Played some DOJBL.
Two-missed first loop. ( both deaths on last boss, died with two bombs once )
Made it to 2-3 boss again
Then I got an game over. Fuck.

Practiced DOJBL again. Started from a savestate, entered loop with 4 lives ( missed twice in first loop ).
In stage 2-3 I died with full bomb-stock.
Made it to half-way of stage 2-4 boss.

Final score was 310 millions. ( in beginning of 2-1 I had 200 millions )

Ground Skater in the loop is brutal, it's the only one I'm flat-out not going to bother with the technical bonus for. Way too risky in a real run for me.

I'm using this thing which is pretty boring and standard, and deinterlacing as suggested by moozooh (low compression first then a higher level). So no, there's nothing particularly awesome about it, I was just expecting far worse results

I've beaten my score from yesterday, but I think I'll wait to see if I can beat it tomorrow before posting again. The first four loop stages are coming along decently. After much savestate abuse, I now have a 2-bomb strategy to get the Tech Bonus on Ground Skater. Which is probably what I'll rely on for a long time, because I really don't want to try and dodge that shit in an actual run.

btw, do you have any strategy for that one attack on loopThanatos's second form? The spray of oval-shaped bullets.
