>You are Byakuren Hijiri, 18 years old, resident of the city of Mayoiga, caretaker (owner) of Rin Kaenbyou, resident of the Moonside apartments, and third year student of Mayoiga High. A few days ago, you were the most popular girl in school, one of the most well-known and liked girls around town. And then you touched a strange doll, and saw a world not your own. That was the day that everything changed, and you became Magical Lotus, the Hero of the Heart.
>Three days have passed since your battle with the yellow-skinned Youma, the day you overcame the temptations of the darkness and took the fate of the world into your own hands. Since that day, however, despite the warning you'd received and the turmoil you expected to come, it hasn't yet. Life has gone on as normal. Thursday you and Rin spent recuperating in bed, attended to by Minoriko once she got back from school. Rin was pretty much back to normal by the end of that night, but it took you until Friday morning to feel like yourself again. If you ever have to do this again, you sincerely hope it won't leave you as drained next time, as when classes on friday were over, the good had gone out of you, and you spent the rest of that day resting and ruminating on the events of Wednesday. The thought that you might have killed that creature, rather than expunging a lifeless dark blot from the world, shook you deeply. The mystery of which is the truth haunts you as well, as you've seen no sign of the doll since, and no other source of answers, for that question or any other, have revealed themselves yet.
>The lack of furthur conflict could be explained by the lack of power of the enemy, if you can believe what the doll told you. Another mystery, however, is that when you tried to speak to Rin about what happened, she told you she only remembers investigating the weird sound with you, and then blacking out. You spoke to Kyouko about it, too, on saturday between classes, and she had a similar story, not remembering much after she and Lily were... finished. She was quite grateful that you were concerned, and slightly flustered as well. A note of personal concern from the Morning Star of Mayoiga is a bit of a thing for your peers, after all. Whether this is due to some lingering effect of the Youma's attack, a trick of memory played by your enemy or perhaps even the doll, or some form of trauma that you evaded, you cannot determine.
>It is Sunday morning now. There is no school today, obviously, and you're feeling fine and dandy. No more lingering debilitating effects of your battle that you can detect. The day is yours.
