The revival!
So Reflec Beat came out on iOS the other day and it's surprisingly fun! Not too many songs yet, but hopefully they'll pick out some good ones.

Pop'n Portable 2 is also out! It's Pop'n Portable, but with different songs. Also you can select any difficulty for songs in the unlock mode so that's cool, I guess.

Got to play IIDX 19 Lincle last week. Good God, the song lineup is great this time around. Always nice to see artists I recognize in IIDX now. (Nhato, Masayoshi Minoshima, REDALiCE, Hommarju, etc) Also, THANK GOD THEY FINALLY ADDED SONG PREVIEWS TO MODES OTHER THAN BEGINNER MODE. Grind the forest for more EXP, by the way.

One little problem, though: Star Trail. Genre: Trance. Start of song: WUBWUBWUBWUB.

So while Lincle Link part 2 was big disappointment for the jubeat side (IIDX got 3 jubeat songs while jubeat got nothing but sharing a new song with IIDX)

it was surprising enough when part 3 of Lincle link was jubeat and IIDX again, and the content this time was quite interesting too.

When the announcement first came up it only said that there's a new song WONDER WALKER by L.E.D. and that you can get it through jubeat from matching but someone must unlock it from IIDX first.
It took like 5 days for someone to unlock but he didn't play Jubeat to spread it until recently or something. (He's still the only one right now.)

Why must L.E.D. songs be so difficult to follow the rhythm? The huge spin at 1:25 is interesting, but I can imagine myself getting blue bars everywhere in this song. T_T

Another good news is that there's one more new song "yellow head joe" by S-C-U (Lv10 for both ADV and EXT what), which is kinda reverse in terms of method of unlocking : Unlock on Jubeat, spread in IIDX through rivals.
The bad news is you have to full combo WONDER WALKER on jubeat for all difficulties to get it orz. And you cannot get it by matching.

Can't wait to go spam online matching again to get WONDER WALKER, but finals are coming so I don't think I'll be going arcades any time soon.

I just got matched for yellow head joe on jubeat online matching the other day, not a really difficult chart IMO. But yeah, that unlocking condition is probably the hardest one yet. Will still spam for WONDER WALKER, though!

A friend of mine decided to pull some strings in the new arcade that opened up in Mall of Asia, called GameZone.

We now have... =drum roll=...

IIDX SIRIUS AND POP'N MUSIC PARTY!

Yes, people. Finally. Updated Bemani machines. Ones that TimeZone PH would never touch. Looks like TZ just lost a fair portion of their rhythm gamer base with this one, or if they haven't yet, they will if GameZone decides to get jubeat.

I played both today, and I have to say that both machines are of impeccable quality. The only problems with SIRIUS are its replacement screen (currently being looked into) and the fact that it's beat#1 (as opposed to beatfree). Pop'n PARTY used to have a bad yellow microswitch, but that was fixed almost immediately. AND it's also Phase MAX (fully unlocked.)

GameZone is new to the market, so they're very open to suggestions, and as they are a Japan-based company (IIRC) they're more likely to get newer Bemani machines, so please support them!

Also noteworthy are the nigh-perfect GFDMV7 set and the DDR Solo, also in great condition.

EDIT: Reflec Beat plus is AWESOME. I already got the Rose explosion, what comes next?

Speaking of living, if you need to board up or something to get away from shit for a while, we happen to have this condo unit we rent out every now and then. I'll ask mom if it's open. What does potentially suck is that it's 1k/day, but hey, it's like a walk away from DLSU.

Not to mention the LRT you could take to Buendia -> jeep to MoA.

So yeah GO ASAP (if there's an LRT/MRT near you distance is not an issue)

I'm honestly not sure how long the videos have been up, though. All of them seem to have little views and no comments (I'd assume they'd be taken down otherwise <_<), I just accidentally came across the Flockstep one while searching.
