty consistently, but my Ultras (SSFIV AE PC) are getting read as DP's (or worse, EX DP's) a lot, and I can't consistently do DP's worth shit. I'm planning on grabbing a circle gate (to simulate American arcade builds), a
Seimitsu stick with less throw, and concave buttons. Finding your preference with sticks requires you to experiment for awhile, and to log a serious amount of time into practice mode.
If you decide you want to go with a pad, I heavily recommend going
claw style to simulate the quickness of sticks- trying to use your thumb is a no-no when doing those tight combos.
