So, when I learned that the Kpop group that sang "Keep Your Head Down" is called TVXQ (동방신기), I instantly made a connection between "동방" and "東方" (Touhou). Indeed, my friend google tells me that the group's name in Hanja (Kanji) is 東方神起. Also, this picture.

(for most of us - "Dong Bang Sin Gi" is the romanization (revised standard), and if the hanja is pronunced in Japanese kanji instead, "Touhou Sinki". *cue Shinki reference here*)

A bit old, but I went to Anime Expo about a month ago, and spent nearly $100 on Touhou merchandise without even a second thought.

What's wrong with me........

(But then again, I don't know if I wanna be right)

Since then, I've ordered in $20 worth of mini-figurines, and a $40 plush. And the price of addiction continues to rise........

Heh, Tohoshinki. I fangay'd over a music vid of theirs when it was shown on TV just because.

Also, when you do too much research on Japanese mythology just because of Touhou and come up with OTPs such as Shou x Konngara.

When you (1) go on an all-out synth shopping spree (got 4 synths over the summer - 3 Roland/Edirol, 1 Yamaha) partly due to wanting to learn ZUN style and (2) decide to name them all after Touhous.

I've named my tabletop synths after the Prismrivers - Merlin (SD-90, thanks to the ZUNpets / Romantic Tp.), Lyrica (MU1000, good general-purpose synth), and Lunasa (SC-8850, unusually potent for orchestral works).
Should I go for portable synths (namely MU500 and SC-8820) as well, I'll name them and the SD-20 (also mobile) after the Three Faeries as well.

And if this expands to pro-level synths such as Fantoms and Motifs, they'll be Kaguya and Mokou, respectively, owing to Roland and Yamaha hating each other's guts (even goes so far as to have few Cakewalk INS patches for Yamaha synths, and few Cubase Patch Scripts for Roland ones).

I start seeing random character names everywhere. I'll scroll, think I see "Yukari" or something and scroll back and up go "I saw her name, where is it!?" Happened once on facebook when I saw the name L**** Whitlock... and here I thought Letty "liked" something.

Nice. I've already named my computers as well - custom desktop's 'hakurei'. while my x201 is 'kirisame', regardless of OS. Just continuing a trend.
