MegaMari. I squee'd like a little girl the first time I got up to the castle stages and saw the quickman death lasers, and buster dueling Yukari is one of the most awesome things I've ever done in a video game. The nostalgia card doesn't work on me very often, but when it does, holy cow does it work.

Mystical chain gets honorable mention, especially with the way the extra stage tweaks off of EX-Alice's original spells.

Touhouvania.

New Super Marisa Land and Fantasy Maiden Wars E are good as well... but Touhouvania holds a special place in my heart.

..is it me, or does it feel weird to refer to Koumajou Densetsu as its Western fan name (Touhouvania)?

All right. I've finally made up my mind. I do love Touhou Soujiki for being so unique (as far as I know there are no other Touhou fangames that have the protagonist sweeping her way through Gensokyo with a literal broom), but ultimately it just doesn't have the sheer amount of content Touhou Rekkaden does. Even though it's been a while, I still really like that game, so I pick that.

Labyrinth of Touhou / Touhou no Meikyuu. It's just such a goddamn awesome RPG by any standards, and then it's a Touhou game on top of that.

What is your favorite extra theme?

Don't need to stall for two days to decide this one: Alice in Wonderland. One of the most nostalgic themes I've ever heard from ZUN. It has that quality that makes me love PC-98 music. <3 Honorable mention to Last Remote.

Extra Love. UFO Romance in the Night Sky comes close because it sounds like La Blue Girl's theme.

Also, this is pretty late, but I've decided that my favorite Magical Astronomy song is Greenwich in the Sky. I'm also gonna say that the songs from this CD were awesome in general. I'm glad I got around to listening.

Since when does having one melody make the theme bad? Most of ZUN's themes are like this, and yet most of them are exceptionally good.
