1. e4!
Suddenly the cave you are in lights up as semi-translucent and gloriously detailed chess pieces seemingly spring to life with a will of their own! One white pawn from each board starts to slide along its craggy bottom until it stops two spaces in front of its King.
Good luck you ill-fated children, for you shall surely need it! Chess pieces seal the exit and it seems you have no choice now but to play the game. Your pieces look to you with expectation. Command them and they will follow!
